[Bomber Crew] How to perform a belly landing

Thank you. I attempted this. Almost screwed up but my bomber made it back and everyone was alive (I can approve that It can work with Lancaster as well. I moved my tail turret gunner up to the front however).

bro that was a crisp landing 👏. I've lost three bombers to this exact thing I think like 20 crew (USAF) I have the game paused rn with only one wheel hope it works just as well

im telling you, Usaf bombers have the literal weakest landing gear in existence. Half the high risk missions you have to land with one landing gear

I learned this before I saw the video but I gotta say never try to land the B-17 with one wheel because for me the ball turret got in the way and it made cart wheel killing all the crew

Damn. Recent video and it seems to work. Exactly what I was looking for. Well not really recent but it's less than 1 year old which is good. I hope this works for the Avro Lancaster too I'm tired of losing so many crew members. I lost a pilot. Then the rest of the crew and the plane. After that I think I lost just a plane. (Most of these were because landing gear failure). Then, the reason why I started looking for landing with one gear tips, I lost a gunner and the plane. Thank God it was just that. It should also works on the Lancaster as well, I've done belly landings and even water ditches on both of the planes. Results may vary on the Lancaster due to its oversized engines though

I have also lost most of my crew to a belly landing where I forgot to deplete all surplus bombs did not end well

You can also put the landing gear down to get past the check, then pull it back up, i do this so the pilot keeps in line with the runway, i doubt it actually helps but eh

So what you're telling me is that I don't have to empty the fuel tank on the side with the broken gear? (which sometimes still kills everyone in an explosion anyway)

i trained my gunner to be a medic , he's level 1 so i need him to carry a medkit to heal but when he holds it , he can't heal either

idk how it works whit the lancaster
but ive have landed it whit only one wheel, and i just lose one wing, idk, maybe its different on the b17

I can confirm that this same method also works for Lancasters, though you will suffer more damage as the engine blocks are huge

@@Ribs351 but when im gonna land whitout one landing gear (i dint even use the emergency landing lol), i use lean and move all of my fuel to the side that still has a landing gear

if you press the bail out button will the crew automatically grab parachutes?

Yes they will try. The pilot will still have to stay behind though.
If you bail out, there's a high chance that some of your crew will be MIA.
If your plane is out of fuel. It WILL drop like a rock, the crew will be pushed around by G-forces, unable to move.

Don't land on the runway, land in the softer sand, better chances of the plane not breaking apart.

wait i dont get it. I tried landing with one gear and my plane broke in 2, bomber was lost and 1 crew died (even if in runway). So the next time i belly landed on the airfield but everyone died

Don't use that 1 gear
Belly landing requires the planes not to lower whatever gears they have left
