How cool is the master?..after a lifetime of walking out to audiences the world over, he can simply bow sit and chill..and swing his ass off at tempo, & just have a good time with his band. Beautiful!

People don't appreciate good stuff any more. You don't have to go very far to see that's true. Good music, good clothes, good art, good architecture , good acting, good film production, good behaviour, without filthy language, good written and spoken language skills, good car design, good family values - it's just not recognised or appreciated nowadays. It's part of the downfall of civilization - lots of knowledge but no substance or soul.

Estamos la Salle Pleyel, en el año 2009, con un muy refinado músico Francés que ha hecho una infinidad de bandas sonoras para el cine como; "Los paraguas de Cherburgo", "Verano del 42" y tantas otras composiciones famosas.
Aquí lo tenemos al Sr. Michel Legrand, compositor ,pianista , director de orquesta y lo más importante; músico talentoso.
Se presentó en esta ocasión con la "London Big Band Orchestra" en esta prestigiosa sala de París, con el tema "Fast food"(Comida rápida).

Il a enregistré et dirigé tous les requins de la grande époque, Miles Davis Mulligan, Nat Pierce, Ben Webster, Art Farmer, Donald Byrd, Phil Woods, Jimmy Cleveland Hank Jones, John Coltrane, Eddie Costa, Ray Brown, Shelly Manne, etc. Etc. Plus les requins Français... C'est quand même autre chose que la merde qu'on nous balance en 2023... Cdlt

当時、自分は高校生で、ルグランの優しい音楽に強い感銘を受けました。
ルグランは歌もうたいましたよ。

I like music and I'm a piano player but, I still dont understand, is it normal to not hear the bass? Im pretty young.
" It's normal not to hear the base"1111111. What fatuous and silly remarks we get from idiots on these pages. The base is a fundamental and rhythm -driving part of a jazz orchestra.. To 'hear' a good base player is essential, dummy.
