‘I’ve never hurt myself with a knife’ Sorry to say it Aaron but I JUST randomly watched the rainbow picnic video last night and….. I beg to differ. 🤣🤣🤣
From what I have learned and been told, a way to keep them from getting soggy is to let all your fillings cool down before putting them in the burrito. The moisture from the trapped steam, the liquids of your hot fillings can soak into the tortillas making them absorb and becoming soggy. So cooling your fillings is a good start and seeing where to go from there :)
I fully support you guys with this. I love working out so far ive lost ten pounds. RonRon and to anyone else whose working out keep it up. Love you so much RonRon!
I think Aaron really really wants to have a child. And Roni is still not ready yet. And the fact that Aaron waits and respect Roni is so so amazing. GOSHHH WHAT A LOVE LIFE 🥺
Organizing tip: I meal prep on Sunday to last till the weekend and its soooo helpful. It's a responsibility that I dont have to have in mind when I finish a long day from work.
Ronron videos are the best when it’s a cooking video! Y’all should do more videos of teaching each other yalls culture dishes, if that makes sense lol I love watching these videos !
@14:56 If you heat it up a bit in the microwave/oven you can then use an airfryer (if available) and then put it on reheat mode or the normal air fryer mode and they should then be less soggy. or another option is to heat it up in microwave and then heat on cooking pan for a bit. Thats what i do for pizza and it works everytime
Friendly reminder that health comes in many shapes and sizes, there is no one look to health and there is no one way to be healthy. Like Roni said, our bodies are always changing and because of that I believe the way our bodies feel and what they do for us matters more than how they look (:
I’ve been meal prepping all of my meals for the last couple of months. The day I meal prep absolutely sucks and I am so exhausted after but it’s still worth it to me. My week is so much easier when I don’t have to make any extra meals or anything for sure. Loved the video!❤
omg this came just in time - my husband & i have been talking about starting to meal prep too 😎 another fun video, love y'all!! btw i think what would help with the breakfast burritos is having the ingredients cool to room temp before assembling! it might have been the steam from the eggs/sausage that made them soggy 😅
It takes a lot to create a habit and I’m so happy for you both wanting to continue this healthy journey. It’s not easy but well worth it, be proud of yourselves and remember to celebrate all accomplishments whether they are small or big! 🥳🏆👏 🙏🏽
I love u guys so muchhhh u dont understand how much I love u guys. I wait for ur videos every Tuesday for the merrell twins ( Roni and Nessa) and u Guys’s lie streams! I’m subscribed to all the channels u are both in and I love u and Nessa amd Roni loadsssss.
Yes to more cooking / meal prep videos ❤❤❤ But ..... more positive words while cooking, because food takes in the energy of the chef & the environment. ❤ 😂🎉
I really enjoyed watching this video!!! Please make more meal prepping videos, and maybe your fitness training/marathon training videos as well. I think they would be very motivating and encouraging for people who want to be healthier :)
I've never done meal prep and I don't know the first thing about meal prepping, but I feel like maybe for the burritos you could just chop everything and make the eggs and sausages before hand but assemble the actual burrito in the tortilla each morning instead so they don't get soggy Not sure if that would work, but worth a try!
My bf and I tried cleaning, laundry and meal prep all in one day and it was just to stressful. So now what I do is on Sundays a crockpot for dinner/ the next days lunch, salads/ breakfast for the week and juicing. Then just trying to get into the habit of cooking every night for meal prepped lunch the next day. When I tell you the crockpot meals are so clutch I mean it. We just do this so we can have a little more relaxation before going back to work !
I have found that making breakfast sandwiches for breakfast are less soggy than burritos. Another idea is making a large batch of pancakes, oatmeal or even just yogurt with fruit and add granola day of. For me I generally meal prep 3ish meals that I use for lunch and dinner. Pastas and soups are great for meal preparation because they are easy to make into large batches. The other way you can meal prep is to get the veggies cooked, rice/pasta cooked and protein cooked and in separate bowls, but when it comes to meal time mix and match. For example you could do taco meat, garlic chicken and a teriyaki salmon for protein then have a variety of roasted veggies and rice to mix and match.
For soggy breakfast burritos, I’d reheat it in an air fryer, toaster oven or with a George Foreman grill/panini press. A skillet would also, just be sure to rotate it to “toast” all sides. Microwaving it warms the inside, making it steam the tortillas, but causing that irritating bread effect, where the ends will dry out and get tough. Loosely wrapping it in a damp paper towel would help but leave it soggy.
YES! We need a 75 Hard Challenge docu-series on Aaron’s channel! I adore your guys health journey; growing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle for/with each other. Goals :)
I meal prep every weekend and I find that the easiest thing for me is to roast food in the oven. I usually make chicken breast, vegetables, and potatoes (or rice in the rice cooker). To add some variety, I sometimes season the chicken breast two different ways. Pasta is also easy to make in large quantities and I always add roasted vegetables on the side.
tip to make burritos less soggy: roll the tortilla and throw it in the fridge as such, the morning you want to eat, heat up a pan add a little butter/oil and heat up the burritos it will be crispy on the outside and warm on the inside!!
Tip: combine all your ingredients that you’ll both eat together, lay your burritos out fill and then add the individual preferences. May help it go a little faster.
"I'd never hurt myself with a knife" Hmm I remember I vlog I watched a while back with two lovely couples titled 'Trying Viral Rainbow TikTok Challenge' Around the 17:24 time stamp a young man didn't expect that "Has to be purple" knife to be so sharp😉
Great idea to meal prep for the week. I was wondering how the breakfast burritos would be, not sure I dig a soggy burrito but least it will be tasty still. Great video, RonRon. Thank you for sharing. 🤩😁
I think if you guys toast your tortillas it will keep them from tearing and also wraps easier. For heating them up toast them on the pan to crisp it up again! ❤ love your content
Instead of cooking the burritos right after meal prepping and putting them in the fridge, you can just put them uncooked/cold in the freezer wrapped in foils and in the morning, pop it in the air fryer or toaster oven or oven. That will help with the sogginess and make it crispy!
the food looked so much better than what i eat on a daily basis, good job you guys. it may not have been perfect but still hella good for your first try
If you have a mini toaster oven, you can always pop them in there and it’ll help crispy burritos. And the thing I learned about meal prepping is when you make food that heats well it’s easier than food that doesn’t heat up well.
Do adobo!! It tastes better even if you store it in the fridge for the whole week!! And you can do different variands, chicken, pork, squid. Hope to see another video like this in the future!! Woot woot, watching from the PH 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 love you guyssss
The way I meal prep is a lot easier than having to make so many meals at once. I make a meal that’ll feed my family plus 4 ish more people. The extra food I prep in containers. Then I make another meal the next day that’s different but same amount. Then the rest of the week I’ll have meals prepared from the meals that I made Monday and Tuesday for dinners and lunches. Hope this tip helps 😊
I think it's so important for y'all to prioritise muscle mass bc I heard you can get diabetic/other health problems when growing older if there's loss of muscle mass. And diet actually matters to do that TT
Roni's contributions to videos are the best, *gags* and AAAAAAARROOOOOONNNNN!
LOL FOREVER ICONIC
‘I’ve never hurt myself with a knife’

