Honestly, I want the debit cards back from ACCF because I’m tired of running around back and forth to try and get money to buy stuff when my pockets are already full. And more stacking? Like with the fruit? That’d be great too.
I had a squirrel in animal crossing named Sheldon, and he was my best friend, I would really enjoy the phone idea because you could finally be able to see your best friend in animal crossing once they've moved!
Villager interaction is one of the weakest parts in the series I hope they improve in the new one. Magician's quest had a lot of awesome ways you can interact and ways the villagers interact with each other with gossip and hanging out at venues. Definitely my number one hope they improve
Man, Magician’s Quest was such a trip. Somehow managed to be completely different from AC while being basically the same. I remember it was one of those random games I picked up on a whim back when I was way younger, and played the heck out of it

It would be cool if you could download your friends' towns and visit them when you're offline. Switch is portable so it makes sense to me. Maybe have a gift basket next to the bus or train stop for items to give them when you go online again. Be neat, but that's just my opinion.
I always felt that animal crossing should have slightly bigger towns. It always felt a bit crowded and you couldn’t make all of the public work projects you wanted to in new leaf because they would take up too much room. Also, it took me like 30 minutes to find a perfect place for my house, and in about a month of playing, 2 VILLAGERS MOVED IN D I R E C T L Y IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE AND ARE STILL THERE TO THIS DAY I also thought bigger houses would implement a yard. I also thought having a terrace or a balcony would be awesome. Loved the video pbg, TORTIMER MUST DIE. P.S. only OGs know pbgs kitty cat girlfriend. Hope you get Mitzi in your town in the switch version

Most of the times it only means you are the first member of the society of the company.

What if... You have an option at the start of the game to choose a job (work at Nook's, deliver mail, be the mayor, etc.) And then during the game you can have change that job in certain situations. You could even do something where the other villagers could have jobs or even start businesses! It may be kind of hard to program, but it could add a lot to the world-building.
I gotta say, that sounds like a bit much to me. I study video game design (I'm still new, though. Not an expert) and I should mention that the programming probably wouldn't be too bad, but the amount of design work going into that would be tremendous, and even game-breaking. What happens when a villager with a business wants to leave? Or if they don't leave, what if the player doesn't want them? How could they possibly create unique business ideas for every villager? I also feel that having to choose a job from the beginning and stick with it is a little restrictive. I could see the player participating in part-time work at will, like with the Roost in New Leaf. Anyway, Nintendo likes to surprise us, though, so it could always happen :)

An idea I had years ago was what if you get more than one town. Like you play as a kind of overseer for specific region that has, lets say, three towns in it. At the beginning you choose one to live in and maybe later you are able to buy a house in the other towns. One (and probably only) task could be to assist the mayors of the towns. With that you would have the mayor function from New Leaf. Last part of the idea, the big fishing and bug catching events would be competitions between the towns and whoever wins get a special bonus, like higher chance for rare fish/bugs, until the next event.
I would love to have Isabelle as the Mayor, she really deserves it. I want to be just a normal villager again, but with the ability to go into her office and ask her to build stuff for me.

Stemming off this idea, I'd like to see room mates! It's kind of sad to me that all the animals live by themselves. Imagine if when animals move out, they can visit and maybe they can stay with another villager for a few days, or maybe move in as a room mate if they have enough things in common. It could be a quest for you to find another villager with enough common interests for them to enjoy living together.

I really like the idea of being able to call villagers who have moved out! However I have an addition to this idea: What if instead of having the phone in your house you can unlock another business to have in your town/Main Street kinda like in New Leaf. The new business is a little call center where you can go and make video calls to villagers and talk to them and stuff. It would be so super cute and it could include new NPCs who are (wait for it) LITTLE TINY TELEPHONE OPERATORS!

