This might not be the absolute best MIG welding technique for each different joint or position, but for T-joint fillet welds, it works pretty well.

I like the yellow path visualization before you actually show the welding path.
For a rookie like me, it’s a great visual aid. 👍🏼👍🏼
Bret Lambky agreed. Somethings are verbally explained in videos but the yellow drawing makes the idea very clear.

Thanks bro. I'm 72. Amateur welder using arc welding. Just purchased a mig. Your vid is excellent. Thanks again.
Was getting frustrated today and then i watched your video and it completely changed the way i do mig. Thank you so much
I have been watching this channel for years, and I must say he keeps it simple, and he just keeps get better and better, iron sharpens iron.💯👍🏾
Thank you for making this! I attended welding school during high school, welded a few year and learned CNC (Mill). This brought EVERYTHING back! Thank you for helping people out here!
Great new content!! Loving the clarity of the video and the screen capture of the electrode path. Thanks Jody!
Easily the best welding tutorials on the internet. I have learned so much from this channel in just a few months. Thank You.
New subscriber here... just want to say your content is so refreshing after watching so many ego driven welding instructionals!!! Everything is about function, practicality and efficiency and then you back it all up with science!!!Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!!
Gotta say the clarity on your videos has come a long way since I first found you in 2014 Jodie. Really impressed with your instuctional videos and am eagerly awaiting my tig finger in the post. Proud to support your habbit and thanks from UK
Thanks Jody, I learn something every time I watch your videos.
EASILY the best welding tutorials on the internet... I have learned so much from this channel in just a few months and I'm actually not half bad based on the knowledge I got here! Thanks for making these!!!
My school sucks my teachers never went to detail about the distances and the pattern it needs I learn by asking everyone that’s more advance then me taught me a lil a about welding I felt like I’ve been doing all of this on my own but with you I feel more complete with the lessons and ways to weld right
Thank Jody for the great tips on Mig and Tig welding I have learned a bunch so far.
Thank you for this video. It's really helped me understand how to use a MIG welder.
i never stop learning watching and listening to your videos
Thanks Jodi. Awesome illustration of the technique for the various positions. Thanks for sharing. ( Andrew).
Thank you Jody! Great video! Be blessed!!!
Thank you so much for being slow with your teachings I'm a slow learner and a first time or a welder I appreciate you taking your time and explain things so I can understand that thank you hopefully I'll become an awesome Wilder like you again thank you
Thank you man I went to a free program for my weld certificate and they treated me with no care and little help so when I show up to these interviews I’m left in a blind spot about a lot of stuff but your whole page on RUclips has been saving me
Your videos and style of teaching/showing is hard to beat!
TakeCare,
Bill
the use of your left hand is the best I have ever seen, gives total control.
I worked in North little rock...a 3 years ago...
I Love your equipaments and your technoligy....
I generally use the “v” technique for downhill, great penetration and clean controlled edges. I used to weld 11 gauge downhill mostly 12” at a time non structural so id play with settings and just make it pretty. Roughly 18 volts with a slower feed rate, never disappointed.
Jody now even my kids know you :)). What they don't know is how I came across you back in 2011 when I was struggling with purging some 16" stainless pipe for Harrods in London. with your tips and tricks I did a good job and bought a nice little car with that money :). Also learned from you how to do a vertical fillet MMa ... I should make in one day a list on how many things I learned from you . Basically that job started me off on deep sea, high pressure projects. So thanks a lot for teaching me how to make loads of money. Keep up the great work you do. God Bless you and your family.
Awesome welding videos, this has helped me in my welding career many times that you for the great videos
Thanks for the video and sharing your experience. That's how we new people learn...
I'm just a hobby welder, so I already have bought what I need from your online store. I will try to buy more in the future.
Thanks again.
Just bought the gloves and magnets. Can’t wait to try them. Thanks Jody for all your videos and knowledge man. Glad I could support you allittle
To me you are the best youtube teacher welder. My welding students are crazy with your videos, even without understanding english, they use the automatic subtitled translator and It help them a lot.
Your quality videos are improving since I become your fan long time ago. I think that you could increase your worlwide audience by adding some kind of overlap information in scientific notation(1/8"---3.2mm). The AWS Welding Handbook recomends to use scientific notation as a means of share knowledge arround the world. God job teacher!
I've studied welding for a few years now but I never considered how much a proper ground matters with MIG welding.
I learned something new today.
Thank you for the great videos , great editing and content !
Jodi looking good bro! I can’t wait for you to get a million subscribers. You helped countless people thank you for all you do, I own a stubby has lense kit, tig finger, tig finger XL , the LeSquare and the strong hand tools mag tab 👍🏼
Just here to watch this as my stress reliver. End up learning something. 😊
Great content! As a newbie really helping me get better.
Nice. Thank you! You teaching. My Miller 211. Side job's. Cha-ching$$$. I do restaurant stainless repair and non-structural homeowner stuff! But no automobile.
Well done. Always the best videos. Thank you.
Hello, I thank you very much for this valuable information in the field of welding and thank you again for drawing the graphic lines that illustrate the way the wire moves. I hope that there will be a translation into Arabic so that I understand what it says and learn from you more experience😘😘😘
No matter how experienced you are, always to learn more
Your welds look amazing!!
Excellent Video on MIG/MAG Welding. Good Presentations. Keep up the good work.
Hello from the Tajikistan 🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯
I liked the fact of all the good information he gave it was clear and to the point as it should be
People should do the in that on the job as well
Love the videos! As well as the podcast! Could you possibly do a video on inner shield 233 wire. A lot of ironworkers struggle getting certified on this wire. And that’s the test that will certify all of our members on all flux core wire. Which is a the majority of all structural welds. I know hundreds of people I’ve met out in the field that watch your videos. It would help a lot of our members get more information on the wire. And welding with a drag angle on a verticals which is so strange lol. Thanks for the videos! Keep up the good work!
Hey Jody I bought my first welder about 3 weeks ago and tried to welding in my shop needless to say it didn't go so good but now with all your help I'm much better thanks man

👍👍👍👍 I love all your videos they're very interesting
Cool tricks. Thanks!
Excellent, as usual.
Thank you welder
Amazing teachings!
Jody , by the 2F weld why you go first up forward. (+ 3.04 min )
On the other side of the pond we learn always (I = 30 years ago) first go down forward because you can drag " dirt " under your weld.
First down and than up to fill your undercut (banana shape movement )
Same when you weld from left to right you go anti clockwise by circle movement and never clockwise because you can drag " dirt " under your weld (imperfections or silicates )
But like always a good video = Best welding youtube channel
