@@Mark-wj8kl To keep it short for the best of my abilities. Trucks of all sizes come with liftable axles. - Short reason why, is to save on fuel by dragging less wheels on the ground and the same time save on tire wear. - Lift axles are mostly located behind the steer axle (front most axle). - Drive axles are the one's moving the truck with the engines power through drive shafts. - Drive axle and steer axle always remain on the ground. - Lift axles: - can be placed between the steer and drive axles, this is known as a "midlift" - can be behind the drive axle, known as a "twin tag" or just a "tag axle". Quick pros and cons: (lift axles) - (pros) Midlifts dont need as long of a truck to install, also tend to wear down the tires the least. - (cons) Midlifts are not really suited for offroading/low traction applications. Since weight is shared almost equally on the drive and steer axle. - (pros) Tags can improve turning radius. Are better at low traction situations since most of the weight is on the drive axle. - (cons) Tags tend to wear out faster and also tend to require a longer truck to be installed.
As a Brit living and working in Iceland, "blizzard conditions" made me chuckle... That's a light dusting mate. Seems like both you and the R Series handled it well though. Top stuff! :D
Few years ago you helped rescue a truck full of potatoes. Seems that some of those potatoes were stolen. And most, if not all you followers who film you are using those potatoes to film you on the road.
They have snow gates on the southern end of the northbound and the northern end of the southbound so you can get out if you are already in either section.
Absolutely brilliant, while you was with Wayne in his yard, that gave me a laugh, was like a comedy act, a (Red) comedy act. Also I would of paid to come on a night out trip to Scotland with you, top man Tim loving your content!!
Yet another great video< we got snowed in, or delayed, it took us 3 hrs to go from Huntingdon to Stowmarket, this was in 2002!, Keep the videos coming, have been through a bad time last year & they have helped me cope, big thank you for that. would love to come to the airfield oneday..
Love the video again Tim! Awesome Trucking through the blizzard and the night with a 750 XXL Volvo FH16 on the back did Trucker Tim never look back! When are you going to feature the 4 series again on the channel Tim? I really do miss it...
Nice one one good bit o driving that looked a bit sketchy them roads . Looks a tidy old truck. I think one of them front bull bars would look great on yours Tim . Another great video.
Hi tim hope you and the family are well mate I am a big lorry fan and I want to be a lorry driver when I'm older watching your videos are the best you are the best youtube best truck driver on youtube and hope you had a lovely new you 2025 hope more fabulous videos will be coming love fc24
The snow wasn't even all that bad, got worse and stayed until the weekend. The road to Aberdeen isn't a great road but gets better south of Aberdeen. Had a couple Scanias get stuck at work but the mighty DAFs and MANs managed
I had a Volvo FH12 2002 which had what I think was called the office pack.. basically it had a table and seats in the back which could also be made up as a bed.. quite handy for paperwork.
Oh my gosh Tim, that truck and trailer of yours is absolutely stunning, looks stunning on the road, love your colours too, I know I've asked a few times im not trying to be annoying but please would you announce which truck shows your at for 2025 the uk ones please as I really want to get tickets, thankyou so much
Well Tim you had Lake Effect Flurries in Scotland Blizzard conditions would be 477 inches of snow and minus 20 and 80 mph winds please be careful when it gets slippery over there
Trucker Tim you are allowed to youse side pipes but just the upper pipes you are putting on the s series so you can there is no harm on top of the truck
Another fantastic video, Tim. The R series performed exceptionally well in the snow . Ben was particularly fond of the Volvo, as he didn’t want you to deliver it. Mr. Richardson has some beautiful trucks and a fantastic setup.
Great video tim some nice trucks if im honest. Kind of funny being around buses alot thanks to my dad. The volvo air sound was familiar, tho I'm familiar with that for faults tho normally i heard the older 90s one on a b10m coach tho the wagon and drag scania was great too.
Tum never tired of watching your you tube video been watching Martin halls back video all day mate is it possible to do more for him with Olly if possible
We need more of Wayne please, he's brilliant on camera 😅 seems like a genuine top bloke

Great video. Mr Richardson that passed away will be looking down with a big smile when the new project. Rolls out of the paint shop in red🔴
Such an nice combo with the white volvo on the back Tim! 😍
Out of college, walking back home listening to this couldn't ask for a better Tuesday
Meanwhile most if not all nordic truckers watching this. Relaxing with their twin tags. Midlifts are just not for snow.😂
facts man
Sorry been a fan of Tim's since he was at data shredders but can someone plz explain what a twin tag and midlift is please 🙏

Think Ben is morphing into Oleksandr Usyk, uncanny resemblance.😂
In Finland we call snowy blizzardy driving weather "normal".
It’s funny watching this I did my license a few weeks ago now I’m a full time trucker thanks to you 😂 tanker boys feels abit strange 😂
Timbo should do POV's when his doing jobs would bring back the good old days of datashredders!
