I remember when this series came out. This series was single handily the first time I ever heard of Paramotors and also what showed me that this was something I could do. Now 6 years later (5 years after my own training), This has been life changing. Thank you FliteTest for introducing me (and so many) to this wonderful sport.
Selling off all my RC stuff to get into PPG. I was taking fixed wing ultralight lessons but even an ultralight plane is expensive compared to this. Got a wing to kite... just need a motor and some more training. Awesome!
I so glad you guys expressed why kiting is so much fun, and how it gains your sensitivity on what the wing is doing whilst you are flying and makes you better pilot in long run.
I flew with paragliders for years now, and always thought you all would love it for the shear accessibility and fun that it gives, glad to see you give it a go! Also try sailing if you have the occasion!
Awesome video, been watching Tucker Gott fly one of these and peaked my interest in it. I'm to old to do that but it's so interesting watching you guys learn the skills involve in doing that. You have my total respect. You talk the talk and walk the walk. Great video's
KEY POINT, dial in with an expert instructor, one of the hardest things for new students to figure out is determining who the expert instructors are before plunking down their tuition dollars! Believe me all paragliding and or PPG instructs are not the same. I'm sure the guys you hooked up with will take good care of you. Fortunately you guys from from Flite Test have a wing up with your strong fundamental understanding of aviation principals. No its not a safe sport but you already know this having experience as a fixed wing pilot, its a risk management deal without a doubt. As we always say safe landings to all and have the blast of your lives out there men! When you get done with the whole PPG training give non-powered paragliding a shot as well.
Thanks for your videos on this, I stumbled across them a couple months ago and they convinced be to sign up at AviatorPPG. On intermission before the evening class, just got to do my own kiting for the first time this morning!
Hey guys how's it going Chris De Brusk here you guys should take one of your P80 Tiger motors and of coarse one of those absolutely stunning 20 inch carbon fibre props and design a 3-D printed para motor and tie it all the gather along with maybe one of the training kites you used in your weekend training session while you were learning to para motor I think the three together would give you a relatively decent flying machine perhaps use a child size mannequin as your pilot
Okay, I'm hooked. Your r/c vids landed me on your paramotor vid, that led to Tucker's and now I'm obsessed! Going to have to get some lessons soon. I was checking out equipment and ran across an E-motor with 4 props and immediately thought of you guys and that huge quadcopter you built and posted. Have you guys thought about making a E-paramotor like that? Is it possible to put together a package that with batteries would be manageable and give 150 lbs of thrust for a reasonable budget? If so, what motors (750-775's?) and props might you use. Just curious.
love this....i've loved flying my 30sqft parra-kite for about 5 years, this has to be my next step as i am completley the wrong shape to wear a wet-suit and stap a board to my feet :-)
This is so awesome. It is great to see you guys having so much fun. On the other hand, I have to admit that, if you continue on posting paramotor stuff, I am gonna start this hobby too because it looks like so much fun :D Keep it up, it is a blast to see your Progress. Hopefully we can meet at some time in the near future!!
I kind of feel like some people (certainly not everyone) could teach themselves to fly by using videos. I've taught myself some other new abilities with RUclips and Internet forums. Edit, I didn't teach myself, someone or many someone's taught me, just not in person. We live in an awesome point in time where just about anything is just a few clicks away and we carry it in our pockets. Don't get me wrong this isn't something to take lightly but with enough information from videos you could be orders of magnitude safer than just buying one online and figuring it out on your own.
Just before the safety police flame me let me clarify. I shouldn't have used the term "teach themselves". More like an online course. If a company who does trainings were able to release a video course where people could watch and rewatch and practice the lessons wherever they live on their own and on their time frame I think it could be just fine. It could even be used in conjunction with an in person "certification" at the end before moving on.
completely agree with you here. more like a self paced correspondence course using the vast amount of knowledge on the intertubes to learn a new skill. i have learned many things including wiring up my new house with electric (which can kill you just as fast if you fail to learn the basics first). just take a look at how big the National Electric Code is and why. not everyone has the capacity to learn like this, but those who are serious (and not set to earn a darwin award) will learn as much as they can before they ever try to launch. its not that we wouldn't want to speed up our learning with some professional instruction, but the price of entry is just too high for many people who then opt to learn on their own at a slower but methodical pace.
Awesome stuff! Love watching your guys journey.
Tucker Gott agreed
Tucker your my fav PPG pilot ;*
Who else found this while looking at tucker's vids
Tucker, i found you because of Flitetest comments one day. Someone mentioned u and then Flitetest got into paramotoring. Thats pretty cool lol
Tucker Gott LOVE YOUR VIDS TUCKER I am your 1,527th biggest fan!!!!! Pls link up with Flite test

