  • First Ride of my new Triumph Bonneville Bobber, Gold Line, complete with forward controls.
Never owned a "cruiser" before, but something about that Bobber style just drew me in, to my eyes it's such a great looking bike. I am very impressed with the overall fit and finish and the attention to detail, the paint finish is also exceptional.
As for the ride, it is surprisingly fun with a great soundtrack.

Lovely bike, but the dog at the end is the real star here

How tall are you and how comfortable (or not) were the forward controls for you?

I am 6ft 2 inches, so far I find the forward controls really comfortable👍

I just got a bobber black and want to get the fwd control kit fitted to it. How is the handle bar positioning with fwd controls?

Oh nice, love the Bobber Black. I find the handlebar position just fine with the forward controls, but having the feet more forward does make you feel a bit more raked out in the upper body, it kinda feels sporty though, rather than uncomfortable👍

Latte or flat white when you ride it to the cafe 😂

Indeed! Or a fine English Ale in country pub😉

I have an XSR900 and a bobber. The XSR to go for a thrap and the bobber to cruise. You may find a sweet spot with the bobber. They don’t like being pushed too hard. Remember it’s a cruiser. Not a sport bike

I still fancy the XSR900, I agree it would pair well with the Bobber (maybe next year...🤔). I am really enjoying the Bobber, but I agree that pushing it too hard is kinda missing the point. It feels most enjoyable being ridden at 40 or 50% pace.

    Seat comfort?

So far, I'm finding it really comfortable. The cupping shape is very supportive, I haven't done any really long rides yet, but I don't anticipate any issues with the seat from my initial impressions
