I was just thinking about this! I fell victim to these videos in the pandemic when i was blind buying like crazy! Now i have so many bombastic, "sexy" fragrances when that's not even my style. I was not even looking for a boyfriend (we were in lockdown!) But i fell for the videos lmaooooooo
That’s okay. It was a learning experience. Now, I like trying new scents. I really try my hardest to blind but smart. I go to my influencers pages and see if the fragrances in question were discussed. But COVID had me making purchases online like a crazy. If Ai had I got. I can wholeheartedly say my collection has been greatly influenced by this woman here. This was my coping tool. I went through a lot at theater time and this was my escape.
For me, fragrance is not about pulling the attention I'm seeking. It's more about aligning MY inner vibe so I'm projection my Aura outward. If I want to FEEL sexy, I pick a fragrance that amplifies that vibe for me (Nefs). If I'm FEELING luxurious, and want to convey a old money vibe, I reach for L'Heure Verte and my energy is set for the night. So when I walk up in the institution I'm giving what I intended to give.
Exactly, the fragrance has to match your essence, vibe, style. It has to make your eyes sparkle and fit you, to even affect other people and make their eyes sparkle too 😂
I adore smelling my wrists all day. I like intimate fragrances. I have gourmands that’s are beasts and a little dab will do ya. Put too much on and I can’t stand myself. Soap and lotion smells good to most men I’ve dated.

Yeah! I watch all your videos and you let us know what’s top elf’s approves. Now, I know Ambrosia Imperial has sincerely gotten me more conversations with men from different walks of life. Some have even told the waitress/waiter they had my meal. I am so serious but it never went beyond that.
This is such an interesting topic to me because people forget how closely scent is tied to memory, every friend who walks into my house smells my collection and almost everyone has a different #1 based on their personality, where they grew up, age, taste. There’s also the fact that if you wear a super loud beast mode commanding fragrance and that’s not your personality, it can be pretty off putting (in my opinion). I agree that freshies are the safest cuz most of us associate laundry smells with cleanliness. Vanillas are nice because most people like vanilla. BR540, Piano Santal and Loubirouge have gotten the strongest reactions from men in my experience but they’re all divisive and chemistry dependent smells so it’s really a toss-up. I agree and love this dialogue. Ai you may be able to pull some let’s talk about this from these comments. I was ignorant regarding fragrances until RUclips. I was a designer wearing sister. My SA from different cities would often call and send samples for me to try. I live in MS. I appreciate individuals seeking out new scents and learning. I was a beginner, too. Now, I am an a fragrance crackhead, LOL.
@@FragranceEuphoria I would read the notes and think about what you have in your collection with similar note profile. If you don’t have any thing, it may be best to research where you may find a sample. I think about note profiles a lot; especially, if it’s patchouli heavy.

I have NEVER understood why some women actually BELIEVE the hype🤦♀️ My guy HATES sweet/fruity scents. In fact he doesn’t like MOST scents😂 But he LOVES a Clean Fresh Scent and very Soft Feminine! So I LOVE Tom Fords Lost Cherry but he hates it! I like Banana republics W, he LOVES IT! The worst part is people are falling for it, not thinking with logic. Fragrance is an accessory like anything else, it doesn’t have magical powers. That’s up to your personality. First time viewing one of your videos and I'm glad you put it out there. I can't believe people would even think something like that. Most people aren't into fragrances as much as us who watch fragrance videos so all they are going to know is either you smell good or you don't.
Girl this is why I don’t watch many fragrance reviewers anymore, not just because of this reason, but their constantly pushing fragrances that was either given to them for free, or their getting a paid commission for. I hardly see them showing any they don’t get commissioned for below their video, or it was sent to them for free. You do that, but you also show fragrances that you bought with your own money and own recommendations. It drives me crazy. Stop pushing 500$ fragrances you just got for free an got these women out here goin bankrupt just to try to stay with the trends, and these times are hard we can’t afford it like that, at least I can’t. I totally understand what you're saying. Times are very hard. However, I don't know of any reviewer who's forcing anyone to buy a fragrance. Wether it was sent to them or not. If you walk into Neiman Marcus, the sales associate is getting commission from selling you something...it's the same thing when you're watching certain Reviewers (such as myself) it's a business. People need to get paid for their research, efforts, hair, makeup, the production to put up quality videos for you guys to watch

