- In this week’s interview, Spongy Rollaa “Taps In” with PPhilms to discuss his journey and reason for getting into rap, and how he created the buzz he’s garnered thus far.
Just as he was getting his rap career off the ground, Spongy Rollaa was arrested and sentenced to 3 years in prison. During his stint in jail, he learned his worth and who was actually in his corner. Coming home focused and recharged, Spongy Rollaa hit the ground running and began releasing tracks and accompanying music videos. Since then, his fans have been keeping that same energy, showing him just as much love now as they did before he went away in 2016.
During the interview, Spongy Rollaa shares his views on the drill scene that dominates the industry today, and his feelings about “opps” (rappers beefing with him) dissing him. He may not care to give them attention, but he’s clear on where he stands on collaborating with them. He says he is absolutely closed off to doing songs with his “opps,” and anyone found fraternizing or collaborating with the enemy.
“If You Know You Know.” Somewhat of a mantra for the artist, Spongy Rollaa defaults to this line, pleading the 5th on topics and questions he believes shouldn’t be recorded or broadcasted on the internet. He does, however, speak on one of his favorite songs, an unreleased track, and discusses plans to release a lot more music in the near future. TAP IN‼️
