  • This session will discuss best practices for preparing your data for use with Network Analyst. This includes modeling network datasets that contain one-way streets, hierarchies, turns, signposts, and historical and live traffic. Considerations for building network datasets using travel modes will also be discussed.

I have a question, can the program Arc Gis analyze the road network and exactly determine the shortest path from point 1 to 2, and from 1 to 3 and from 1 to 4 that is, making several paths from one location to several points, and how is this done if I have one center and 12 thousand Point

Does NA provide turn by turn Driving Reports, that I can export to PDF? I route newspapers to hundreds of homes. I use ArcMap with RouteSmart but I am migrating to ArcPRO and RS does not work with Pro. I am deciding between StreetMap Prem, and or Network Analyst.

Actually, OSM is your best bet if you are wanting to create a pedestrian network (heaven forbid we think of anything but the car in North America!). ESRI's network is absolutely useless for cycling and pedestrian-based analysis. CAR, CAR, CAR! Take this to heart ESRI, think more broadly and support other BETTER forms of transportation.