I wonder if when bottles are given to influencers perhaps it should be disclosed so the viewer has as much data as possible? There’s one men’s reviewer Ashton, from Gents Scents, who won’t work with fragrance companies anymore and only works with retailers because he wants to be able to say what he wants. He’s a sort of in the middle - Not as big as Jeremy but a really healthy following and he’s giving up lots of $$$ by doing this. He doesn’t get sent bottles by many of the companies now. Doesn’t get invited to parties so that takes a bit of integrity. That’s not to crap on anyone else’s hustle, it’s just that transparency is appreciated.

I think every one who watches me can attest that I disclose when I'm sent a fragrance. I get them sent to me by a retailer as well ( so avant garde) the only brand sending me fragrances is kayali. So there's that. Also for me it isn't a secret. With growth, comes opportunities. So a brand, retailer (whatever because at the end of the day you have NO idea about the deal that the gentleman has going with sed dept stores.
I think YES, absolutely, there's one fragrance accord that snags a man...Vanilla and soft musk. Tried and true. Most of the relationships I've had started with me wearing a vanilla centric fragrance. They went wild! It's like catnip for them😂
I think men like women appreciate different scent profiles. I was in love with this one guy and he was still wearing cool water I think. I gave him Bond9 Wall Street and he told me all the women wanted to know what he was wearing. I was like damn, I shouldn’t have gifted him that. I asked a thousand questions. I was jealous. I introduced him to something new like Ai does in her videos. I think if a man has not been exposed to fragrances much, he may like how you smell but doesn’t know how to translate the experience.
Thanks for sharing. We have to keep in mind that many of those fragrance reviewers are sponsored. Even if they weren’t, we all have different tastes. Thus, no one should buy a fragrance before sampling it specially with the high cost of these fragrances. As a guy, I might stop a lady and ask her what fragrance she’s wearing if I like it, but if she’s not my type, she won’t attract me just because she smells good!! The fragrance that I thought was great and was liked by almost all reviewers on RUclips was Sahraa from FDB. I absolutely love it! Yet when I took a sample of it to work and let my colleagues smell it, the majority disliked it and it was a shock to me! That tells you how people have different tastes and it doesn’t mean everyone’s gonna like your cologne cause you like it. Thanks again for sharing!
Well said, AI! It's ridiculous :-D My husband loves light tea scents and then unisex woody scents on me. All of the sudden, he compliments me on CH Good Girl and other completely random perfumes :-) My advice always is: just try not to repell the man with your perfume. Wear something light. Have fresh breath and clean, nice smeling hair, use deodorant :-) Also, I have to say, many men hate cigarettes. If you don't smoke, the smell of it is very strong and repulsive. There are many people that could never be with a smoker, just because of the smell.

Out of all of my fragrances, I have received the most compliments from men wearing Si Fiori! It has a little fruitiness, a little sweetnees and vanilla, a little powdery and musky, but overall very feminine, soft, appealing, and beautiful! Its my absolute favorite everyday Signature scent and its my most complimented! Men want a woman to smell feminine, beautiful, clean, elegant, etc. And Si Fiori checks all those boxes!
What???? I only listen to a few. I love fragrances and I purchase them because I love them. I have a SA at Saks, Bergdorf and Neiman in Chicago, New York, Arizona and Houston that I request samples. I do blind but a lot but that’s when I have your review, Ayesha, Denise, Jus de rose, Keiko Beauty and the Santa Maria. The aforementioned have never lead me wrong. My ears are burning to hear what they been lying about.

