There are 2 type of "horror" games. The 1st are the games that rely on cheesy jump scares. And then there is this, a game that focuses on the atmosphere and ambiance which I find more scary :3
There is a third type that is more of a situational horror. That's what Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs was. It wasn't particularly scary or creepy, but upon reflection, what was happening was pretty horrific.

Its amazing how the developers chose their subject matter, dealt with suspense, and designed the level like this. Its all designed to be as unsettling and scary as possible and it works.

I mange to over my fear. To be honest, my friends forced me to watch this other people play it ages ago. Only seen little parts because I got scared. Unfortunately those little bits I saw was when the person jumped in your face part, that made me scream and didn't see the game UNTIL I saw this.... So I did have an idea what it was going to be like before seeing this.
I remember this game. every time i got scared I would press the home button to listen to playstation menu music to relax then go back to the game,get freaked out within a minute and repeat process till I solved the puzzle.
Owww, they missed an action with the voice on the radio saying something like : "Don't look behind". When I played that teaser, that moment scared the sh*t out of me.
I was more sad than scared in this though, when that baby was in that sink, oh my gosh...... She/He didn't get to live their life. I know it's just a video game but, I still that's depressing to think about.
I still think you should let them react to The Stanley Parable, especially since it's like a non-scary version of this, but still funks with their minds. maybe they can talk about it afterwards and see what they all come up with.

This game is really scary, because it forces you to experience it. You have to look at stuff to progress, you have to analyze the environment. It's smart. I've never played any Silent Hill games, but this one I'm seriously liking. Is the cancellation of it for real or just a ploy? 'cause this is too good to be scrapped.

This is why Kojima is great. He already knew how to make The Sorrow disturbing. Combining with Del Toro, this is going to be the best SH since 3.
It's probably called Silent Hills because it might have multiple worlds of the same town. Like how there was Fog World, Otherworld, and regular.

This game is really scary, because it forces you to experience it. You have to look at stuff to progress, you have to analyze the environment. It's smart. I've never played any Silent Hill games, but this one I'm seriously liking. Is the cancellation of it for real or just a ploy? 'cause this is too good to be scrapped.
