(Now I've written one that's TOO LOW for me!) I didn't mean to write this song. I was working on a complicated intricate one last night and this just *waltzed* in and made itself known. Anyway "a yellow-starting word" here refers to the W question words: where, who, what, when, why, whence, etc. Because of course W is yellow. And it's true, melodies that fly are what I seek in music, whether listening or creating. ---------------------- I got the candles for the balcony But you don't care I've got those candles glowing beautifully And they sit there Oh, all of the questions that end in question marks If I would ask a yellow-starting word, where to start? Some of us just want a melody that flies Just searching for that gliding soaring high And sap green is the colour of the letter T That's why it has such an effect on Tuesday Once I saw a Tuesday-coloured motorbike (And I wasn't the only one who thought so) But that's a story for another time Mirror, mirror, hanging on the balcony Honorary plaque I watch my eyes and they carefully Watch me back Oh, all of the things that we could do without You know how I feel uncomfortable about certain vowels (But only when they're at the beginning) And some of us just want a melody that flies Just searching for that gliding soaring high Yeah, some of us just want a melody that flies Mmmmm But that's a story for another time :) ----
Yes Dove. It is pinned. You are very creative. Your lyrics profoundly deep. But I'm almost too embarrassed to ask, what is a "yellow starting word"? Why is W yellow? Why is T sap green? Jus' curious.
Thank you so much! it’s just to me, W is yellow and T is green. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia yellow-starting word is just my way of saying a word that begins with a yellow letter (yellow to me) :)
Another absolutely wonderful song as always! I have an idea for a new video - a new Irish lessons video with some things about summer, but also maybe sneak in 1 or 2 sentences about things happening around the world that legacy media refuses to talk about, and since it's an Irish lessons video you can say "oh, it's just teaching vocabulary lessons".
Oh nice, and who could not care about firestarting candles and questions that mark the beginning of a melody taking off to soar, after waltzing in and seeing beauty in the mirror and understanding that W is yellow, except for when it's red?

Hey you!
Thank you so much!
Great idea, but it takes so long to put the text in the video for the Irish lessons, I just don't have the time for it! :)
Thanks for the song

Christian! RED!
How dare you.
I think you must be confusing W with A, M, 6, and Friday, but that perfectly okay. It happens to the best of us.
Love the painting :D
Thanks Rex! :)

Can you make a song about growing garlic? Or feeding fish?
I already did a Fish Song.
