    what do you think of them i saw a kuhn baler at the place i bought this 8120 it was hooked to it they say its the bomb but i cant seem to get them to come down and demonstrate it. the thing i dont like about it is it only has one knot and i had that on my old old baler it was the weak point in the system.they say its not but they also recomend 500 lb. twine so that could be the reason its not i am sure if they demonstrate it i might buy it when i need a new one.

    on the roller things where the paint is worn you were saying about putting something on their to reduce wear and friction i think?
    there is a special coating i cant remeber what its called but i know its used in gearboxes on racing bikes to reduce friction and also increases the strength of the gears to allow a smooth operational gearbox. maybe that would work on the yellow painted parts you were talking about at the end Might be feeders ? im not sure the of the name

    never heard of plastic bands for the header. I dont have a big square baler, but I do alot of small square baling with my cousins so I might have to keep these in mind.

    You'll have to show them to use after a few dozen hours of use, I think that'd be some proof to us.
    Great video.

    Great video. Those new bands look good things. I have a JD 578 round baler with 36,000 bales (2011 baler) on it and I have never changed a band on them. Still perfect

    dont no much about the kuhn big baler they are not that common in england mostly Massey,newholland and class .Kuhn kit is pretty good stuff they make the mower conditioner beds for john deere disc mowers pull type in europe and i have a 9ft mounted mower conditioner that is made completely by kuhn but painted green and yellow sold as john deere or sold as kuhn , i would say its got to be worth a try it looked well built on a tandem axle im not sure about the knotters .

    "Et tu Brute" which means "You too Brutus." How are the poly bands working? Looks like to me you will have less wear on your pick up tines since you will no longer have the metal band bending and rubbing against them.

    JD 100 was a Kuhn that Deere bought the rights to they work good in straw on huge windrows, normal windrows your ground speed has to be roadgear maybe they thought we baled air strips. my neighbor had a guy come in with a1950 oliver and a old hesston 4x8, that poor thing about stalled when the plunger went back didn't know who to feel more sorry for the tractor or the jackass running it . Baled 4 or 5 bales and the crank splines stripped it sat there for years I think they scrapped it.

  • @onelonleyfarmer

    .......google translate doesnt ALWAYS get it right you know. and im pretty sure its En Tu Brute. from the the story "No Fear Ceaser" or something like that by shakesphere.

  • @MrFutureFarmer
    @MrFutureFarmer 12 лет назад

    @jeremylee99100 Yeah, sure it can pull it but there is a reason almost no one chooses for a tractor that size to pull a baler that size. Unless your 1466 has the rare MFWD option then prepare for some hazardous situations. My family owns a couple of Hesston 4960's and those bastards can weigh 12000 pounds loaded with hay and twine. Its all about weight. Unless you have no grade, then a 1466 would not be a good option with this size baler.