The videos that are titled “panty droppers”, “make him fall in love” , etc do not bother me whatsoever. The influencers may have one or multiple reasons for doing it. It could be their honest experience, it could be click bait for views or just so we can purchase using their code or link. I watch those videos and cross reference with influencers like simplyshaughnessy that I actually trust. Shaughnessy and I have similar tastes. I get my nose on the fragrance in store if possible or order a sample and go from there. If I like it, I buy it. I have to like the fragrance because I’m the one that’s wearing it. These videos are literally for entertainment purposes people. It’s really not that big of a deal.
It's not a big deal. However you need to realize every woman is not like you! There are some women/men who actually believe that. If you watched the video in its entirety...you would have heard an example I gave which was the inspiration of this video.

I always sample first if possible. A lot of hyped scents I’ve found out through experience are just ok. Great hygiene is what a guy wants a clean and pleasant smelling woman. I buy fragrances to smell good for myself. I agree what I see in some of these videos is crazy. I am new to luxury and wore Baccarat to work, 3 compliments in one day snd soon after stopped wearing it to work. I don't want that type of attention at work where the fragrance is making men lose their mind. All I know is for me, the men I like seem most interested when I am stepping out and hoping no one sees me. Men will chat me up at those times when I have on nothing or bath and body works. I do not have a lot of fragrances but know that Baccarat on me smells so sweet and lovely and probably makes men think I am the sweetest and kindest person. But I don't always want them to think that lol. I do still have a sentimental tie to the fragrance because it was my first and a woman at Neman's recommended that which I will forever be thankful for, because I had no idea about the brand. I would love to see a fresh frangrace video or is there already one? I am one of those people that use to buy that powder scent and wear it years ago and buy those fresh soap scents.
Not to forget a lot of those women who do the whole "panty dropper" videos usually are very pretty women...they get compliments regardless..if you don't stand out in that way, you don't take care of yourself or you live in a country where people just don't compliment strangers randomly you will most likely not get compliments for a perfume no matter how good it smells.
Which RUclipsrs do those kind of videos? I really haven’t seen any that are trying to sell you on buying some expensive fragrance and saying it is a panty dropper fill me in. I watch a lot of videos on perfumes and haven’t noticed that at all.

Really great video! There are so many things that goes into attraction. Plus every fragrance smells different depending on your body chemistry. Depending on the occasion I switch up my fragrances and even how much I spray.

You are point on. There is no one fragrance that will pull a man. It’s a package deal. I would say be careful how you move. You may got a man that’s a monster. You could pull a man that’s expecting you to carry him. My advice is “ wear what you like confidently” and that energy may get his attention. Not sure if it’s true but It’s very sinful to try to “charm” someone by a mere scent. What about the help from God? Fragrances are to be enjoyed not try to trick someone. I totally agree
Pick something safe but something that is also unequivocally you. If you always wear boozy warm scents and you love that, couldn't live without it, don't pretend to be someone you are not. You might 'catch' someone but if they don't love what you love, is it worth it? Are you going to drop the fragrances you love? Only you can decide how essential to your character your fragrance is (maybe it's just fun, nothing wrong with that) and choose the safest option that really embodies you.

Also people should be themselves. That’s why we fall for people personality. Chemistry. Smelling good, makeup, clothes, hair. They are nice and I love to smell good. But at the end of the day. It’s personality and connection. And yes I agree, I have 3 brothers and they all like different smells. My sister in laws all wear completely different scents than me. I’m a gormonde person. None of my sister in law wear Gormands. One of my sister in law like clean girl skin scents, one of my sister in laws like citrus fruity floral, another sister in law likes floral and woody. My most compliment fragrance I don’t care where I’m at if I wear Philosophy Amazing Grace I’m guaranteed to get 5 or more compliments and that fragrance to me is just a get up and go run errands or to the gym but everyone I encounter loves that scent.

