  • WALK AROUND THE RESORT CITY OF KUSADASI. THE AEGEAN SEA IN ALL ITS BEAUTY!
    Hello! I am Alista.
    Today I'm taking you on a journey to the shores of the Aegean Sea! The video turned out to be long, but while watching it, you will walk along the truly most iconic streets and places of the city: along the market street and bar street, visit the marina with cruise ships and the promenade, walk to the fortress on a nearby island and visit the most famous beach in this city: 'Ladies Beach'! Below I tell you in general terms about the city.
    Kusadasi is so far a little-known and practically unvisited resort on the Aegean Sea of Turkey by Russian-speaking tourists, at the same time being a favorite resort and vacation spot ... quite unexpectedly ... of the Irish! Why did the Irish love this small port resort town of Turkey so much?
    First of all, it is a historical and very picturesque city where you can visit and see many interesting places and sights. The city itself is located in the province of Aydin and is quite small: the population is a little over 110 thousand, but in the midst of the summer months, thanks to the influx of tourists, it becomes several times larger (there are rumors that the number reaches a million)!
    The sea facade of Kusadasi is the Guzelcamli embankment with the monument to Ataturk and numerous cafes. A wide dam connects it with the small island of Guvercin with a powerful defensive wall and a 15th century fortress. Once the island was the military base of the famous Turkish corsair Barbarossa, who terrified the entire Mediterranean, and the fortress was a repository of looted treasures. Now, in the harbor of Kusadasi, wooden schooners under a pirate flag are rocking on the waves, and their captains in Jack Sparrow costumes invite tourists for boat trips.
    But long before Barbarossa, the island was chosen by pigeons. Hence the name Kusadasi - in translation "pigeon". The "bird" theme is actively present at the resort - in the details of lanterns, sculptures and numerous dovecotes, some of which are over 100 years old.
    There are many long sandy beaches with crystal clear turquoise water of extraordinary beauty, which you will not see even in Antalya. The sea here is shallow, which is convenient for those who are not very good swimmers, although it is worth warning that there are often strong waves here. But, for example, in Antalya you can also often see waves, and the sea is much deeper on almost all beaches, so the Mediterranean Sea is more suitable for experienced swimmers. There is also a bay in Kusadasi, where yachts and luxury cruise ships anchor (they bring tourists from Italy, Greece and even America). At the same time, the climate here is milder - in the midst of summer there is no sweltering heat like in Antalya. Accordingly, the local weather is suitable for long holidays, holidays with children or the elderly.
    If you are interested in history, then Kusadasi is a convenient starting point for exploring the great cities of antiquity: Ephesus, Pamukkale, Didyma, Miletus, Priene, Troy, Izmir, Dilek National Park with an abundance of flora and fauna, etc. And if you have a Schengen visa, you can visit the Greek island of Samos.
    In addition, so far it is a relatively inexpensive city. Prices in hotels and inns, restaurants, cafes, shops and markets are lower than in many other popular cities in Turkey. This also applies to renting and buying a home - here you can profitably rent or buy an excellent apartment or villa. Hurry before the Irish buy them all!
    What can you do in Kusadasi? There are many options: scuba diving, you can visit the largest water park in the country, have fun in nightclubs and discos, or just relax on sandy beaches. And here you can dress-shoe literally from head to toe. Kusadasi has many shops and shopping centers with quality leather and textile products from Turkish and world brands. In addition to shoes, clothes and accessories, the top list of Turkish shopping includes home textiles, oriental sweets, spices, olive oil-based cosmetics and ceramics in all its diversity. The bill of restaurants, cafes and all kinds of fast foods in Kusadasi goes to hundreds. The best (and most expensive) of them are located along the promenade and in close proximity to the beaches.
    I wish you a pleasant holiday!

    Почему маленькая Ирландия?

    • @NadezhdaRusaleeva
      @NadezhdaRusaleeva Год назад

      Маленькая Ирландия-потому что этот город очень любят ирландцы,их там большинство.Наверное,из-за количества баров и пабов,где они отдыхают по вечерам и ночам!
