Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing good! Things here are a bit sad after the devastating tornado that went through our town.This video was filmed before the events of December 9th. I will be sharing more in next week's video. Hug your loved ones and count your blessings twice today!
We had a tornado completely destroy all of our surrounding cities in Kentucky 2 Christmas's ago so I know how devastating this is. The town me and my husband grew up in was wiped away, the place we spent 6 years in and brought our first baby home to was destroyed, and people we knew for a very long time were killed. My husband helped with search and recovery for weeks. I remember feeling so heartbroken for everyone, also so fearful, yet grateful because it could have been us. It's a flood of emotions! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Love and prayers!

You're welcome. 💔 I hope you can at least find peace in watching your community rally together! It was amazing to watch how fast things got cleaned up and rebuilt here. Everyone became family regardless of where they were before, and they even made sure every child had Christmas presents. Not that presents were important but it provided a little joy in such a dark time.
Glad you and your family are ok. I am here in TN also and a tornado touched down about 1/2 mile from my home. It was so scary. Soon as it said my neighborhood on the news the power went out and we heard the wind get up. Families lost loved ones and everything they owned. This is the time we all come together to help each other out it doesn't matter if we know each other or not.

When you were talking about your trash can I was like, I remember when you bought that. So I guess I have been watching you for 6 years (or longer)! I watch your videos when I am getting ready for work but you make me want to deep clean as soon as I get home today!

Like you, I have been simplifying things. I can relate to you on feeling like the Christmas decor is clutter. I simplified my decor a lot this year but it still feels like clutter some.

Your home decor looks so good! I’ve had my stainless steel bed bath and beyond trash can for 12 years! Long time lol! I clean the inside of it often to keep it fresh!
I have had a trash can that I use in my kitchen everyday since 2016. It is a black plastic Rubbermaid can. I have kept it clean and a trash bag in it always. Just goes to show, sometimes if you take of things, they will last a good long time.

I also need to deep clean my dishwasher and my oven 🫣🫣 oh man I dislike doing those lol also we got a trash can as a wedding gift, and retired it 2 years ago..when we retired it it was around 16 years old 😂😂🫣🫣 I agree trash cans are so expensive!! I’m a little late to this video but I needed this motivation today! I recently went back to work full time after being home with my kids. I have to admit I’m so overwhelmed. Between the momma guilt of being away from the kids and being tired but trying to stay on top of things can be overwhelming😢. I love your videos. I’ve praying for everyone in Tennessee🙏🏻

Funny on the trash can! Ours is inside the cabinet on a drawer. So since 2011! Ours is so hard to clean! I like that it’s hidden though.

Before moving into our new house we just had built , we had our simple trash can for over 10 years and my husband had it before we got married or started dating 😂.. our new house has 2 trash cans built into the cabinets , I love it ! I too agree that trash cans are so expensive these days , I hope you find one you love at a reasonable price asap ❤️

I’m glad your back, we missed you. I clicked on this video because it’s my weekly ritual to watch your channel, lol. I love your channel. It’s funny that you bring the trash can up, because I’ve been looking for a new one as well. I had a black stainless steel and I got a new one. I ended up buying a plastic black trash can and I do not like it. I feel like it smells bad and I do clean my trash can out regularly, I just think cuse it’s plastic not to sure but I don’t like it. I’m looking for another stainless trash can as well. I’ve had my black plastic garbage can for 6 years. I bought it new from Walmart when we moved. It does what is intended to do, collect our trash, so I don’t think I’ll be replacing any time soon. You always mention that wall in your entryway. Could you maybe wall paper just that wall as an accent and also put the paper over your return vent, cutting slits to allow for air flow? That way the vent isn’t as noticeable. I love that you put the table back. Very pretty how you styled it💕

I have a round stainless steel smaller medium size trash can that I have had since my husband pass and it's still going strong for almost fifteen years