Y'know, I was one of those people who was incredibly happy to see how nice the villagers were in New Leaf (because I'm a big baby who feels terrible when I let pixelated villagers down), but I have to agree about the lack of variety. I specifically remember when Robin, a "snooty" villager, moved into my New Leaf town, I was excited because she was such a snob in the original. Only... even she was overall nice and sweet. It made me miss the sass that the original game had. Also, I do think that the idea of calling villagers back into your town kinda goes against the vibe of a game (moving into a new town with new people, etc...) but at the same time, you can kind of already do that with the Welcome Amiibo update anyway. I could see Nintendo expanding that so that you don't need the amiibo cards at all and you can call them back somehow.

I would say let you break rocks and have them respawn over time (sorta like Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley) but I dunno how far into Bokujou Monogatari territory Nintendo wants to get with the new release (I wouldn't mind at all if it ended up being an Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon mash-up of some sort, but I imagine a lot of fans feel differently.
@@xijinping4418 only reason I don't think they'd do it that way is cause of the money and ore rocks every day. If you could essentially have 0 rocks in your town cause you destroyed them all and it takes x days to recover, you wouldn't get the money rock. Then the ore rocks already kinda do that
I think it'd be cool if every villiger had a specific number and so you can potentially call the number of anyone you had the number for, and maybe even add a phone book item to the game (maybe throw in special numbers too) and you could call them up to chat or maybe invite them over to your town. If you ring them and they dont know you maybe they could give a confused reply or think your a prank caller or something and maybe occasionally actually form a friendship with you like that. It's honestly I pretty dang cool idea and has a lot of expansion room. Of course it's unlikely since it would remove the need for amiibo cards. Maybe this could even be a way to add cheats back into the game (the gamecube one had cheats) Ahh pipe dreams

I think it would be cool if they made new games in a warioware style. Especially if they sold an all-in-one package on the eShop as its own thing. Like, they're free if you can collect them, but you could also just buy them to play separately if you wanted. Like a $5 thing.

Like you could build new sign posts, and for those who think choosing where villagers can live gives you too much power you could be asked if you want to place them yourself or make it random. So you could pick yourself, or just let the game do it for you. Or just make it so villagers can’t move in over flowers/trees/paths.

Im 1000% down for all of these. My issue with the mayor thing is that it felt really restrictive. I didnt like how it felt like I had to do all these things to make my town really great, I just wanna grow flowers and catch bugs to sell on the black market. Isabelle is already the mayor so might as well make it official. Id love to have yards too! Animal Crossing has remained almost unchanged over its many years and I love the phone idea, the Isabelle as mayor idea, more interactive items would be AWESOME. Id love to have a working bath and shower that I can actually use. Hell, id even love an option to do laundry! Honestly all these ideas are killer and Id love to see them all implemented in some way.

On the balls thing: Around the map certain balls spawn, e.i. Soccer ball, basket ball, volley ball. And you can grab one and go talk to a villager, if your holding a ball and talk to a villager your good enough friends with you can play a sports mini game with the villager depending on what ball you picked up

Oh and finally, let any town projects get funded by the people over time! No longer should YOU fund EVERYTHING! Each day villagers will put money in at different times. Make them happy and help them; so later they'd pay more money because they like what you do. Also what caddi said, add some mean villagers; that have them do things like steal stuff or attack peoplw with a net and as you try to fix it; you find out WHY they do it. It's called: Character development nintendo! :D

What if...
You have an option at the start of the game to choose a job (work at Nook's, deliver mail, be the mayor, etc.) And then during the game you can have change that job in certain situations. You could even do something where the other villagers could have jobs or even start businesses! It may be kind of hard to program, but it could add a lot to the world-building.

I gotta say, that sounds like a bit much to me. I study video game design (I'm still new, though. Not an expert) and I should mention that the programming probably wouldn't be too bad, but the amount of design work going into that would be tremendous, and even game-breaking. What happens when a villager with a business wants to leave? Or if they don't leave, what if the player doesn't want them? How could they possibly create unique business ideas for every villager? I also feel that having to choose a job from the beginning and stick with it is a little restrictive. I could see the player participating in part-time work at will, like with the Roost in New Leaf.
Anyway, Nintendo likes to surprise us, though, so it could always happen :)

An idea I had years ago was what if you get more than one town. Like you play as a kind of overseer for specific region that has, lets say, three towns in it. At the beginning you choose one to live in and maybe later you are able to buy a house in the other towns. One (and probably only) task could be to assist the mayors of the towns. With that you would have the mayor function from New Leaf.
Last part of the idea, the big fishing and bug catching events would be competitions between the towns and whoever wins get a special bonus, like higher chance for rare fish/bugs, until the next event.

