I am 60 years old and a faithful LV follower of about 4 years. I have studied Linda's style and our garden looks better than it ever has thanks to her videos!
I loved Leah's strategy for shopping for thrifted clothing. I will use those tips!
I smiled when Linda said 'people don't have all day to watch these videos' I thought 'but, yes, I would love to watch them all day!' :)
Thank you Stuart and Linda. Grateful to you both!
Loved Leah's strategies for thrifting and her sense of style, as well as the dialogue between Leah and Stewart. Thanks for keeping the channel evolving and interesting. Thank you Linda, Leah, and Stewart.
Lynne here. Welcome LEAH !! You’re in good hands working on Linda’s team. I look forward to seeing more of you. Linda’s team is small so if she want you on the team that’s good enough for me as I’m sure she’s very particular.
Leah inspired me to go thrifting today and I found some LINEN PIECES! Thank you LV for having Leah on. I’m a 26 yr old who’s getting into gardening (thanks to you and my grandma. We both watch you). I loved this video❤
I love my farmer sleeves! My daughter gifted them to me a couple years ago. They have saved me from poison ivy, bug bites and sunburn.
I love spying Stuart in the mirrors and windows etc - It’s like finding Waldo 🤭
Haha YES!!! 😅
This is the cutest comment. I do the same thing.
Loved this segment! I have gotten lots of ideas from Linda on gardening, decorating and great products to try! Loved seeing Leah going thrifting and her talking about what is trending. I am going to be 65 years young in a month and love getting new ideas from all age groups!
Thank you for reminding me to order a pair of Farmers Sleeves-I got the White Ladybugs. My Hoi Hoi Knife and Sheboren Sprayer will arrive Tuesday.
Linda, I thank you for your joy, knowledge and care that all come through your videos. Blessings to you. 😎
I loved this! I’m hoping Linda makes a video trying on the selections that Leah chose for her.
I agree, I always look for the material as well. I feel like they always wear better and last longer. Thank you for taking us all along. 🥰
Leah, thank you! What a great tip about fabric content. I can’t wait to see Linda styling the clothes. This made me think of an old friend that I use to shop for clothes with. She was my personal stylist. Unfortunately we live too far away to do that now, but thanks for bringing that memory back. ♥️
Linda, thanks for all the product tips! I love them. 😊
Getting ready to leave for a hiking trip and purchased the farmers sleeves fur sun protection. I will also use them in my garden! Thanks Linda!
Just wanted to Thank you for this idea for garden sleeves. My daughter’s meds are causing sun sensitivity-I ordered her a set of sleeves-she loves them now she can enjoy her gardening again. Thanks again!
Jan
Loved it! Thats how i look through the clothes, by looking for nice fabrics- cotton, linen and silk.
I liked the thrifting segment. Great tip to look for certain fabrics!
Enjoyed being introduced to Leah. Looking forward to seeing Linda in her new-to-her thrifted clothes!
Great tips Leah - I LOVE the tip abt looking for fabrics - I am 58 years old and I LOVE cotton and linen and hate polyester and rayon and elastine etc..they do not breathe ! After watching this I thought "I'm gonna do that next time I go to the thrift store for clothes".
Loved this segment nice to see Leah - as always Thanks for sharing😊
I always enjoy your videos, I for one would love if they were more frequent, but you are a very busy lady. I’m happy that you added Saturdays to your schedule, thanks! It was a pleasure to see your new friend Leah thrifting for you, she seems to have a very nice personality, she was lovely 😊
Leah seems like a lovely genuine person, its interesting to see what you come across thrifting.
Linda, you and your team are wonderful. I really enjoyed meeting another member of your team. Leah's segment was so lovely. It will be fun to see how they look on Linda. Also great shopping strategy. It made me feel like I might be more open to shopping for clothes at a thrift shop - I wasn't before. It is sad that people were critical. 💕 We the people can control what wee see on RUclips. If I am not interested, I stop the segment and move on.
They make the small sprayers with a pump on top and it doesn’t need batteries or charging. I love mine and I found it at Walmart.