How do you spell ninjas? It's spelled S, because ninja is always silent.
Can't wait to start taking lessons myself! This has become my new goal in life!
Moraren I’m the same except I’m too young so I can’t get a job to make money for it.
good luck guys, i hope you are all doing well and will pass through with flying colors.
Brings me back to my PPG ground school days about 8 years ago with Wayne Mitchler. Love it!

Already on their waitlist for training. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!
Stoked to have you :)

That looks like real fun.
Good show Folks! Even with only hints of the training at the Aviator PPG outfit. I was impressed with their program. Anyone breathless?
cool video. I'm starting my lessons tomorrow.

I'm ordering the blue angels jet this week, where can I buy leds and fiberglass? I just want to leave them on during flight
You dudes are gonna make great ppg pilots, I can tell.
Super exciting!
Love you guys!
Is there a part two coming?
How much wind was needed to get the wing to fly? Looked like quite a calm day but seemed to have no problem getting it to inflate and stay flying.?
love your videos!! keep doing what your doing.
Do you guys have a video on how you guys started this channel?
Really good video - like where you are taking the channel. Can't wait to see you fly.
Is that anything like paranormal kiting?
lol Austin looks like a woodpecker on that chair!
This is what your new subscribers from the PPG community/wannabes have been waiting for!
;)
What are those little mini wings they were playing with?
Haha nm, 8:22 lol
Paragliding without a motor is a true blast!
Tucker Gott Rocks

you guys are nuts!...although i watched the vid of the rc para and this may help make that work :)
very therapeutic, I land sail with my ozone all day either on a beach or a park.... cheap way to feel it....
Thanks for the amazing video. When will the Gremlin come out
I wish I could find a used set-up. I wanna learn this sport very badly!!
Don't worry about equipment yet, focus on training first!
*Dean Eldridge, This guy could be remembered, passed away in 2015, was champion paramotor*
Yes New video
love this....i've loved flying my 30sqft parra-kite for about 5 years, this has to be my next step as i am completley the wrong shape to wear a wet-suit and stap a board to my feet :-)
How old do you have to be to fly a paramotor
You got so much field there, they should winch you up in a PG!
Just wait ;)
hey at 2:02 in what is that sphere sitting still in the sky above green/white chute ??????
122bigbamboo it's a drone/quadcopter for aerial videos
Thank heavens I thought we were getting invaded lol ...

Are these guys anarchists? If so, I'm sold!
Did he say Bugger? Thats so AUSSIE hahahaha...
First you flight some rc paramotors now you can fly real life!!! Is just too crazy to watch you guys
Like your teacher said... you will never be the same guy once you know how to fly...
Ain't that the truth!!
4:20 LMAO XD
can paraplegics do this?
george aura what kind of limb loss we talking cause you could do this with a trike if you have no legs.
Absolutely. I've seen it done.
Definitely looks worth the money, now I just need to figure out how the heck I'm going to get 15 days straight to spend there lol
I wish I had the time, money and place to be trained to do this. I'm a major in aviation at MSU denver so all my money is going there
pick up one or two of the giat race quads motors and build a human size paramotor
Awesome and yes 13 commet
You guys need anyone to test your equipment?
I'm down to be your lab rat, if you are down with it.
i want to do this so f'ing bad, i 've had flying dreams since i was a kid, and from what i've learned about paramotoring its the closest thing.
it's like balance a stick on your finger
I'm really surprised that you guys haven't flown kites as children.
RC ?
what happened to Peter?
he had to go back and help at his parents restaurant. he has his own channel now
oh, thanks for the information.

One of these things gave me a concussion
your content would looks spectacular in 4k. just sayin...
I want to do this but it's WAY to expensive I'd rather buy a utv or dirtbike
You ready man? *shakes head no* "Oh yeah I'm so excited" lol information overload got these kiddies nervous.
Please please please tell my wife to let me do this.
You can do it!
Just tell her it is this or a motorcycle, and with this you don't have left-hand turners trying to kill you!
Now do it over water with a wakeboard
