    I've got to stop watching you. Lol. I don't have enough years in a lifetime to knit all the gorgeous things you show on your videos that I love. Now I have to knit that gorgeous lace cardigan you showed at the beginning, the Poinsettia fingerless gloves, Raglano, Four (only lengthened to a dress, and I can't remember what all else.

      I know, right?! I have such a hard time deciding what to make next! Four lengthened to a dress would be beautiful. I LOVE the gloves - I think the best part about that one is that it's knit in garter, flat and shouldn't take too long.. but boy do they turn out beautifully 😍

    Those hats with retro games and the fingerless mitts are tempting me to do colorwork, however, that raglano sweater is now in my queue. Thank you.

    So many great patterns again this week. I am trying not to fall down any rabbit holes.

    It always amazes me how I can't count! I mean, how hard can it be to count to 4 over and over again? 😂
    I had to stop this video twice to go look up things on Ravelry. The Four sweater and the colourwork hat!! Both new designers for me but love them!! Thanks.

    Regarding that light cyan blue in your colourwork, I used to work for a company who had a similar colour for the logo. There were definitely accessibility issues with that colour on white and whenever we had to publish it for online (accessibility is protected by law here in Canada online), we always had to adjust it. So it’s not just you. It’s a known visual issue.

      Thank you for letting me know. I am definitely going to go with the red and black. If the blue were darker, I'd like it more. Maybe I'll end up doing a color work jumper with black as the background so I'll be able to use the cyan there 🙂

    The sparkle in your sweater is showing up so good, it's mesmerizing! I'm having a hard time keeping up with vlogmas, too. I've had to drop some in order to keep up with the ones I prioritize, which makes me feel guilty. The shoulder warmer I think I've seen as shrugs.

      I know how it goes, I do feel bad too. I wish I could clone myself a couple of times..😂 We can only do what we can do though, so I just try to catch up when I can 🙂. I think you are right, I've heard them called shrugs as well.

    ❤i love your xmas kids jumpers! Those delicious mousewitch color fades! You could use the blue as a center line in the red flowers for a tiny blip of extra color in the testing! ❤

    • @mandyvaughnknits
      @mandyvaughnknits  3 дня назад +1

      Thank you! 🙂 I do wonder if I can incorporate the blue in just the tiny dot in the center of the flowers. But part of me has also wanted a white, black and red sweater so I am going to need to think about it ❤️. I so wish the white and cyan came out how it did in my head 😂

    My vote for your test knit is the red. Agree, there’s not enough contrast with the blue.

    • @mandyvaughnknits
      @mandyvaughnknits  3 дня назад

      Yeah 🙂 If I ever get a dark blue, I’ll definitely do that combo but for now it’s the red.

    Oh my, you do know how to give a woman the wanties ! I will need so much time still, to knit all the inspiration you showed... 😁 I can totally see why you fell for the Poinsetta gloves and am curious to see what your version will look like. Though I've been eying the Hitofude many times, I never actually knitted it, so maybe now I shóuld go for the Dissipation :) That cabled sweater looks gorgeous indeed, but I don't know if I would actually enjoy an aran weight sweater. It would be lovely when you go outside on winter days, but once you'd get back in then...🤔 The Raglano will definetely go into my que. If I saw it right, it has an interesting raglan increase, not completetly straight, and of course it gives endless possibilities !
    Your daughter will look like a happy unicorn in that sweater, it really looks awesome !
    What study are you going to take ? You shortly mentioned it, but not living in the US, it didn't ring a bell..

    You could make the Ms Fizziwig Shawl shorter & seam it together to make it a "shoulder warmer"

    • @mandyvaughnknits
      @mandyvaughnknits  3 дня назад +1

      This is an excellent idea, I really love the stitch pattern. I think it would be a beautiful shoulder warmer 🙂

    I've never used wool with sparkles before, does it change how it works up? Is it more difficult to work with?

    • @mandyvaughnknits
      @mandyvaughnknits  3 дня назад

      It depends on the yarn, honestly. Sometimes there’s a metallic strand for the sparkle and it may be scratchy. Sometimes you can’t even tell. If I can’t feel a yarn in person, I will try to check out reviews or comments on it. The sparkle hasn’t really changed how it works up for me and I don’t find it more difficult to work with though. The area it would mainly affect would be the feel of the yarn 🙂
