I have no idea how singers back then were able to sing so passionately in front of stone-silent dead crowds lol. Kudos to Lulu for not letting the silence hold back her passionate performance!
Genuinely LIVE! Wow! What a powerful, joyful voice! She is clearly having such fun despite the deadpan audience & rather Eurovision song! The musicians appreciate her & she made the conductor smile! All that teasing the cameraman , 😄especially at 2.04 just makes you enjoy the whole thing! Bravo Lulu!
Lulu having a ball, and no one can sing "Boom Bang-a-Bang" like her. Saw her in L.A. years ago at a TCM showing of "To Sir With Love" and she sang the film's title song in wonderful and moving fashion after a great interview. Love Lulu!
Absolutely banging performance. As an entertainer you can feel the contagious fun energy. This to me is what entertaining is all about. Sharing your honed talent & your wonderful stage presence in saying ‘let’s forget our worries just for one night’ Lulu you absolutely rock in this vid. Thank you. 👏
A big hit for here but in interviews she said she never liked it. But then she said she would sing Three Blind Mice if that’s what people wanted to hear. Always in it for the listener never selfish she is an artist that everyone could love.
Such a great live performance, although she didn't care much for the song, it demonstrated her vocal abilities, I love the way she flirts with the non-plussed audience and with the cameras stalking her. But she was obviously having fun, I love the point where she is wondering why she is carrying her award round with her,,, 🤣
good lord look at all the bored folks in the audience...lol...well done lass....xxxx we love yah Lulu....smack that wet fish across their faces...lolol xxx
@@ianrobert6239 People like you need to lighten up its called audience participation and performers live for it , Its called having a good time NOTHING WORSE than a quiet audience ask any performer .
The joyful energy from the German audience bring tears to my eyes.

I was thinking the same myself. it would not be like that in Lennoxtown or Glasgow!
Genuinely LIVE! Wow!

It is a Eurovision song. It won in 1969 (actually a four way tie for first place)
So secure of herself being so young. Brilliant person. (love you Lulu)

Fabulous. Lulu also proves that she knows how to use the stage effectively.
Ela toma domina o palco com uma facilidade inclusive ...
Not sure the goose stepping in front of a German audience such a wide choice! Bless...

Exactly right such a pity this audience don't seem to appreciate her talent .

My favourite singer and my favourite football club both have the same letters lu.lu
Luton Town?
Still a georgus goddess
I coming to see ypu at party at the palace
More fun In a cemetery than in that audience
Germans aren't exactly known for their spontaneous emotional outbursts.
@panzergrenadier2946 are right I didn't know that was taking place thank you for telling me
lulu`s best song
Maybe the crowd didn't like her goose step
What's wrong with that audience? Anyway, love you, LULU.
German lol
Nothing wrong with them. They are listening. What audiences need to do now instead of screaming and screeching over everything.
Everything is wrong with them. Stop bottling in your emotions & be a part of the party.@@ianrobert6239
Wow, the crowds going off? lol
They look like they've just come from a morgue, or thought this was going to be a classical opera.
Director de la orquesta: Alyn Ainsworth
How old is Lulu!!?
Lulu was still 22 when she was performing this song on the German TV show.
She was born on 3 November 1948.
Not sure about rhe goose stepping bit lol
She looks like mirada something from im a man
That crowd need to lighten up ffs .
German audiences (this footage is from the second (West) German TV network ZDF) are often a bit restrained.
IT's a German thing.
THATS why shes playing with the camera...go girl......
No they don't. People need to sit and be quiet in an audience.

Hmmm ,, the audience then ,, looks dead ..😝😝😝
Omg 😳 the ordinance looks with no emotion 😐…..
what a miserable bunch in the audience
What a load of crap
Yes that's exactly what you speak .
It's actually quite a good simple pop song. Unfortunately Lulu feels the same way you do and refuses to sing it anymore.
Most things intended for mass consumption normally are.
