  • This is a full tour of our zone 9b/10a garden on the Central Coast in California. We are located right in the middle of Los Angeles and San Francisco. My hope is to inspire you to grow your own food. It is so empowering and such a fun learning experience. It's also wonderful for the kids to grow up knowing where their food comes from. I am so grateful to have our space to grow food! Even if you don't have much space, container gardening is a really great start and growing herbs is really fun & rewarding! You can also grow many others such as tomatoes, potatoes and beans in containers.

Lovely garden. We are in the same same 9b cali zone and have a front yard garden as well. Growing food has been a great passion of ours but having our 3 yr old being proud of showing the garden to visitors and showing a great and beautiful knowledge of plants is without a doubt the greatest reward our garden has given us. Thank you for providing that for your child

Thought I had mosaic virus. Took it to Evergreen nursery in Clovis. Answer “we don’t have pretty plants in Fresno like other zones. We live in Hell. As long as they make veggies, leave them alone!!

Such a well flourished Veggie garden ! I loved seeing your garden and am totally inspired to make my own. I have a decent size backyard with ample of sun in Zone 9b that i am planning to convert to vegatable garden. Please share any valuable tips for a relatively new gardener. I would especially love to know more about your arched fence setup for vines and self watering sprinkler system. Thanks much !

natural solution for bugs: neem oil in water sprayed on plants, it’s edible, it’s rev commended to wash ur veggies before eating anyway

also you should be careful with that blackberry be sure to really keep on the pruning, they can take over entire areas and are a pain to remove because of the spines, they took over our side yard

    • @VeganKatieFaye

I would actually love it if the blackberries took over! We love them 😍

You will need to plant at least one more blueberry, preferably two more plants and they need to be different varieties.

A birdbath. What they're really looking for is water, so they eat the fruit and vegetables.
