The blue didn’t upgrade the overlords, no extra vulcan to clear chaf really kill me ínide
Thanks for featuring the video! I'm glad you found it interesting and fun to watch!
I'll be honest, the flank play in that last round never occurred to me. I knew I needed something to deal with the spawning Wasps, which was why I bought the tech, but I never dreamed it would be as clutch as it ended up being. I was also so concerned with the Overlords that I never even thought to pay attention to what was happening to my chaff, but I'll definitely keep an eye on that in the future. Thanks for pointing it out!
Half a year ago when I begun to play this game, I used to do exactly this jumping overlord tactic in last round to put everything on flank. If you can get away with L then its worthy to do, but if u cant you lose. I think this move is stupid idea to do.
Well done on defending it.
Regarding crawlers: they are meant to die anyway ;) and they stayed alive longer than your opponnent chaff so they did their job.
"Extra health on the building, not sure how I feel about that one" remember that upgrading buildings also decreases the debuff time when they go down, can be useful against aggro, even against balls
Hey Cobrak, thanks for all the great game casts. Day9 got me interested. You got me hooked
Exactly same here
Great replay. I learn so much from watching your channel
The tech pick didn’t seem very preemptive tbh so much as reactive to the mothership pick the round before. blue was just making a lot of questionable decisions, they lost nearly every overlord flank they tried and won the rounds they pulled them back, then to close it out they threw them all back on a flank. seems like they lost trying to break the meta more than from elite counter play
Yeah, it was more that I realized that if I wanted to stand a chance to win against the Overlords *at all* I needed the tech. That's also why I got the 3 additional Melters in the last round. Honestly, when I saw all those Boats™ warping in on my flank I felt my stomach drop, because I seriously thought I was done for.
One thing Cobrak didn't mention is that I was going up against someone about 230 MMR higher than me, so I was definitely outclassed, and I knew it. I'm very grateful that Cobrak did the reaction, because it has allowed me to learn better why the decisions I made paid off, and where I should have made different decisions to perform better.
Mr Cob. May ask what your accent is? I like to think I'm good at guessing accents but I'm struggling to place yours.
Lots of elements of north east , mackem maybe? But seems like a mix.
Am I anywhere close?
I didn't finish before commenting, but why did blue skip senior manufacturing on round 4, and then unlock and place down and overlord?.... The thought process.... i don't get it
a like for SC2 bgm
"Atz ventz kranz kert-ze" and just try to sound as German as humanly possible
