Some of it is true and it may be the right thing to do. But on the other hand, sometimes a musician greatly depends on having an instrument that is of good quality when it comes to musical presentations and performances on stage. Having a quality professional synthesizer is not the same as having a beginner's keyboard or one that sounds like a toy, and many have told me this in the community of keyboard players in my country.
Would have liked to have seen the GEM on top put to use…that thing always reminded me of the Kurzweil K2500. I hail from Chicagoland and General Music North American distribution was out of Bensenville or Elk Grove Village I believe. I used to have an Italian curiosity: Seil Expander 80! Italo Forever
Very good execution and the truth is that it impresses me that those effects have an analog brass lift by Aftertocuh on the keys like the original song. 👌👌 Since I also want to do it with my Arturia VTS virtual instruments but I don't know how to do it with the Aftertocuh effect or with the knob and slider parameters with my Arturia MIDI keyboard that it comes with. What I do think, in my opinion, is that instead of an Accordion you would have played it with the sound of a Piano in the Chorus of the song on those keyboards because for me it sounds better, but I understand the taste and arrangements of each who as a musician and in any case you performed very well!!! 😅👍👍😎👏👏
You have a lot of credit for having accomplished this challenge! Like what, with the old (GEM in addition, a brand unfortunately disappeared and very fashionable at the time) we manage to do very beautiful things !!! :)

Generalmusic - Gem ELKA LEM,,,, was very far ahead of his time. what a wx2 and a wk4 could do in 1994, / 1998 a yamha genos 2 still cannot do this in 2024. a wk4 they Read samples from akai, sf2, and load them directly into the keyboard. Also edit midi settings and midi filters. copying measurements into a midi file to other positions in the song. .. etc. You can forget it on a Yamaha Genos 2. I have never understood how a company with so much experience can suddenly go bankrupt. I always thought they killed the company. It is impossible to break with this lead. Someone has played a dirty foul game with Generalmusic. .
