If they stick to their manifesto and don't forego all electoral chances for the next decade for a crumb of power, mansion and 5p plastic bag surcharge (gained at the cost of further bastard-level sanctions on benefit claimants) then they might be relevant, yeah. I always remember the line from 'Lenin' portrayed by Sir Patrick Stewart - "Don't trust the Liberals, they will betray you"
It's also completely un-costed. The LibDems have the luxury of knowing they won't be in government so don't actually have to deliver on their promises.

Sounds like some great ideas but I always worry with the smaller parties that there just promising the world because they know they won't have to actually deliver
Conservative: a sneering tolerance. They'll let gays and trans people live because they won't be outwardly genocidal but they cannot stand them and make there lives difficult out of spite. Labour: middle roaders. They are stuff and old fashioned so whilst they have shown support for LGBT. My local labour candidate went to pride. They do so like a dad who son is gay and he still loves him but he gets weirded out when the husband in law comes round. I don't see this as bad it more a continued as it is. They are frightened of alienating women voters so there policy on trans is a neutral 'live and let live' However Labour also had a lot of anti semitism and I believe they'd have some homophobes in the party to boot. Even if outwardly the party seems rather tepid on the topic at large. Lib Dem: no idea if they have swung left of labour they'll be moving to grease some wheels and grow with that new marginalized group of voters. Greens: I think they are the most progressive party. At least outwardly so I imagine they are the strongest on LGBT issues and to be fair this makes sense as they also have the strongest desire to push a more pro EU agenda. SNP: formed by actual national socialist so honestly no clue. They did have some pretty pro LGBT stuff under the former leader. Reform: Nigel Farage makes friends with Nazis, KKK and Putin. So yeah it's not easy to tell where they'll stand. Right of the conservatives, it is not a sneering tolerance it is an open hatred.
I never really gave the Lib Dems much thought. I never really saw them as being big enough to make a reasonable difference, so I didn’t look into them much. And further ensure that Palestinians have territorial recognition and sovereignty. They are also calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and equally calling upon the release of the Hostages.

Why does this seem somewhat decent
Because it is unsustainable
@@unitedfront9717 Unfortunately. Just too expensive.
@@unitedfront9717it is sustainable
@@unitedfront9717 unsustainable in what sense? It's a fully costed manifesto.
@@zo2bvwho fully costed it?
The Big established companies will not be happy with the tax. It's fantastic that we taxed them.
Sounds like some great ideas but I always worry with the smaller parties that there just promising the world because they know they won't have to actually deliver
I’m voting Lib Dem
Lib Dems are always pretty based but this manifesto is extremely based imo
I’d like to see you add each parties stance on human rights of minorities like LGBTQ people for the next video. I think it’s a very important topic.
They are frightened of alienating women voters so there policy on trans is a neutral 'live and let live'
However Labour also had a lot of anti semitism and I believe they'd have some homophobes in the party to boot.
We should all be voting Lib Dem but sadly too many don't care enough about politics and yet will moan about unhappy they are.
Its beyond desperate.
Disappointed in the low level of swearing 😊. Hopefully you'll make up for it with your coverage of the Tories. 🎉
I'm doing my best to keep it down for these, but all of the pent up swearing is being poured into the next video!
@@justsomegeezer69 That's exactly what I wanted to hear!
I'm sure he will
Remember that the Yellow Tories empowered the actual Tories and that they played a large part in the situation we are in now.
Wow! Impressive!
I never really gave the Lib Dems much thought. I never really saw them as being big enough to make a reasonable difference, so I didn’t look into them much. I’m still going to tactically vote Labour, but if the Lib Dems do well enough and are predicted to stay that way, I may very well vote for them in the next election. And I wouldn’t have seriously considered that if it wasn’t for this video.
Was Geez in the military?
A lot of british people join the cadets in certain areas maybe that
You should do a video on the green manifesto as well (and maybe reform but idc lol)
Are we entirely sure at some point Labour and Lib Dems didn’t just swap platforms?
Jesus Christ! As an American, may I ask if it would be ok if I illegally immigrate to the UK to vote for Lib-Dem? This sounds amazing!
I'm a Murrkin. I had no idea the British Liberal Democrats were so cool. In some other countries, "liberal" means "libertarian," ie right-wing and in favour of more freedoms for corporations and wealthy white males.
LIberal. Libertarian. A huge international cluster**** of a communication problem which ought to be dealt with, dontcha think?
I would vote the Liberal Democrats but I sit in a Labour safe* seat... my local Lib Dem candidate seems canny as well. Massive shame.
To be fair, Labour will win. And they will increase their vote share like everywhere in the country.
Unless you think the Tories will somehow win in your seat, if it's not already a Tory seat then vote your conscience
@@ILikedGooglePlus Sorry forgot to mention it was a Labour safe seat, not a regular seat.
There's little chance of the Liberal Democrats winning, nevermind the Tories or Reform.
Convince the other asshat parties to tactically vote for lib dem lol
@@northbytrain Even still, voting for a minor party directly helps their funding, visibility, and legitimacy. Even if they don't win the seat, national and local vote % is important for them.
That said, I'm not trying to convince you which way to vote (beyond never vote Tory). I am not voting LibDem. Especially if you don't like the candidate.
I just wanted to help you be most informed so you could make the decision you're happiest with
ALSO, Foreign Policy: Liberal Democrats would immediately recognise the State of Palestine, which will aid in the part of the two-state solution. And further ensure that Palestinians have territorial recognition and sovereignty. They are also calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and equally calling upon the release of the Hostages.
Does LD support a permanent ceasefire?
I genuinely thought recreational cannabis was already legal or mostly legal in the U.K.. It's such a waste of resources to arrest and/or prosecute people for petty cannabis possession. Just IMO, not my country, I'm from North America. I like your videos!
You forgot jazz cabbage
Anything is better than TORY Party, Lib Dem manifesto is better than all the others, VOTE LIB DEM ON 4th JULY.
I was planning to vote lib dem purely for tactical reasons but I lowkey like their ideas now
Vote Lib Dems
If I lived in England, I'd probably vote lib dem.
They'd need to source alot of money for this but if they committed to taxing the rich this should all be possible.
They want to build 380k home a year? How?
Large amount of houses were built in the 60-70s. With modern day technology it should be possible however would be incredibly difficult.
There is no way to know if they are going to do what they promised right?
I’m struggling to find anything to dislike here. Although I’m confused as to why they’d ban vapes but then make weed legal. I don’t disagree with the legal weed stance but it’s like banning mopeds, then making penny farthings road legal.
I hope a video on the greens comes about soon, it's the only decent left-wing party nowadays
Have you not paid attention to this video plus greens in General are dumb given their stance on nuclear energy
