"Be present" try not to think ahead more so react to the rythym like a reflex as it comes. Its like a studder while speaking is caused not because you can't say it but because your brain is already in the next sentence. Same thing happens to the scratch flow when you try too hard the over use if energy pushes back and causes those moments of "where was I" reset and jump back in. Bruce Lee explained it in the 70s but it was too early to make sense in the scratch DJ future . "Be like water" Also I think Qbert said a good one in the movie scratch about the zone. I'm not gonna finish that one, in case a new DJ is reading this. Your gonna have to get the movie and watch the whole thing to find the exact part and it will be worth your time I promise. Thank you so much skratch snobs, another great exercise to sharpen our skills with.

Yeah I noticed I tense up a lot over time. I get about 30 mins pratice a day. When I start I'm nice and relaxed as it go's on I get more and more tense. I will have to implement relaxing every 5 mind

MIKE MAN LOVE IT! Sounds like you really have this passion for teaching others them table skills...This is a great exercise and I see what you're saying... scratching relaxed as possible. It does feel good, kind of gives you an extra second to think and smoothly come up with that next scratch.

Thanks Himzz I really do enjoy sharing with people who are into it. Qbert is a good example of someone who is nice with both relaxed flow cuts, and in-your-face power/strength type shit. That's why he's the GOAT! - Mike C

@@SkratchSnobs No probs Mike! You are a really good DJ! I've been a hobbiest DJ for 15years now and felt like I had a strong skill set in every other area than beat juggling. About a year ago I started watching tutorials and learning the patterns and training my left hand. Now it's my favorite part of Djing and it's like a whole new world that feels like nothing else on the turntables, I just love the feeling. I have recently found your channel and it is giving me an edge and some great new ideas! So much appreciated!
