सुभाष भाई आपका यह कहना कि पहाड़ में फसलें, फल या लोगो में ताक़त की कमी है देसी लोगो की तुलना में ये बात तो सिरे से ग़लत है।
जहां तक फसलों या फलों की बात है हाँ कुछ फल या अनाज जैसे आम या मक्का देसी मैदानो में बेहतर है लेकिन पहाड़ की कई फ़सलें अनाज व फलों की पौष्टिकता व स्वाद ऐसे है कि आप मैदानी राज्यो से तुलना भी नहीं कर सकते। यह तो सिंपल ज्योग्राफिकल रीजंस की बात है।
अब बात है मेडल लाने की या शारीरिक ताक़त या बनावट की इसमें तो पहाड़ी लोग कोसो आगे है सर हनरे यहाँ आज भी लोग अपने वजन से ५-६ गुना वजन अपने कंधों पर रख पहाड़ चढ़ व उतर जाते है और स्टैमिना की तो कोई तुलना ही नहीं है । ऊपर हिमालयी राज्यो में तो वो बूटियाँ है जो अगर सही समय पर ली जायें तो सुगर, आर्थराइटिस व कैंसर जैसी बीमारियों को भी मात दे दे ।
मेडल वाली सूची में भी अब आप हमे जल्द ही देखेंगे पहाड़ी राज्य प्लेन राज्यों की तुलना में कई पीछे रह गये यहाँ विकास अब भी नहीं पहुँचा लोग मूलभूत सुविधाओं से ही वंचित है ऐसे में उन्हें एक छोटी मोटी नौकरी में ही अपना संसार दिखता है।
इसका उदाहरण वैसा ही लें जैसी अगर धोनी के परिवार वाले पहाड़ नहीं छोड़ते तो यह देश धोनी ही नहीं देख पाता।
अब धीरे धीरे जब पहाड़ों में सुविधाएँ आने लगी है तो अब स्पोर्ट्स में भी आपको काफ़ी नाम दिखने लगेंगे जैसे लक्ष्य सेन या अंकिता ध्यानी।
यूँ ही पहाड़ के इस राज्य को समर्पित भारतीय सेना की २ रेजिमेंट (कुमाऊँ व गढ़वाल) नहीं है इसके अलावा गोरखा रेजिमेंट जिस्में अक्सर इस राज्य से कई लोग सेवानिर्वित हो चुके है व कई अभी भी सेवा दे रहे है।
यहाँ बस सुविधाओं की कमी है वरना यहाँ ऐसा टैलेंट है जो स्पोर्ट्स में भारत का नाम विश्व के सबसे यशस्वी देशों में लाने की क्षमता रखते है ।