Roni: "I'm not gonna fall out of you because you dont have abs."😂😂😂

I really enjoyed watching this video!!! Please make more meal prepping videos, and maybe your fitness training/marathon training videos as well. I think they would be very motivating and encouraging for people who want to be healthier :)
Reading the Bible is the best exercise! Do it again, Roni! But this time, do it with Aaron.
Love this video, I could definitely watch more of this 😊
I've never done meal prep and I don't know the first thing about meal prepping, but I feel like maybe for the burritos you could just chop everything and make the eggs and sausages before hand but assemble the actual burrito in the tortilla each morning instead so they don't get soggy
Not sure if that would work, but worth a try!
For the burrito- you could wrap each one in parchment paper and then foil, so it doesn’t stick and then label A for Aaron and R for Roni!
I love you ronron!! I've never been so early to a video before😊

RonRon cookbook, coming soon? Please do some Filipino recipes! Would love to try them out and surprise my Filipino family with them!

Air fryer for the burritos! Love you guys!
I think it's so important for y'all to prioritise muscle mass bc I heard you can get diabetic/other health problems when growing older if there's loss of muscle mass. And diet actually matters to do that TT
For less soggy burritos try heating them up in the air fryer! Game changer!!
To make them less sogy don't put them in them in oven before storing it. Put it in the oven every morning before you eat it.
Awesome video ❤
To make burito less soggy, cooked the egg untill it get more thick, and use grilled chicken breast(less oil)
