The saddest part about muddy puddy cave was they almost got him out, they were literally pulling him up out of the place he had fallen into and even made eye contact with him when the metal fastener holding the rope broke and dropped him right back in, they didn't have enough time to make a second attempt and he died due to his injuries from being dropped and from being upside down for so long.

Similar to the guy turning around and dying from his neck.
I remember one day in my neighborhood across the road there's a church with a gravel parking lot and there were some teenagers doing donuts and drifting around there and they swung into the parking lot and there was a girl who was halfway out of the passenger window of one of the cars and she was saying something in a frantic tone of voice and she went flying out of the window and the car swung around again and it hit her in the head and she flew like 3 feet away from the car and everyone stopped and I ran over to check and see if she was okay.
She sat up and she said these words "I told you to stop." As she looked at the guy who was driving the car she was in. Then she just slumped back down to the gravel and she died there with a little groan sound and I just stood there with everyone else just shook at her statement.
We called the police shortly afterwards.
The guy who was driving just sat there and cried.

I can’t think of anything more horrible than intruders coming into your house, tying you up, getting the father to comply to their demands before killing him and the rest of the innocent people. The kids would watch as slowly the babysitters and their mum were cut up and painfully slaughtered, knowing that in mere seconds that they would be the ones screaming and writhing in a painful death for no reason but money.

The Ameoba, can enter one's system throught the upper walls of the nose, and travel up to the brain, where is starts eating. The real damage is caused by our own immune system trying to kill it by releasing chemicals, which digest the brain from inside. This protozoa is not treatable and the symptoms only show up when the real damage has already been done. It can kill anyone within a week.

I used to work late nights at a gas station, and walked to my home at about midnight most nights. The main route to my home went past a rundown old house, that a landscaping business used for storage. One night, I had a man approach me from out of the thick bushes grown up around the old house, saying "Hey do I know you?" I said no, started walking again and he started moving towards me quickly. Being a slightly paranoid kinda guy, I drew the 9mm I carried and told him to back the fuck off. He screamed fuck you at me, and ran off into the night. About a year later, one of my regulars, who worked near there was going home late, getting into his car, when the same guy came up, asked him "Hey do I know you?" and when he said no, and tried to climb into his car, he hit him in the back of the head with a brick, slashed his throat, and tried to light his car on fire. Wasn't trying to rob him, just kill him. They caught him a day or so later, trying to break into a local daycare. Fortunately, my regular pulled through, and other than a scar, and a slight gruffness and pitch change to his voice, is doing fine last I heard from him. Have never been more sure in my decision to carry than after the news came out about what happened.

A note about the brain eating algae found in Texas:
It's not the only threat. We have bacteria here that is also prevalent at around the same time.
Both tend to only be a threat in particularly or perpetually calm waters in consistent heat and humidity.
If somehow you identify the problem soon enough to have it treated, it's likely you'll suffer memory loss or attitude adjustments, depression, irrationality.
A friend in highschool had a father who went swimming when my friend was ten. Two weeks later and he had zero memory of his son. Almost everything else was intact, but this algae had robbed him of a decade of bonding his own son- yet not his daughter, who was only three years older.
I find this more horrifying than the Stephen king short story about the oily mass on the lake that eats dumb college students. I'd rather be kill and eaten by a wild animal than forget my ownfamily existed.

alright so like there's people in my town selling roses for money on the sidewalk. (Keep this in mind) I was having a sleepover with my sister's friend and me. All of us were laying on the couch, and my friend's mom calls her, and she picks up. Her mom doesn't let her say anything and says, "I'm not letting you walk to Target with your friends alone anymore." then she asked why. Her mom replies with, "Because the people selling roses on 17th and other streets put a power on the roses so when you sniff then you pass out." and we're shook.
turns out they use this method to rob you and kidnap people.

10:39 You see, OP believes his life was spared that day because he had a tantrum and didn’t go. But it’s equally possible that that the robbers wouldn’t have expected four people to show up and fled, or thought they couldn’t handle that many people, or one person could’ve escaped and alerted the police.
My point is that, there are so many little things that could’ve changed the outcome entirely. There’s no use torturing yourself over what could’ve been different. I was in a car accident once. Including myself, three people were involved. We all walked away unscathed. For a week I obsessed how easily things could’ve been entirely different if I took two seconds longer or short let to count my change or tie my shoe or whatever. But eventually I thought: It doesn’t matter how I got here, I’m here now. And I never thought about the accident again.