Wondering if those sleeves will snag? Cleaning up roses is my dreaded job. Enjoyed you today!
Ha, I shop like Leah does. Enjoyed her being on here. 😊
Enjoyed it! Thank you
As others have mentioned, Linda welcomes all comments and criticisms. That is one of both Linda’s and Stewart’s many strengths - receiving all of the feedback, good and bad, in stride. I have watched Linda’s channel as a subscriber for many years and, I must admit, this video felt unfinished to me. Perhaps that is what other comments are touching on? I enjoy the move to incorporate Leah in the channel’s content - she’s got a lovely, sunny disposition - but I found myself wondering why there was no “thrifting closure”. We never saw Linda try on Leah’s choices. The video ended and I immediately said to myself, “Wait a minute! It’s over? That’s it?” My assumption is that piece is being saved for next weekend’s video, but a nod to that would have helped the video feel complete. Last thought - I am younger viewer / subscriber. May I say that, in my opinion, Linda does not need to add Leah or other friends to her content to attract a younger demographic. Let’s be kind and fair! Anyone interested in the “garden inspired life” will flock to Linda, I am sure, no matter their age!
My last thought is in response to comments suggesting Leah being introduced as a content strategy to attract younger viewers. I don’t think that’s a fair assumption.
You said it more eloquently than I would have.
The segment with Leah was great! Interested in seeing what Linda thinks of her picks.
I enjoyed today’s video. 😊
A thrifting video is what got me here in the first place. Then I saw gardening and was hooked! I enjoy every video. I loved watching Leah. So cute and stylish. Leah, like Linda is made for the camera. Looking forward to more thrifting and gardening videos. Thanks for all you share with us.
Leah deserves a chance to grow in this industry
Why is everyone so harsh with her when she just now starting to be part of Linda’s Chanel
There is obviously a bunch of Jealous and envy viewers giving their opinions
How about a little voice of encouragement to this beautiful talented young lady
I agree. A bunch of nasty uncalled for comments in this one. People are so jealous and envious. Either that or they really do not know Linda. Because she has always brought in friends old and young and has always shared products and things.
Love that Linda shares her space on RUclips with others . Shows her amazing heart.
@@melissastruxness512 First of all the word "jealous" is used when there is love/affairs of the heart involved. Second, people cannot seem to take criticism anymore or they are called haters. We now live in a world where everyone gets a trophy no matter what. Not good. How will you learn to improve?
@@CookieZ3353 Obviously you do not know the difference between expressing an opinion and a hateful comment.
@@CookieZ3353jealousy is much more. It can apply to seeing and criticising what others do which you would stop yourself from doing. So you are essentially jealous of them growing their business when you criticise them involving others.
Heads up - Rayon is made from cellulose, same as cotton
Hi Stewart!
Cute video. I enjoyed it. Refreshing.
Nice sleeves when picking tomatoes etc too. Ordered a pair. Thanks.
I love Farmers sleeves. Working with scratchy type plants is a breeze. Plus when I weed eat where there is poison ivy it is a barrier.❤
I WANT those cutoffs!!!! Leah is lovely. Good choices
When are you going to try them on?
I was wondering what you’ve been wearing on your arms in the last few videos. I feel the same way about sunscreen on my arms. Plus I’m lazy about reapplying it. I just ordered a pair in the wildflower pattern. Thank you Linda!
Great job trying to find goodies! What will Linda love!?
Love the thrifting video and all the videos you share!
