  • Today I have the privilege of looking at a Spatan2’s LMA city in L world. I discuss GB details and look ahead strategies for growing into the midfield and aging up. If you are in earlier eras with one or more of your accounts, check this video out for some healthy tidbits on efficiency and growth planning. As you grow, consider deleting ToB's, and watch how soon you build non essential GB's such as the Cape, Inno, and Galata Tower. Leveling up your CF to increase your take on recurring quests/repeatable quests is also very important.
The closing comment cutoff a bit sooner than I expected, but subscribe if you like what you see!

Some helpful hints, even for me in The Future. Never a bad time to learn new tricks!

Nice to hear the cons of camping in both colonial & industrial. Some people like to camp there due to recurring quest feasibility in colonial & ability to get postmodern troops in industrial. A similar situation exists in both modern & postmodern eras. I originally intend on camping in colonial & industrial for a year or so because of this but will most likely shorten that to make my progression to postmodern & contemporary era a bit faster with the end goal of getting OF units there. My city is currently at the same age & has a similar score to the one showed here, but with a much lower level arc & other GBs at levels 10-11.

Thanks for adding the comment about being able to capture the PME troops in Indy. That is a niche strategy for players that want that mechanic for battle advantage. A friend of mine got the captured Hovers a while back before FE (which was cool), but he had to be careful all the time to not lose them, or spend diamonds to get them back etc. And if you click on the wrong spot before getting them back they are gone forever. I have heard that Inno support will bring them back if you ask nice, but probably not as a rule. As I pointed out, my tendency is to camp in eras that have really solid auto battle advantages since the game has changed so much in recent years )with GbG rewards being so lucrative). Having a big traz, solid attack buff focus, and a lot of rogues, can keep you battling a lot more than a few captured units (but either style is totally up to your gameplay pref).

What's nice about PE is that its the most efficient age to farm Traz & CF prints w/out spending FPs & is the last age where GBs produce current age goods which may be another reason why you may want to rush & camp there. Also, the GBs of both colonial & industrial are rather lackluster for the amount of FPs you have to spend & can be another reason you may want to skip these ages.

Thanks for checking out my city, lots of good advice. I know mistakes were made, I'm new to this game. The new city redesign will happen in a few weeks when I get the time, hoping to get another review then to see what I improve on. Thanks Bonfry for making great content, looking forward to your next video!

Glad to help, I'll ping you about doing a part 2 and also talk about some stats related to GB building selections and leveling development over eras.

If you plan on going to progressive era immediately as shown in this video, plan on pushing all your goods GBs to level 15+ since the goods buildings start to get bigger & less efficient once you go beyond colonial in addition to the 2 lane road that is required. Several folks in my guild do recommend camping in PE as FoE Advance has stated but you need level 10+ GBs to remain productive there.

So many great buildings. Cape Canaveral and TA have too high of an opportunity cost to build before Arc is at level 80, and as you said, it takes a long time to return the investment. TA is useless at L3. Best to focus on trinity to L10, Arc to L80 and Traz as needed first. Chateau is nice and good to have given that he's at L45 Arc.
SMB is a turd. I'm not a fan of Shrines of Knowledge, either, but I know that I'm alone on that.
As far as video ideas, a comprehensive n00b guide for getting started in GvG might be nice. It's confusing as hell to me.
PS, TA gives 20% at L10, not 30%. Too expensive to level w/ pre-L80 Arc.

Thanks for the detailed comment. There’s always so much to discuss. Good catch on the TA at lvl 10 comment. I’m noticing less rigidity on taking the trinity all to 80 before moving on to newer introduced GBs. Arc to 80 for sure, if not higher, but I’ll do a video with some math stuff using the Python Anywhere utility to debate it out on the Zeus, CDM and CoA all the way to 80. Numerous attack buff building variants have been introduced since the OG trinity mindset, so I think there could be more efficient ways to get to higher attack levels for less FP. It’s an epic topic to flesh out for sure.

Since you mention "moving to pro status" at one point I shall give you a real pro's insights to better help anyone who is watching this video.
    1) you're happy to see he's got an LoA, Inno, Cape, SMB, and Babel. These are all junk, as is the GT. You don't need any of these, delete them and level the CF to level 58 as a minimum.
    2) you compliment his city layout. He wants double rows of buildings on every edge with the road in front of the inner row of buildings. One line of buildings at the edge with a road running in front of them is horribly innefficient.
    3) you like the fact he's got goods buildings. Goods buildings are a complete waste of space. Just level the CF and do your RQs, you'll have more goods than you'll ever need.
    4) He wants to level the TA to 7, then the Trinity to 11, TA to 10, Zeus to 71, CoA to 67, TA to 11, CdM to 65. After this level the Trinity in rotation until Zeus to 81, CoA to 77 and CdM to 75. Then TA to 65. This is the optimal route.
Hope this helps. Don't mean to offend but I've watched some of your videos before and you seem to suffer from the misconception that if someone is in the space ages that makes them a good player while those in lower ages who camp are players who don't understand the game. The reality is there are more complete no-hopers in the later ages that have raced through far too quick than people who actually understand all aspects of the game. Players who camp are almost always far better players than those in the space ages who recommend having goods buildings or building GBs like the LoA and Inno. They're better players because they don't fill their city with trash GBs and buildings they simply don't need, so they are never forced to age up before they have the extra attack in the inventory to warrant doing so; unlike all these high age "pros" who give advice which leads to others playing the game badly too. Peace.

I think some lower eras are worth rushing through, but that others should definitely be camped in. No misconception about aging up quickly overall, it’s not a smart thing to do. If players age up too quick they just end up getting beaten up in higher eras, sniped and plundered. RQs are the best way to get the resources needed and I’m planning to so a video focusing specifically on that, along with the triggers players may hit that kill their RQs if going too far ahead on the continent map. I was complimenting the basic grid design of the city but the video wasn’t about redesign efficiency. However as you infer, this game is all about resource management maximizing, and space efficiency. I liked the fact he has goods buildings for now, but he’ll need to shed those in favor of the CF strategy. My plan is to do a part 2 to this video to discuss digging into the Trinity leveling and RQs. I don’t mind that you have strong opinions about gameplay, we are all entitled to that. The best absolutes in the game are math driven, and using various tools available each player can work towards optimization based on how they want to play the game. This isn’t intended to be an elite channel. Penguin Pat has that all fixed up very well. His spreadsheet of madness is a killer reference for elite growth, and I’ll plan to link that up in a future video along with some other tool references.

Also, not sure how much of the video you watched but I wanted him to delete the ToB and Cape. If you’re going to troll on my content at least analyze it accurately.