I honestly thought that it was common sense for any grown person to realize that videos with that title and description is more of a hook, it’s entertaining and a way to describe how something might make you feel. It’s not in the literal sense that someone will instantly fall in love with you based off your smell. A good fragrance might make you memorable, it can leave a lasting impression etc but love! Yeah! I watch all your videos and you let us know what’s top elf’s approves. Now, I know Ambrosia Imperial has sincerely gotten me more conversations with men from different walks of life. Some have even told the waitress/waiter they had my meal. I am so serious but it never went beyond that.
This is such an interesting topic to me because people forget how closely scent is tied to memory, every friend who walks into my house smells my collection and almost everyone has a different #1 based on their personality, where they grew up, age, taste. There’s also the fact that if you wear a super loud beast mode commanding fragrance and that’s not your personality, it can be pretty off putting (in my opinion). I agree that freshies are the safest cuz most of us associate laundry smells with cleanliness. Vanillas are nice because most people like vanilla. BR540, Piano Santal and Loubirouge have gotten the strongest reactions from men in my experience but they’re all divisive and chemistry dependent smells so it’s really a toss-up. My SA from different cities would often call and send samples for me to try. I live in MS. I appreciate individuals seeking out new scents and learning. I was a beginner, too. Now, I am an a fragrance crackhead, LOL.

Girl this is why I don’t watch many fragrance reviewers anymore, not just because of this reason, but their constantly pushing fragrances that was either given to them for free, or their getting a paid commission for. I hardly see them showing any they don’t get commissioned for below their video, or it was sent to them for free. You do that, but you also show fragrances that you bought with your own money and own recommendations. It drives me crazy. Stop pushing 500$ fragrances you just got for free an got these women out here goin bankrupt just to try to stay with the trends, and these times are hard we can’t afford it like that, at least I can’t. I’m just keeping it real.
I totally understand what you're saying. Times are very hard. However, I don't know of any reviewer who's forcing anyone to buy a fragrance. Wether it was sent to them or not. If you walk into Neiman Marcus, the sales associate is getting commission from selling you something...it's the same thing when you're watching certain Reviewers (such as myself) it's a business. People need to get paid for their research, efforts, hair, makeup, the production to put up quality videos for you guys to watch

There’s one men’s reviewer Ashton, from Gents Scents, who won’t work with fragrance companies anymore and only works with retailers because he wants to be able to say what he wants. He’s a sort of in the middle - Not as big as Jeremy but a really healthy following and he’s giving up lots of $$$ by doing this. He doesn’t get sent bottles by many of the companies now. Doesn’t get invited to parties so that takes a bit of integrity. That’s not to crap on anyone else’s hustle, it’s just that transparency is appreciated.

I think every one who watches me can attest that I disclose when I'm sent a fragrance. I get them sent to me by a retailer as well ( so avant garde) the only brand sending me fragrances is kayali. So there's that. Also for me it isn't a secret. With growth, comes opportunities. So a brand, retailer (whatever because at the end of the day you have NO idea about the deal that the gentleman has going with sed dept stores.

I think YES, absolutely, there's one fragrance accord that snags a man...Vanilla and soft musk. Tried and true. Most of the relationships I've had started with me wearing a vanilla centric fragrance. They went wild! It's like catnip for them😂

I think men like women appreciate different scent profiles. I was in love with this one guy and he was still wearing cool water I think. I gave him Bond9 Wall Street and he told me all the women wanted to know what he was wearing. I was like damn, I shouldn’t have gifted him that. I asked a thousand questions. I was jealous. I introduced him to something new like Ai does in her videos. I think if a man has not been exposed to fragrances much, he may like how you smell but doesn’t know how to translate the experience.
Thanks for sharing. We have to keep in mind that many of those fragrance reviewers are sponsored. Even if they weren’t, we all have different tastes. Thus, no one should buy a fragrance before sampling it specially with the high cost of these fragrances.
As a guy, I might stop a lady and ask her what fragrance she’s wearing if I like it, but if she’s not my type, she won’t attract me just because she smells good!!
The fragrance that I thought was great and was liked by almost all reviewers on RUclips was Sahraa from FDB. I absolutely love it! Yet when I took a sample of it to work and let my colleagues smell it, the majority disliked it and it was a shock to me!
That tells you how people have different tastes and it doesn’t mean everyone’s gonna like your cologne cause you like it.

