I didn’t think we can easily make it to the final before the first leg. PSG is definitely not an easy opponent but the team has shown resilience in the first leg. Also part of the reasons is due to Luis Enrique’s tactics/lineup in first leg. The first leg result has given us more hopes and more expectations. I think we still should part ways with Nike because I doubt that they improved their offer that much not like Puma. Wirtz is very good ! I would give Pedri for him but that's not gonna happen i guess so we shouldn't spend on midfielders because we are stacked there. We should spend on a decent LW in the 2025 summer.

If nike offers a better and acceptable deal that could solve the ffp and laporta should take it, even if it is still lower than puma. They cant break up with nike for now anyway but ffp is an urgency. See how much this team needs a dm (a dm that can defend lol, i repeat, a dm that can defend). Also to be able to hire a better coach than xavi who can improve the team significantly surely you have to have money

Those deals are usually long-term. I don't see Nike agreeing to a short term deal.

Hansi Flick is a no no for me. In my opinion, Klopp is the man Laporta really wants, that's why he is trying to get Xavi to stay another season because Klopp wants to take a year out (meaning he can only join Barca in 2025). Hansi Flick wants a long term contract which is why Barca is hesitant.
Laporta is not asking Xavi to stay because of Klopp. He's asking him to stay because of the emotional connection.

Spanish teams are not physical players there’s no athletes in midfield to counter the top teams in Europe. Yes we have nice passing players but since 2017 we can’t beat physical defenders who are stronger and faster than us….it’s called the Xavi and Spain national team Spanish tax ( small technical players ) versus athletic beasts. We can blame whomever we want regarding the loss. But can anyone explain why we dont dominate our opponents ? Where is the barca DNA? Where is the philosophy?. This is the real root of the problem . We dont impose our game on opponents anymore.

Gundo could easily start at City right now and actually this season shows they are missing him a lot. Yes, he's 33 yo, but if you are good enough, you are young enough.
This squad definitely can dominate the midfield, it's about how you build the play. Under Xavi we never did the right thing in this regard.

The problem with Frenkie (and other midfielders) is that there are no mechanisms in place for ball circulation. So since no one gets open, Frenkie (and other midfielders) have no other options but to make safe passes.

How many games have Barça lost with having to play Frenkie, Pedri, and Gundogan? Lots. Why? None of them have defensive traits. Defensive awareness and position is not a primary thought. All they say is to go forward, leaving gaps to be exploited. Time and time again, the incident that happened to Araujo had happened plenty of times in la liga with Xavi starting that very same mid 3. @@ibinho10 lol nobody forced romeu to play like busquets. In the pre season he was paired with fdj to form a double pivot. That was the original plan, he did the dirty work, free fdj from the duty of defense, and it worked to some extent. But when the season started his performance went straight to the underground along with his mentality. All he was ever asked is retrieving the ball and pass it to fdj or whoever else to progress it, which is busi divided into 2, but even with that little he couldnt do properly and cost the team several times with his poor ball possession. Go check the el clasico in la liga earlier this season and see how he played when he was subbed in. Total disaster.
Also the only one trying to force araujo to play the ball was luis enrique, not xavi, cuz even a blind man sees how silly he is on ball, so yeah its not like you are super smart or something that you can see that. It has been very clearly assigned: pau cubarsi does the ball playing, araujo does the cover up. Watch the game carefully to see how luis changed his pressing game and forced araujo to be the only free passing option. So yeah now that it is over you can say whatever you want, i could even call for inaki pena starting instead of ter stegen. But its not that simple ok?
