The black hawk is an extremely durable, and probably my favorite, helicopter. The fact that you couldn't really damage it at all was a bit unrealistic but overall pretty accurate. And the "bombs" aren't really bombs. They are fuel pods- so they are still explosive!
The only thing BeamNG needs now is exploding vehicles so I can re-create all my favorite 80s action movie moments

i could probably see James Bond doing something like this, having a suicide driver while Bond is being in the back of the truck with a Uzi, with the helicopter being his enemy escaping and then the truck CRASHES into the helicopter almost making Bond fall off the cliff but then he grabs onto the helicopter landing gear getting high enough to shoot his enemy in the helicopter and jump off and deploy a jet pack just before he goes off the cliff and loses control entirely,

This is a classic so glad his channel survived all these years
There is no point to watching this. Because every time he hits the copter, he doesn't show the fall. He resets after 30 seconds. It's like in GTA IV when you die and there's cars on fire around you, but it cuts to black before you see any explosions.
It's like you're at a birthday party but you only get a tiny piece of cake before your family takes it and then bakes a whole new cake for 20 minutes while sometimes burning the cake.
I'm here for crash physics, dude, not to watch you set up crash physics and then reset 5 seconds after the very start of crash physics.

This video would be 100% better if it was only 1 demonstration of a truck hitting a helicopter and not a half an hour, more like 30 seconds.

Babby Babbyson Nothing is stopping you from just watching one collision, but it would definitely be FAR worse with only a single collision because that would just be a lazy video that takes like 1 minute of effort to make, whereas this one shows a variety of possible collisions to test the idea as thoroughly as possible.

+ShamanMafia 400 tries in under 30 minutes is pretty efficient if you ask me. There is every collision possible with 400 attempts. From light scratches to direct hits because 400 direct hits would be dull, it's much better to have a variety.

Those big pods on the sides aren't bombs, there's very few helicopters that would use bombs, I think maybe back in the early days they tried but now a days planes deliver that payload, they fly much higher to give it time to guide. Those pods are however fuel pods, so they would still explode, but they are just to increase the range of the helo.
They are fuel pods, filled with JP8, which is actually quite difficult to ignite in liquid form. Especially with it being in an enclosed bladder. You'd need more than a rocket truck slamming into it, however the rocket exhaust could easily ignite it.
Exactly, they aren't bombs as he said, I just wanted to make sure he knew they're fuel pods not bombs or rocket pods.
Oh wait you were talking about the exploding part, I've heard of those pods igniting from a hard impact when dropped, similar to the ones F-16s use, and no I'm not talking about Behind Enemy Lines, my father was a Vietnam vet and his unit saw a fuel pod dropped that went into a cliff side and exploded. That of course was in the late sixties so I don't know how the design compares if it compares, it was dropped off a Huey if I remember correctly.

No disrespect to your father, I'm in Korea with the F-16 as in right now this very moment. the F-16 didnt even exist until the very last year of Vietnam. JP-8 didn't exist until 1990. So, if your father flew an F-16 in Vietnam, he is extremely lucky, but, I am not sure what fuel they used in Vietnam, it may have been JP-5 which is extremely volatile and can explode under given conditions, but modern jet fuel (JP-8) is incredibly stable.
If you must know the movie 'Behind enemy Lines' was about a navy aircraft, an F-18 to be exact. But modern fuel tanks are designed to not explode if they are dropped or even given rare conditions. As a matter of fact, a few months ago we had a pilot who recieved a low oil pressure warning, and dropped his external tanks. Those tanks missed a children's school full of children by about 150 yards. That aircraft was impounded for about 2 months.
The CE squadron had to go out recover the tanks and dig up all the fuel that soaked into his land.
He was infantry, I referenced the F-16 just for the fact that they use fuel pods frequently, that are jettisoned once empty. In Vietnam he saw a Huey drop two external tanks which slapped into the side of a mountain/cliff and exploded presumably from hitting rocks. The thing I'm not sure about is how those pods compare to ones on newer aircraft like the F-16, they may have been metal tanks filled with fuel as that's cost efficient, the new ones are far more likely to have safety features to prevent this, that's why I suggested they could explode, but upon further thought the story of them exploding was dated so I don't know how the technology compares, if it is comparable, they may be so much more advanced because of newer technology.

15:00 Those aren't bombs on the Blackhawk they are fuel tanks, UH-60s are utility helicopters and don't carry freefall ordnance. They are just shaped like that to make them more aerodynamic and can be dropped in case of emergency, but they wouldn't have enough explosive power to even be effective as bombs.
9:20 WhyBeAre Bro, when the sudden forward motion of the jets kicks in, the suspension bottoms out. On even terrain, that'd be fine, but for the ramp, it has separate surface nodes for each increment level of boards. As such, when the truck bottoms out that hard, pieces that weren't meant to are forced under the terrain or in this case, boards. It then catches those pieces, resulting in what happened to you.
