Alright buddy Ive been watchingbyour vids for a year now and A) you have a great swing B) youre very helpful C) you seem like you would be a great instructor....too bad Im in California.......I started playing golf 2 1/2 yrs ago roughly and pkayed at about a 40 handicap....ha ha.....at about a year ago by simply watching how smooth and seemingly slow you swing the club helped me realize I dont have to kill the ball to get great distance. That small revelation helped me get doen to a 21 handicap.
hello there, I just purchased the ap2s after previously using the mizuno mp32s (i have moved to Norway and with a 6 month season i feel a bit of forgiveness isn't damaging my ego) and i have to say they feel great. they do launch very high and play very long, but after a custom fitting you can soon iron out the creases. I haven't played the taylormades but i will say that the ap2s certainly give you a nice feeling iron and a fair amount of workabilty.
I have the mc's in 6-pw and the cb's 4-5 iron, and I luv them, great feel and predictabilty. I won't be changing until my grooves wear out, good vid and a very nice swing.
Iv tested both. I like both as well. For me, it was just a matter of feel and look at address. I prefer the Taylor Made over the Ap2 if i had to chose between these 2. Looks better to my eye. I play the Taylor Made MB's and have a CB for a 4 iron. Taylor Made did awesome with this line in my opinion. Ap2's and Titleist MB's just feel too bulky for my taste.
I've owned both these clubs and I must say they are a lot alike except for the feel. The taylormade MC's don't have the harsh feel on miss hits that the ap2's do. Waiting to see what's coming out new for the ap2's this year!
what is the smash factor for the MC, i hit both the burner 2 and Mc today. i was suprised at the distance i was getting. i thk theyre really jacked up i hit 170 m w the Mc and Burner 6iron
I actually played the 712 Ap2 for about a half year until I got the TM MC forged. I personally feel the Titleist were more forgiving. I like the looks and address of the TM more. The Mc seems to have less loft also my 9 iron 150yards Titleist became my 8 iron Tm. Maybe I just haven’t gotten ahold of the club yet. Only have been playing then for about a month. If I could switch back I wouldn’t
These 2 are currently the irons I desire, but just can not decide. I'm a fan taylormade, but I am liking the AP2 710s.. Both are the same price, but unable to actually hit them. Handicap is 13-15 (haven't played in a while), looking to get into singles. Any advice about these 2?
Great video even a decade later ! I've just got the Taylormade MC forged irons and I'm over the moon with them, feel great to play with. however I realised the carbon cavity is missing on the 7 iron (doesn't seem to make much of a difference) but I have managed to find a really cheap 6 iron on eBay. do you think it would be okay to put the cavity off the 6 onto the 7 ? and what tool would I need ? security torx ?.
hey i was just wandering, does your set say -2* or something on the neck of the club? because when i tried the demo club at my local range it had that and i noticed that the club face would sit facing a bit more towards you when it is neutral on the ground.
great review mark i play the ap2 and they are better then the mc in my opinion i feel like you get better feedback when you misshit them i can feel them make a click sound so ap2 wins
@swirlsmajano if you're a 20 handicapper i think the ap1's or something more forgiving, would help :) but if u want one of these, i'll say the ap2's :)
I like both makes and as long as the ball goes in the hole before it reaches a bogey who can complain :) ps could u guys check out my swing on my channel, cheers keep it up mark

as a avid viewer of your videos, i love the old and new but i have to admit that the hi-speed camera makes the videos 10x better!

Still rocking my MCs. TM hit a home run with that set.

I just picked up a set of MC/MB Taylormade Forged. Love the 3 iron in the MC
I love the timing at 1:14
Sounds like you just hit a ball.

Just bought the TaylorMade! Greatest clubs ever! I get an extra 20 yards, but I can hit just as accurately as my pure blades! Just crazy!

I use the MC irons, I am a low teen handicapper. They maybe above my game but there is no comparison when hitting the correct strike on the face.
Mark, not to go old school or anything, but could u do a video on the taylormade burner plus irons, thank you.
I like the lower launch from the taylor made. I play with some wind and I have a higher ball flight.
Hey Mark, could you do a comparison between the Mizuno MP53 and the MP58.
Thanks.

@1987jughead just wondering shouldnt u get sort of taylormade MB instead of MC, or get some more sort of blade-like irons...

At an 11 handicap should I look at buying ether of these irons or something different?
Taylormade irons feel so pure!
Would it be posible to come down to the driving range to try out the mc and other irons as im starting to not trusy american golf!
It's a fitting club. Allows the pro or fitter to change shafts out on the head to let the customer swing the head with different shafts.
whats on the end of the shaft of the Titleist toward the club head?
hey mark, i am handicap 12 and wanted to buy the taylormade mc, do you think this purchase would be suitable for my level?
thanx
great review mark i play the ap2 and they are better then the mc in my opinion i feel like you get better feedback when you misshit them i can feel them make a click sound so ap2 wins
What set of irons do you use today in your bag
could you compare smash factor on mc, ap2, mp53, ping anser forged
@swirlsmajano if you're a 20 handicapper i think the ap1's or something more forgiving, would help :) but if u want one of these, i'll say the ap2's :)
Thank You friend and keep up the outstanding reviews.....and maybe if you dont mind do a little swing instruction via youtube. Be well.
use the mc forged...first set of REAL company irons and there great! breaking 75 now, with some work
i love my mc irons
I like both makes and as long as the ball goes in the hole before it reaches a bogey who can complain :) ps could u guys check out my swing on my channel, cheers keep it up mark