I watched the video the day it was released and didn’t leave a comment or read the other comments, so when Linda mentioned them on today’s video my curiosity got the best of me so here I am when it was probably smarter to just stay quiet. 😀Frankly I think some on both sides have lost perspective, but then the last few years I do find I disagree with the extremes on both sides of most any issue, lol. I could be wrong but I think most people fall within a close median and the far sides just outshout the rest of us and get more attention. Anyway, maybe if Linda could introduce/explain more if anyone is going to do a segment alone, that might help? I think the young lady did a good job and was fine, but the items she chose just weren’t my thing so it wasn’t all that interesting to me, and that’s okay. It doesn’t mean she wasn’t good, just that we don’t share common tastes in that area. I also think that some of the “defenders “ who read offense in many comments where I don’t think offense was intended, then themselves became deliberately offensive to the person who posted a more critical opinion. Normally Linda asks for feedback, even if it’s criticism not praise so I think at least some of the folks were stating their opinions in that sense, not to be hurtful. Undoubtedly, there were a small handful on both sides that seemed to intentionally step over the line. I also think anyone who puts themselves out on social media needs to have somewhat tough skin, or at least refrain from reading comments, because there are always going to be people you didn’t resonate with and some of them are going to say so, sometimes trying to offer a suggestion and sometimes for other reasons. One other thought struck me, and maybe I am the only one who feels this way, but I doubt it, is that so many of us older women, particularly older single women, already feel invisible to society and kind of beat down, so I for one like watching another woman in my age bracket with interests and tastes that are similar to mine, and am simply less interested in watching a much younger woman with tastes that are different because it seems like there’s already too much of that. And that’s nothing personal, no offense meant, and no criticism implied because their tastes are likely far more current and in style than mine. 😀
I didn’t care for it 🤷🏻♀️
Linda should in no way apologize to very hurtful negative comments!!! PERIOD END OF STORY!!
Great segment as always and thank you Leah for bringing your style & energy to the community!
PS Leah, haters will hate and not celebrate 💛
We're not haters. No one can take criticism anymore!
I wanted to see you try the things on that your friend picked for you
What is with the nasty comments today. I find this very discouraging. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this segment and to the people saying they are leaving. Good riddance frankly
It's so weird. People take it as a personal affront when something isn't EXACTLY how they want it to be. I never was aware of the level of narcicissism in the general (supposed) adult public until social media. It can be unnerving. Many people can't seem to express an opposing view without being nasty.
I think Linda asks for feedback and that is exactly what her viewers are offering. I really don’t see anyone being nasty or mean at all.
@@jeanieh9386 Agree, its been blown out of proportion. Linda WANTS our honest feedback!
@@ritasicari7518 It's not narcissism which you are using incorrectly, it's called criticism which people cannot seem to take anymore because they have all turned into weenies because of liberalism.
@@CookieZ3353I'm not using it incorrectly. One definition of narcissism is self-centeredness. Everything has to suit YOUR tastes and YOUR sensibilities. It is narcissistic to say you're leaving the channel because of one segment that you didn't like.
Leah seems sweet & I thought she did a great job and offered some good tips for finding clothes in the thrift shop
I’m looking forward to seeing you try on her picks
How many people have a personal shopper?
I got some of those gardening sleeves from TEMU ❤️….my gardening gloves slip right over them.
I’d like to offer an observation about the thrifting section with Leah and why it may not resonate with your subscribers/fans. I think people love your aesthetic and approach to life, Linda, and based on the age of the viewer, you take on a given role-friend, neighbor, favorite aunt, etc.-depending on the person. For me, for some reason, you remind me of my grad school mentor, whom I love. When you thrift, it’s like going shopping with said friend or favorite aunt-it’s not the thrifting itself we enjoy as much as thrifting with you. While Leah may be charming, her interests and appeal don’t intersect with the interests of your base… now if you had a young person who was more “cottage core” or garden-Inspired in their style, it might be different.
@ProfSalam Hi, wow, It was one video. Leah's a nice young lady. She picked out a few pieces of clothing for Linda to try on. She did what she was invited by Linda to do. I didn't find her unappealing at all. Quite the opposite. If there is anything gardening has taught me, it's patience. Why not give Leah a chance? Maybe some grace is in order.
Farmers defense brand sleeves. I just love them go
I ordered the sprayer last year. Loved it. It’s not working this year and it’s not the battery. I was so disappointed.
I live Stewart waving in the mirror! Fun video! 😎
Farmers sleeves are also good for people who foster puppies or small dogs to protect against sharp nails!
confuse everyone and wear two different styles of the farmer gloves on each arm lol
Question: What would you suggest if your hydrangeas had beautiful leaves but very few blooms? Sorry out of today’s subject. Will order those sleeves. Thanks, Patty
Do you feed the hydrangea?
