The DLC blade is basically the 2.0 deep tooth blade (slightly less deep) made in the material of the original Gold one.

best blade yet imo but I still have my og gold blade and use it just as much
They're all made from steel, but the coating actually differs. The original had a titanium coating, this one has a diamond like carbon (DLC) coating, which is supposed to be a harder material and give less friction
Iv been a barber for 15yrs in Miami... i like the Babyliss trimmers but i do feel their a bit rough balding or just on the skin in general, their great for lining up but my go to hittaz r still my gray Toutliners with the gtx blades with the top plastic removed mod ..keep up thr great content brother 💯💯💯

Bro, the Influencer Edition “Green Lanterns” are fire. I mixed up some outer parts w/the Gold FX so that the Patty Cuts joints now have the green bottom, gold handle, gold power switch, green housing, gold logo & black DLC 2.0 blade. My guy, if you remember the green ‘stang from Menace 2 Society w/ the gold 100 spoke Daytons….my trimmers look like they came with the car!!! I use the Goldy Locs to attract peoples eye, & they cut just a smidge longer than the GldFX. 💣💥
I just got the Black/Red "Los Cut it" edition and they were really cool and I like them. I like the way they feel with the rubber grip and the deep-tooth DLC 2.0 blade. I also have the Silver fx with the Graphite 2.0 deep tooth blade, which both are good for thicker hair. The deep-tooth blade is to make sure the blade cuts straight through thicker hair. But to be honest I found myself using my Gold fx more often and I think it because it has that fine-tooth blade and it's badass. Now, I might use the Black/Red fx or the Silver fx but I will ALWAYS have to do the finishing touches with the Gold fx because that fine tooth-blade is the BEST. So if you have not used the Gold fx, you might wanna try them strictly because of the fine-tooth blade that comes with it.

I agree I have these as well. My only complain is that the Gold FX blade gets hotter quicker than the graphite blades. But the Gold FX is 🔥

What do you think is a good trimmer for home/personal use ? I'm not a barber, just trying to find something better for my beard. I used to use some wahl from walmart. Looking for an upgrade, and thought to find something in the professional line. Worth it for me as I see it as an investment and will likely last me several years.
Get the babyliss fx trimmer. Get the influencer edition or the boosted version.

So what about the thin blade that comes with the gold fx? I’ve been wanting to buy a skeleton fx trimmers but don’t know which on to buy. Does it really come down to blade? Are those DLC blades a happy medium between the thin gold fx blade and the graphite blade? I’m looking at a pair online with that same black matte finish so I’m hoping with come with that DLC blade.

You’ll be fine with either of them. Mine work that way because of the way there adjusted. They’re both adjusted differently.

@@tonycherry8576 naw I dont but I can make one but it's easy I take the blade off of the babyliss trimmers and i 0 gap it like a clipper I get it close as I can loosen one side get it right and then I do the other side done deal but I will try to do it today so keep a look out if u want