Well said, AI! It's ridiculous :-D My husband loves light tea scents and then unisex woody scents on me. All of the sudden, he compliments me on CH Good Girl and other completely random perfumes :-) My advice always is: just try not to repell the man with your perfume. Wear something light. Have fresh breath and clean, nice smeling hair, use deodorant :-)
Also, I have to say, many men hate cigarettes. If you don't smoke, the smell of it is very strong and repulsive. There are many people that could never be with a smoker, just because of the smell.

Out of all of my fragrances, I have received the most compliments from men wearing Si Fiori! It has a little fruitiness, a little sweetnees and vanilla, a little powdery and musky, but overall very feminine, soft, appealing, and beautiful! Its my absolute favorite everyday Signature scent and its my most complimented! Men want a woman to smell feminine, beautiful, clean, elegant, etc. And Si Fiori checks all those boxes!

The videos that are titled “panty droppers”, “make him fall in love” , etc do not bother me whatsoever. The influencers may have one or multiple reasons for doing it. It could be their honest experience, it could be click bait for views or just so we can purchase using their code or link. I watch those videos and cross reference with influencers like simplyshaughnessy that I actually trust. Shaughnessy and I have similar tastes. I get my nose on the fragrance in store if possible or order a sample and go from there. If I like it, I buy it. I have to like the fragrance because I’m the one that’s wearing it. These videos are literally for entertainment purposes people. It’s really not that big of a deal.

I always sample first if possible. A lot of hyped scents I’ve found out through experience are just ok. Great hygiene is what a guy wants a clean and pleasant smelling woman. I buy fragrances to smell good for myself. I agree what I see in some of these videos is crazy. I am new to luxury and wore Baccarat to work, 3 compliments in one day snd soon after stopped wearing it to work. I don't want that type of attention at work where the fragrance is making men lose their mind. All I know is for me, the men I like seem most interested when I am stepping out and hoping no one sees me. Men will chat me up at those times when I have on nothing or bath and body works. I do not have a lot of fragrances but know that Baccarat on me smells so sweet and lovely and probably makes men think I am the sweetest and kindest person. But I don't always want them to think that lol. I do still have a sentimental tie to the fragrance because it was my first and a woman at Neman's recommended that which I will forever be thankful for, because I had no idea about the brand.
I would love to see a fresh frangrace video or is there already one? I am one of those people that use to buy that powder scent and wear it years ago and buy those fresh soap scents.

You are point on. There is no one fragrance that will pull a man. It’s a package deal. I would say be careful how you move. You may got a man that’s a monster. Pick something safe but something that is also unequivocally you. If you always wear boozy warm scents and you love that, couldn't live without it, don't pretend to be someone you are not. You might 'catch' someone but if they don't love what you love, is it worth it? Are you going to drop the fragrances you love? Only you can decide how essential to your character your fragrance is (maybe it's just fun, nothing wrong with that) and choose the safest option that really embodies you.

It’s personality and connection. And yes I agree, I have 3 brothers and they all like different smells. My sister in laws all wear completely different scents than me. I’m a gormonde person. None of my sister in law wear Gormands. One of my sister in law like clean girl skin scents, one of my sister in laws like citrus fruity floral, another sister in law likes floral and woody. And that what all three of my brothers like.

Hey Good morning everyone! I definitely agree with everything you said… I have lots of fragrances Niche as well as Designer fragrances. My most compliment fragrance I don’t care where I’m at if I wear Philosophy Amazing Grace I’m guaranteed to get 5 or more compliments and that fragrance to me is just a get up and go run errands or to the gym but everyone I encounter loves that scent.
I own that and I totally agree. I also have to add wood sage and sea salt to that as well

I honestly thought that it was common sense for any grown person to realize that videos with that title and description is more of a hook, it’s entertaining and a way to describe how something might make you feel. It’s not in the literal sense that someone will instantly fall in love with you based off your smell. A good fragrance might make you memorable, it can leave a lasting impression etc but love! Are people really out here thinking that?

And if the person repeatedly uses those stupid titles in their videos, I ununsubsidized. I personally find it offensive to my intelligence.
