Made this yesterday, turned out beautiful. Great instructions and easy to follow. Thank you so much. Can't wait to make more for different holidays. Have a wonderful day.
What a lovely idea to make matching place mats. That will certainly dress up the table setting. :) And don't forget, we would love to see your finished items on the website. Here is a link if you would like to share some photos www.alandacraft.com/submit-your-project/ :)
Love this runner and will get after it in the morning. Alanda, you are an excellent teacher and you've taught me so much. I'm a brand new sewer/quilter after 34 years of nursing. I love your relaxing style who makes a newbie feel she can do it. Thank you... jo
Thank you so much for that lovely comment Jo. You can also find the full instructions with photos on the Alanda Craft website - www.alandacraft.com/easy-quilted-christmas-table-runner/
As I am not a very experienced sewist, and completely new to patchwork and quilting, this was a great tutorial. The fabrics chosen were beautiful. The pattern and the quilting was very simple and easy to follow and the finished quilt was stunning. The colours and choice of fabric gave it a luxurious look. Beautiful.
Thank you so much Alanda for showing me how easy it was to make this table runner, you made each step very easy to follow and I loved making it. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for giving a complete materials list with measurements (many skip this!). Your directions were complete and easy to follow. Really appreciate your tutorial.

I really wish we could translate this into Spanish or Portuguese for you, but neither of us can do that. Apart from a few basic, and probably badly pronounced words we don't speak either language. Gracias for your lovely comment. :)
A walking foot is nice to have as it does help to keep the layers together as you quilt, but it's not essential. I quilted for years without one and even now I sometimes forget to change feet. So no you don't need a walking foot.
I generally match the thread so that is as close in colour to the fabric as possible. This would have been a gold/deep yellow color and red for the border ditch stitching. Most of the time I use cream and white as they blend with most patterns. But some people like a striking contrast so it's all a matter of personal preference.

Do i need a walking foot for thin batting in the quilted version.?
A walking foot is nice to have as it does help to keep the layers together as you quilt, but it's not essential. I quilted for years without one and even now I sometimes forget to change feet. So no you don't need a walking foot.
Will you add on the measurements.
