Glad you found the joy and awe of the Kiseki/Trails series. I was a Squaresoft/SquareEnix loyalist from the PlayStation 1 days. They could do no wrong in my book. After being disappointed with FF13 and the continued delays of FF15, I decided to play Ys 7 on the PSP. That opened the door to Nihom Falcom. Then I played Ys Memories of Celceta on my PS Vita, blown away. Then Trails of Cold Steel came, and I had to try it because it was made by Nihom Falcom. Hooked, then played Cold Steel 2 and was like, huh? Who’s Lloyd and Rixia. Only to realize I had missed out of 5 prior games. Then I went back and played the Sky and Crossbell arcs. Seriously, it’s the best JRPG series I’ve ever played. I can’t wait for Trails into Daybreak.
Nice review. Azure really has a lot of plottwits near the end. It was truly a great experience, so, if I have to choose one, it'll be Azure. However, I think Trails second games do shine because the first ones exist. So it's difficult to rank them in isolation. A word of advice for Cold Steel series. Make sure to watch on youtube the new game+ scene once you finish Cold Steel 2. There is a big plot point ther ethat got locked on NG+. Other than that, enjoy your adventure on Erebonia. Since we have so many games on CS (4 main CS games and Reverie), I guess the next review would take a while.
These games made me SOOOO glad I listened to the people who say start from the beginning with FC! Especially with the Renne plotline, something like that probably wouldn't have hit super hard without already spending 100+ hours with those characters but it had me bawling 😭 *** Major spoiler ahead *** I was completely gagged at the events we played being set in an alternate timeline omg, especially with how they give you a taste of the original timeline at the beginning. I thought it was just a way to get the player excited for what's to come because the actual start is pretty slow but no, that directly leads into the rest of the story. If you're familiar with the Zero Escape series, it basically gave me the feeling I got when I played those games. Like you learn some shit at the end that puts everything you've just experienced into an entirely different perspective. Tons of great twists in this arc but that was the best. We love you KeA
*Spoilers* Renne already knew who her parents and brother were. The dolls she had with her when she was introduced in SC were facsimilies of her parents and she had been in Crossbell observing them.
Didn't they straight up reuse the same sprites from SC in the Crossbell duology? Both a certified Falcom move, and something that just makes sense to do.
You should start with the Gargharv Trilogy (emulate it for PSP). Then with Trails and followed by Legend of Heroes, finally Cold Steel... and then you will catch up with their new releases.

So glad you love both games! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Cold Steel arc and Reverie when you get around to them! :)
Cold Steel should be fun since there’s a lot of entries in this arc! 😀

I’m gonna try to get it out by the end of the year but that might be pushing it lol 😅
Trails is basically the successor of suikoden in a lot of way. Kings of sequential storytelling and world building.
You’re stunning btw
Im glad i found this channel!

Each moment in this game is absolutely INSANE!! You’re totally right it does remind of the zero escape series! What a great comparison!😊
Wonderful video, Feji! I've got both of these games on Switch, but have yet to play my copies, but I'm looking forward to playing through them!
I love the SSS squad.. and Azure is chef kiss
I’ll watch this one later, cause I am in the beginning of azure !
The video will be waiting for you when you finish 😊