I really like the idea of being able to call villagers who have moved out! However I have an addition to this idea: What if instead of having the phone in your house you can unlock another business to have in your town/Main Street kinda like in New Leaf. The new business is a little call center where you can go and make video calls to villagers and talk to them and stuff. It would be so super cute and it could include new NPCs who are (wait for it) LITTLE TINY TELEPHONE OPERATORS!

Y'know, I was one of those people who was incredibly happy to see how nice the villagers were in New Leaf (because I'm a big baby who feels terrible when I let pixelated villagers down), but I have to agree about the lack of variety. I specifically remember when Robin, a "snooty" villager, moved into my New Leaf town, I was excited because she was such a snob in the original. Only... even she was overall nice and sweet. It made me miss the sass that the original game had.
Also, I do think that the idea of calling villagers back into your town kinda goes against the vibe of a game (moving into a new town with new people, etc...) but at the same time, you can kind of already do that with the Welcome Amiibo update anyway. I could see Nintendo expanding that so that you don't need the amiibo cards at all and you can call them back somehow.

I think it'd be cool if every villiger had a specific number and so you can potentially call the number of anyone you had the number for, and maybe even add a phone book item to the game (maybe throw in special numbers too) and you could call them up to chat or maybe invite them over to your town. If you ring them and they dont know you maybe they could give a confused reply or think your a prank caller or something and maybe occasionally actually form a friendship with you like that.
It's honestly I pretty dang cool idea and has a lot of expansion room.
Of course it's unlikely since it would remove the need for amiibo cards.
Maybe this could even be a way to add cheats back into the game (the gamecube one had cheats)

Im 1000% down for all of these. My issue with the mayor thing is that it felt really restrictive. I didnt like how it felt like I had to do all these things to make my town really great, I just wanna grow flowers and catch bugs to sell on the black market. Isabelle is already the mayor so might as well make it official. Id love to have yards too! Animal Crossing has remained almost unchanged over its many years and I love the phone idea, the Isabelle as mayor idea, more interactive items would be AWESOME. Id love to have a working bath and shower that I can actually use. Hell, id even love an option to do laundry! Honestly all these ideas are killer and Id love to see them all implemented in some way.

Around the map certain balls spawn, e.i. Soccer ball, basket ball, volley ball. And you can grab one and go talk to a villager, if your holding a ball and talk to a villager your good enough friends with you can play a sports mini game with the villager depending on what ball you picked up
Before you unsub from PBG, think for a moment and answer honestly, what would you do if one of your best friends got accused of pedophilia BEFORE any proof was published. If you acually did answer honestly, you should have no reason to hate PBG.

Instead of NES games you should be able to collect Wiis that each have a WiiWare title on it since we can't buy those anymore. ExciteBike, Snowpack Park, Pokemon Rumble, etc. I know it'll never happen...but it'd be cool.

Personally I'd love weasel villagers. Ferrets, otters, skunks, badgers, etc. Maybe an underwater town with aquatic villagers? Or a spooky one with bats, snakes, and spiders?

I thought I was weird for wanting meaner villagers back, I always thought it was so funny and gave them more personality. I'm glad I'm not the only one!!
Oh and finally, let any town projects get funded by the people over time! No longer should YOU fund EVERYTHING! Each day villagers will put money in at different times. Make them happy and help them; so later they'd pay more money because they like what you do.
Also what caddi said, add some mean villagers; that have them do things like steal stuff or attack peoplw with a net and as you try to fix it; you find out WHY they do it. It's called: Character development nintendo! :D
