Holy shit that thing is slow even with all the cross cuts. I almost fell asleep watching it.
I worked for 27 years on wood chippers that could chip 1,500 tons a day. I think that's about 50 railcar loads of logs everyday.
2,500 hp synchronous motor driven chippers.
At the end of the day it was turned into paper.

ES ist unverantwortlich gutes Holz mit ausreichendem Durchmesser nicht zu Baustoffen wie Balken, Bretter, Leisten Platten und so weiter zu verarbeiten. Nur schwieriges oder nicht ausreichend starkes Holz sollte man zu Brennstoff, Streu oder Kompost verarbeiten und zwar in der Reihenfolge.

I wonder why these large trees would be chipped rather than cut, spit and sold for firewood?
The logs at 7:44 could be used to make enough furniture for a house. Maybe they need to get these trees out of the way so they can build a town and name the streets after them?
Why they not making boards with these nice looking trees? Grind for mulch? Wasted!