Hey Jessi!!! OK, are you ready for this! I have had my kitchen trash can for 36 years!!! I kid you not!!! It's a cream colored Rubbermaid one with those swing lids. I got it in 1987 when we moved into our brand new home that we built and the popular colors at the time were country blue, almond and barn red. I used to laugh at my husband because we would sit the trash can in a chair at the table sometimes because we had 5 dogs, a momma and her puppies, and they would try and get in the garbage. So my husband called the trash can, "Uncle Garbage Can". Crazy times, I know!! Well, I have a very nice stainless steel garbage can but I still use Uncle Garbage Can!!! It is my favorite 😅😂❤

I always use dish soap on grease stains on my clothes. ( In the Netherlands we have dreft but I think every dish soap will be fine)

I've had my trash can for over 12yrs & it it still in great shape. I just got a basic step to open stainless steel kind from Walmart. Nothing fancy it cost me roughly $50
It’s crazy and amazing how long trash cans last. Maybe that’s why they are so expensive. For something we use every single day and for nasty garbage they sure do hold up!
I have found the Carbona stain scrub stick and oven cleaner in Dollar Tree which is a bonus!

Its awful to admit, but we've had a cheap plastic trashcan in our kitchen for 23 years. It's broken in places, but fits well under our sink and works just fine. I clean it from time to time. No plans to get a new one at this time. I like the new rug. I always enjoy your videos. Take care.

Have you seen that there are decorative air filter vent covers? so that would feel as if you had to hide them ! They are really cool but I love the bench and a reason/excuse to have another pretty decorative area , I love that mirror 😍

I just recently got rid of my old trash can that I had at least 15 years. Maybe longer than that. It is not one of those things that I really think about switching out. I give it a good deep clean every now and then and it was always good to go. The only reason I got rid of it is because we did a small kitchen reno and I added some more cabinets and decided to get one with pull out trash cans. Have a great day!

I’m so glad you and your family are safe. We only lost electricity for a couple of hours. It really hit our community hard but we will all pull together and help each other. It definitely makes you realize what is important in your life. So many people’s homes are destroyed but the saddest is the loss of lives. I’m new to IG and I’m still learning to use it so I did message you to see if you were safe. I love your new decor! Looks really good. BTW- Walmart has the best prices on the trash cans that I have seen. I’ve had mine about 6 or 7 years. You are right they are all expensive but I did see them at Walmart and they were nice. I can’t believe Kinsley is 9 years old! Times flies! I remember when she started her little pre-school. Hope you have a good week! God Bless!

I usually would take it down the day after Christmas lol but recently because I film for RUclips it takes a little longer but always by Jan 1!

I have had my trashcan for years...they tend to last a long time for my family...I keep them until they break which is never usually...
I’ve def had one or two break over the last 20 years but this one has held up pretty good!

I'm gonna give you a quick hack on oil stains or grease
Take some aerosol hairspray, spray it on the oil stain. Let it set for 30 minutes Then wash I have always had success with that.

My trash can is underneath the sink it's a rubber maid and I've had it for probably 30 years I have a small galley kitchen with no room for a trash can out on the floor

I've been praying for the people that were in the tornado down there I hope they're getting all the help they need. I seen in your video in your bedroom you turned on little white round was that a humidifier if it was can you tell me the name of it. My mom had her trash can for about 28 years 😂😂😂 I busted out laughing! It definitely served its purpose. She now has a new one going on year 5 for it. So we’ll see how long it lasts. I deep clean mine often, I feel if you take care of things it does last longer (usually). 😊 I may see if I can beat her 28 years 😂

Never had a trash can longer than 4 years haha. They just get so gross in the crevices! Where is your tee from?? It's so cute! Your cleaning videos are always so satisfying!
That’s my problem is the crevices. I take mine out and hose it down every spring/summer but it’s starting to peel in areas and I’m just sick of looking at it haha
Oh and my tee is from a local place she was selling them at the hair salon lol!

Oh my goodness, I have had my trash can for 14 years! It used to be stainless and got so tired of cleaning that, it gets so dirty so don’t buy a stainless steel trashcan. My son spray painted it black for me 😮
