@@tbone6924 I was using 2-4on snap weights. I let out about 50 feet of line and then clip on a snap weight. Then I let out more line based on a chart developed by @spiltmilt. Example if I let out 120ft of line total with 2oz I should be at about 32ft. Seems to work pretty well, but would love a downrigger but my kayak plastic is pretty thin so I double it could support it.
@@IdahoOutdoorDad AH gotcha....I did not see the snap weights. I am a huge fan of spiltmilk and have that chart myself. I am heading to Anderson this weekend so will be going DEEP myself.
@@tbone6924 haha yeah I cut out all the reeling lol. Too loud and boring lol. yeah I want to hit Anderson next. Not sure if I’ll get out this weekend but gonna try lol. Don’t know much bout Anderson so it will be a learning experience.
No downrigger and it appeared you were using very little weight....how were you getting so deep?
