This actually makes a lot of sense for Trump. Neither Putin or Zelensky want a ceasefire now. It is good for Putin because to reach his goal about the 4 Oblasts. It is good for Trump because it will be much easier to negotiate with Putin. Zelensky on the other hand should favor negotiations right after the inauguration because things will only get worse for Ukraine. But Zelensky fears the end of the war.
