He bid the job for ONLY $300!! I told him I would have charged at least $500. I just wanted too know if he low balled himself? Cause I think he could charge more but idk.
Absolutely lowballed. Think about this: you gathered all your tools, drove to the job, set up everything, climbed up 60’ onto a sloping, hot, metal roof, then cleaned and sprayed it down. Then had to climb down, pack up, drive home, unpack and clean up. You did that for $150 each. 3 jobs on the same street? Your pricing is great; doing all that for a one-shot? Gutter Stuff works great but ages badly. Expensive too but if you leave it the crud starts to grow in the open cells, it crusts over, and your gutters don’t work. You can clean them and reuse them though.
I live in a wooded area and read reviews on various gutter guards. The material used in this video had very bad reviews over time. I went with stainless steel gutter guards. Haven’t had another problem with my gutters in about 7 years.
Man, that moss REALLY liked having a porous medium full of water to grow on. Seriously? Who would ever think putting foam on your gutters would ever be helpful?
Yeah I was thinking the same thing like holy crap you're creating so much more work for yourself! On top of that you could end up going down and cleaning the mess off and then they've got a spot on their pavers that's cleaner than the rest so it discolored and then they be pissed off about that.. at the very least he could have thrown them all in the same spot in the grass or something if he wasn't going to use the tarp
At first I thought that was just debris and crap that had gathered and somehow coagulated into some holiday fruitcake looking thing! It was like holy crap then I noticed for some reason somebody stuck a bunch of foam in their gutters... WTF is that! Seems like a horrible idea!
Why would somebody pay for gutters (drain the water)and then fill them with foam?(not a drop of water can be drained)+foam cost?there will always be things with no logic people do
I just did a gutter cleaning job that had those foam inserts. They definitely don't work debris sits on top and underneath them was all muck! Threw them all out! 200ft of them.
I’d be quite annoyed if I was paying for my gutters to be cleaned and then seeing him throwing the “debris” all around, making a mess and then maybe actually charging for cleaning it up…!
I don't think so. It's gonna take two minutes. You can clean it yourself next time Mr expert. I'd hate to see you on an actual construction job if you think this was actually a mess.
wow!!!...you are just picking up and trashing as if it is just on the ground...I am afraid of heights and looking at you I am amazed!! By the way thanks for sharing how terrible foam gutter guards are!!..
Lucky it wasn't me doing that job. I would've tossed it right on their deck. But hey, I clean my own gutters, once a year. Well I mean my son cleans them so he has a roof over his head and food in his belly.
I have never in my life seen a guest that was packed full to the brim... the owners of that place need to spend hmm maybe about 30 minutes a week? Instead of waiting 6 months.. but hey, you getting paid my brother!!
Those are foam. They just have a layer on top of them. Bad solution. Hope he just put a screen on top or just leaving the gutters open would be better. Lol
And there’s no way the foam can allow a downpour of water to filter through it and all the shit growing on top of it so you just have clogged gutters leaking everywhere. Gutter guards are idiotic. Just clean your gutters twice a year.
There HAS to be a better way to get those down than randomly throwing them in the owners yard. I hope u cleaned their driveway and pavers before u left. Wow. 😮
