I always look forward to your vids mate . I'm from England like your good self and I'm really envious of you living in Canada ....mega place ! You and your North American mates will have to do the Mega Avalanche race one year .....that would make some epic videos . Think of it as the Top of the world trail in Whistler plus a shit load more !
I was wondering if you were joining Mr beast and Mark rohber (don't know how to spell his last name) and alot of other you tubers on #teamtree. ruclips.net/video/U7nJBFjKqAY/видео.html They are trying to save the environment by planting 20 million trees
Le Pleney is a beast!!! I remember that trail like yesterday...from 6 years ago! A little bit intimidating but one you are used to the steepness is very fun and very rewarding to ride. At 11:50 that place is steep as hell!Nice videos!!!
Nah, letting go of the brakes is for begginers. Try to stay on rooty-rocky lines while riding at minumum speed (with breaking) without standing off of the bike! ))
That first "blue trail" is pretty awesome. It's an insane enduro line that makes the actual blue trail 5x shorter and steeper.Actually there are about 10 lines down to the road which are all insanely steep. It is the steepest terrain i've ever ridden for sure... Morzine is way to bike-parky when you see it at first. Until you discover the insane natural lines that are just off the blue and green family trails. Morzine is pretty awesome in an otherwise quite boring area (port du soleil). Great video Paul, wish I could ever shred that black trail like that...
Dude! That was sick! I’m playing catch-up watching all your videos, lol! It was awesome riding with you this past weekend! Looking forward to the next time my friend! Cheers!🍻
The videostates off great with the rally cars. Probably should have shown more of the WRC than the “dull local “let’s just go straight down””. I was just about to turn the brain dump off when when chick who rocks makes a cameo. She shows him the happy trails which lead to a orgy of bikes cutting each other off in fun proper bike etiquette fashion! Thoroughly enjoyed
Haha remember the 10%er from 15 years ago and when I took my hardtail. Was a laugh. I was on a GF GED dirt jump bike and those big 2" rims on like 3" tires since didn't have rear suspension. Was epic to ride!
The second part of the red is better than the first, but i think you missed that out and headed right to go an find one of those hidden trails in the woods, i think the second green(not really) is called Piste lizard, or something like that.
Another great vid Paul! We're going Morzine next year so this is really helping, espesially the different trails! BTW Paul what equipment are you using? eg gopro x, what gimbal, what audio? Did you have a vid on this, I can't seem to find one? Cheers bud.
I feel like that whenever you stall or creep down a hill, it's because you're not looking ahead but right in front of your wheel. Could that be? (I know! It's easy to sit on the couch commenting on other people's riding. Just trying to help. 😉)
@@m.perfekt3055 ever since THAT video, I'm listening to music on the descents that I can actually sing or humm along with. Definitely takes off the edge on a few scary sections.
I am way late but the red trail of the pleney use to be a black one. They change it to a red but the track didn't change much. And well for the green and the blue that definitely not the real track 😂
Ooo maybe! But perhaps I'm not that narcissistic just yet haha (read comfortable talk about myself). But check out my 'Why I left Pinkbike' video, that has some bits in it.
Watched a few of your videos, and I really enjoy your content, editing and filming. What I don't like is watching you stop dead in the middle of a single track, often after the steepest descends or tightest corners. You might be filming with a crew and know that there are none riders right behind you, but your style of stopping in steep trails like this might make others do the same thing. Remember, especially when you are on new trails you are taking it slow and learning the trail. Others might come rushing down and not be able to stop, run you over, or need to steer into a tree or whatever. Pls don't ride like that on public trails.
No one needs to be told how to ride mate. Dont say 'ahh well I'm just telling him this in case he didn't know' he knows. The gopro is a warped perspective and could tell you things that arent true, such as 'this trail isnt very steep' and 'he stopped in the middle of the trail'.
@@PaulThePunter You turned me onto "The Polarity" which I love! Thank you so much for creating great content and accidentally introducing me to an awesome band.
I'm not hating but ok we get it, it's steep, you're riding a world cup class downhill bike, it's gonna be ok if it's steep with few holes and roots.....
@@PaulThePunter No, I mean I know there is the gopro effect, but you know how to ride these things, you have a crazy good bike, don't be so intimidated !

sorry paul i just have to say it, let go of the brakes 😅
PH Local Trails
I get what you mean but in his defense I think the trail is much steeper irl than it looks here on go pro.
@@themagicillusions actually the secret of the off piste stuff is to keep off the brakes . It's brilliant fun

If he didn't crash on those lines he probably didn't brake to much. That trail at the beginning is REALLY steep.
I am actually salivating on how technical and nice those trails are. Wow!
Its always fun chasing someone better than yourself. Great job Paul!
Sure is!
Dude you crack me up!!! Love your vids and always look forward to more. I don't get to watch all of them but I try to watch what I can!!!
Thanks a bunch my friend, means a lot.

Looks like the gopro effect takes away a big part of the nature of these trails
Haha yup, there are some bits that look steep though.
That massive train was crazy insane!! 🤘🏻
Super steep white knuckle stuff! Good work 🤟
Cheers 👌👍
For someone if you just bumped into the street would never believe that you ride mountain bikes like you do. some awesome shredding dude.
That looked like so much fun; especially that last bit.
Epic train at the end 🤘💪.... look fwd to your next vid ..... where ever it is!

Great vid Paul !
Thanks boss!
The roots on that green trail look about the same as some of our UK black trails lol
That green was the rootiest trail I’ve ever seen. Betcha it’s fun when wet!
I'll gladly show you around a Place called Samoens next summer . Just down the road from Morzine .....some really sketchy trails !
Yup I've been there, but never ridden there! Maybe if I end up in the alps again, but I doubt it for this year. Thanks though!
I don't hear you singing Paul! ;
Classic
5:50 that's a freeride called pist lizard and absolutely not an official track or a green one..
Pleney red trail is a killer when it is wet.
Paul needs to come to the US and ride Windrock. That would be a grand video!
......soon....
What an amazing place! Great video!
I love all the trails in morzine especially the black

Today I learned what "B roll" is. The more you know.... By the way I'm loving how quiet your Gambler is over the rough stuff.
Every day is a school day. And the gambler is quiet every day :)
not gonna lie...I wouldn't mind seeing a little more of that b-roll :D
Incredible trails though!
I agree Paul, not a fan of the red one on the Pleney side. The black is much better in my opinion.
And with that, a big thumbs up!
Did you get a chance to do Forest of Doom on Les Gets? It peels off the main red just after the road half way down Les Gets, totally worth a go!

Haha we’ve all been there at some point.
Paul, you always seem to be enjoying yourself in the vids. I like to think i do the same even if just pissing about in the local woods 👍
That’s all it is :) this was a fun time for sure!
Jesus some serious riding in the end great worl

Hey paul, when did you film this ?? At the moment, Morzine is closed isn’t it ?

4:44 ride here every year, never heard of that, and chatel has like 8 on the same side sooo

That Georgie girl sends!
Does Georgie have a RUclips or anything?
I get the brakes on the steep stuff but you are always on them even on flat ground
Ah man the dirt looks so good compared to the pea gravel we have...
Now i know where the term "french line" comes from...
Hahaha yup
I think Paul’s vids get the views they do because of the constant laughing and hooting during riding. It reaffirms there is life outside the cube.
Yes the cube - I'm out here! 😂
