Hi! My very first tip is to start preparing your application way before it’s due (and not leave it last minute like I did). I would also suggest reaching out to prospective professors you’d like to work with if you plan on doing a thesis based masters. I am not an expert on what the admissions office looks for, but I would suggest that you have a theme or clear intent in your personal letter (I.e., why are you choosing medical physics and why are you choosing their school/prof). I would recommend taking some courses so u know whether u like the content before u make the switch. I personally choose this major bc I am interested in healthcare and treating ppl but I am terrible at chemistry and am not interested in all fields of medicine. I did decently in both bio and physics in high school so I naturally gravitated towards this major. Good luck with ur studies 🍀
Good day i have question if you don't mind ? i did master of science in radiology but my bachelor degree is quite different (medicine mbbs) will i still be eligible to work as medical physicist knowing i did Msc in radiology which fall under MP fields.
Hi! You would still have to meet the CAMPEP requirements, either through a CAMPEP-accredited MSc, PhD, or just the courses (bridge program). Theres also residency and a certification exam after. There’s a lot of information out there and I’m definitely not an expert, so I recommend you keep digging to find information relevant to your experience and expertise! www.campep.org