@@lizraper3667 Yes, but what do you use?
If you prune it at the wrong time, you will cut off all the future blooms.
In my colder zone 5 region I have great luck with panicle hydrangeas that flower on new wood in a sunny location. Macrophylla survive quite well and leaf out but unfortunately the buds don’t make it in any number if at all.
I loved Leah thrifting. Wish she would have modeled them for us. She’s so cute.
Yes, I love the home videos as well!
Linda, I ordered a little sprayer and I love it! The last time I used it though, it kinda of collapsed … like a suction if that makes sense! I was wondering has this ever happened to yours?
Where did Leah get her bag at....super cute👍
I have a question on the gardeners sleeves. Are they breathable? I overheat in the garden. I can’t imagine wearing long sleeves. It seems to me that wearing these gloves would be like that. Plus you said that they are made from plastic bottles. That doesn’t seem like they would be very breathable. Also, wondering if they had plain colors so it’s not so obvious or clashing with what you might already be wearing?
Very comfortable to wear. Not hot at all. There are probably solid ones available but I’m not sure.
I use my farmers sleeves driving in the car too.
I’m wondering if these would help avoid poison ivy. I seem to get it every time I weed a certain area
I love the t-shirt you’re wearing.
Nice protection slves..and organizer
Like your thrifting items you found. Very nice. Really like the gloves. A great idea. You gave us some great ideas and thrifted ideas so wonderful! Thanks for sharing Linda!!
Wouldn’t it have been more FUN if STEWART would have done this Thrifting segment.
He knows her likes & dislikes after all the videos they have done together. Not to mention his sense of humor! 😂
I have a pair of the sleeves that I use to pick cucumbers. The leaves cause my arms to be itchy but these sleeves help a great deal.
👋 to who was waving in the mirror! 😂 Assuming it was Stewart. Really enjoyed the thrifting tips and can't wait to see you in the outfit (s). 😊
~I loved every moment if this one! Keep em comin!👍❤👍💯🐸😅
So nice to meet you, Leah- welcome !!!
yes!
Really enjoyed every part of this video! Thank you!
I see some negative comments about the Leah segment. Maybe it would help if Linda would introduce her in a more formal way….tell us about her, let us get to know her before we are taking advice. She is adorable.
She introduced Leah a few vlogs back and told us about her.
Need to get me some! My arms get so battered when I work in the yard and get so scratched.
Love thrifting ❤
Can’t wait for you to try on the things Leah picked out. I really like the long shorts.
Loved every thing!! Thanks you for great suggestions I ordered the red garden Uggs and I am definitely getting the farmer sleeve.
Loved it all including the thrifting!!!❤
Firstly,the reference to the farming sleeves being percived(jokingly by me,at least),was a hilarious start😂😂
Also,I think that your thrifting segment was just another great example of how you are always so willing to showcase your friends and their unique tastes,it is very kind and generous.
Keep that up,your special guests are a very important feature of your channel.
Well said,Charles,my name is Charles,too!
Oh,wait,I’m replying to my own comment🙄😂😂
@@charlesperez9976 oh my that’s so funny! 🤣😂😅
Leah did a fine job for Linda. Snarky comments smack of jealousy. She was a lovely, cheerful young woman doing a difficult job for someone who has become iconic to many and did just fine. Some people should pay attention to how they sound and grow up. One doesn’t have to always say what they are thinking if it will be hurtful.
Lol I just bought a pair of jeans ..new and at a discount store...they are made with recycled plastic bottles too. Haven't warn them yet. But what will they think of next 😁😅
It's winter here in Adelaide but I'm thinking these sleeves would be easy to make, might give it a try. I love thrifting or op shopping we call it here. I never find any bargains in the clothing area tho 😒
Thanks for showing some gardening products that I am definitely going to order. How cool!
I have Farmer's sleeves too a different pattern and I also have their gardener's apron!! Have had for a couple years and love them!!
Why are we watching someone else in your video do the thrifting??? I would prefer to watch you
I watch several RUclips channels and if they air something I’m not interested in I just scroll on by. If someone’s voice irritates me I just don’t watch. I’m appalled that anyone would be so miserable that they would want to cause hurt just blows my mind! I have opinions just like anyone but I think it’s very rude to air my opinion in a negative way. You know what they say about opinions…..
Linda,Leah,Stewart,I think a hack just happened,just know.
I use those sleeves when I’m driving too!
I'm finding this whole exchange to be incredibly interesting from a social perspective. I think people need to realize that being a "Content Creator" is a job that pays real money. As consumers of that content, we don't pay a fee to watch, but in addition to suffering through ads, or paying extra not to see them, we pay with our TIME and that is extremely valuable to me. There is nothing wrong with constructive feedback as it allows the creator to tailor their output to what their audience wants to see. Can you imagine saying to your boss, "If you don't have anything nice to say..."?? The other reality is that RUclips rewards channels that post constantly and that is what you have to do if you want to stay in front of those lucrative eyeballs. Erin from the Impatient Gardener (who I absolutely ADORE because she A. Has a real job and B. Takes no crap and is highly sarcastic and I'm here for it), talked about this recently and how her inability to post every day has hurt her channel. I suspect that this new type of content from Linda was a way to keep producing videos while she is away or now that the front garden is planted. That's ok, but it's important to remember that it might not resonate with everyone who watches you for a specific kind of content or because they find you personally appealing. The exchange is healthy and will probably make the channel stronger.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video ⚘️🌼 I rarely comment but some have been quite mean with this segment. Great job to everyone involved🌹🍀 keep up the excellent work 😊
I can see where the farmers sleeves would be great for me in certain situations so I don’t get poison ivy but long term, I would find them too hot to wear all the time gardening. They are cute. I like watching your thrifting videos and what you like.
Anyone know what purple plant in pot behind Linda is? Thank you
It’s beautiful isn’t it
I would guess scaevola or verbena both sun and heat loving plants.
@@cymbal2223 Thank You - so much - Beautiful isn’t it
Great job, Linda & Stewart! I look forward to your useful videos. What a fun treat.
Agree,I love sunscreen protective sleeves. Stewart needs to be more involved - share with him more before you video so he can be aware. I enjoy hearing him in the background 😎 I order a lot of your ideas.
I was enjoying your latest episode when my partner woke up from his nap, and asked why Taylor Swift has a gardening show.
Couldn’t agree more, you are stunning Miss Linda🌞
I tune in to Linda to see gardening and really not to see wine tasting and thrifting. I try to run these segments up and since the front garden is done, I guess it will be awhile before we see gardening again. I just find new to me gardeners on RUclips to enjoy.
I’m with you on this. However I do enjoy watching Linda hit some of the nice local thrift shops. I was really thinking her front yard would take a lot longer to plant up but she had all the plants delivered & people to do the work so it went by so fast. I’m going, “now what?” Lol Will she have anymore gardening content for us to watch after the back yard is done? I also love her traveling to see other gardens as well. But Linda is going way too fast with this new cottage remake. Slow down Linda! 😁
Just sat down for a short housecleaning break and here you are.
I still want to know what your hairstyle is called and what you have to do each day to make it look so good.
I have been wondering if you will show us what is on the left side of your front door under the diamond-shaped window?
I bought my (real farmer) daughter those farmer arms for her birthday! 2:11
Leah's sandals were really cool. Where did she get them?
I need gloves one for hubs and I. I hope they have one in white for hubs. I love the sunglasses near the front door but since my glasses are prescription I only have one pair
I think Leah is a very sweet girl... but I really subscribe to see you and Stewart, your home and garden. I do love when you take us to Johns garden and other venues... but you are there. If Leah gets a channel I may join her. ALso , As neat as the sunglass organizer is.... at 72 I do not have any friends or family who own 15 pair of sunglasses.
Amen Liane! Leah does not have a TV voice or personality. I wouldn't follow her as she reminds me of the teacher who flips furniture. Nagging quality to her voice.