Ok so, I actually witnessed this myself. Ghost are real, spirits are real, I've known for a long time since I was 6.
So my auntie got possessed one day. There was no screaming, there was no spider walking or anything like that, she just dropped to the floor, she was holding plates back then so we heard her from 2 rooms away. It was my grandma that possessed her, she was saying on how she missed us and that we should visit her grave once in a while, then we asked on what heaven was like, she just said it was a beautiful place. Like idk how to describe it, it was like heavens payphones for earth are humans. Cus she literally said "Sorry apo, tapos na oras ko" which translates to "Sorry my grandchild, my time is up." then everything went to normal. My auntie said that she didn't know what she was doing like she was conscious and unconscious at the same time, she heard the voices but nothing more. That day we visited my grandma's grave, the possession happened a day before her death anniversary.
(Idk if people would read this but I'm just sharing my experience)

Wouldn't call them 'scary' but I have two stories.
    1) I knew a p*dophile who used to 'take pictures' of his kids.. they were 4 & 2 at the time, two boys. Father isn't even in jail but his actions caused the 4yr old to become strangely violent and his little brother is learning from him currently. They are now 5 & 3 and moved out of town for a fresh start away from the father but 5yr old is getting more and more violent.. He keeps hitting his mother and little brother and making the mother bruise a lot, not even small bruises, bruises that cross over her whole shoulder from him hitting her. This is because of the father, being violent and teaching him from a young age. 'Scariest' thing about this is that I've slept round their house before anything was discovered and I'm actually pretty concerned there may have been photo taking while I was sleeping... It's strange because he was such a nice guy, and he used to stay up almost all night with me to play games on his xbox, we used to play Human Fall Flat or Gang Beasts and it was fun but nowadays I don't think I could ever look at him again.
    2) I don't know if I was even born yet but on the street I live on, there used to be a lovely woman with a pet dog, an Akita to be exact. The dog seemed nice around others and the owner persisted that she was a very, very friendly dog. But if you don't know, Akitas are, I'm pretty sure, bred to be aggressive (Correct me if I'm wrong). So everyone was fine with her and the owner, but there was a time where a little 5yr old girl was with her mother walking down the street, when the same Akita escaped the house, ran across the road and mauled this poor little girl to death. The dog was never put down and they moved away a long time ago.
    There those are my stories.
EDIT: The father in story one used to live on my street, but a few months back he moved back into the place where he used to live, the house that used to be lived in by the mother and children before they moved.

The first story about a guy sneaking in. One day I noticed there was a wet towel but no-one was taking showers until we started finding water dripping, the laundry running randomly and it was an ol lady who would wait for everybody to go so she could sneak in and one day, my dad backed out of the driveway and he pulled in the backyard and he saw the old lady sneaking in and he called the police. To this day we don't know who she was but I'm guessing one of the people who lived there before because she knew where EVERYTHING was.

my grandpa got conscripted into the wehrmacht and sent to the east, he got shot by a submaschine gun from infantry riding on a russian T34/76
he was infantry support for heavy artillery and they had little anti tank weapons except direct fire artillery that would shoot the tanks danger close to them
after he was shot Waffen SS troops refused carry him to a lazarett because he was of Yugoslavian descent, a prisoner of war volunteered to carry him to the lazarett - to get rid of him on the way and escape, he ditched my grandpa a few hundret meters from the lazarett, grandpa made it , got emergency syrgery to stop the bleeding in his lungs, and liver
    surgery was sucessfull
a day later the lazarett retreated and when the red army came the heavily wounded that got left behind got clubbed and bayonett speared by the red hordes
grandpa dragged himself out to the ditch where the dead from the lazarett were piled and hid amongst /underneath the bodies - a few bayonetts missed him by like 10 cm as they walked around the pit spearing the bodies laying on top
my grandpa then waited out from 1942 to 1944 at a remote abandoned logging house with a red army deserter
right before the end of the war he made his way back home in fear of being on the wrong side of the predictable iron curtain
got to cCzechoslovak border with austria, got captured by the reds sent to siberia, escaped in Ukraine and marched on foot to the black sea , took a ship up the danube, got caught by serbian tito partisans, spoke slovenian to them and got released , fled up the balkans via car stopping , crossed on foot to austria and got citizenship in 1948 after several years of hiding as immigrant and doing inofficial slave labor jobs on infrastructure projects
at that point in time he had a infection in one lung that led to it collapsing and filling with fluid
a veterinarian and former Wehrmacht medic in the town drained his lung and fixed him up
7children and 8 grandchildren wouldnt exist if he wasnt luckier than most people ever

It's not really "spooky" or "scary" but it surely terrified Me.
This did not happen to me or any one of my close family members but in around 198X-199X (My grandma can't exactly remember),
My grandmother's cousin (I got a huge family) were really into pets, she'd constantly get dogs and cats into their house and take care of them and let them go after a few days. One day, around her thighs was aching so she had my grandma to do a massage for her. After the massage, she'd constantly scratch herself every day although it was not much, my grandma had a gut feeling that she might've been sick. (My grandmother was around 12-14 at the time) The aches and the itchiness grew as days passed, there were bloody scratching marks everywhere on her body. She could not stop, so she had gone to a hospital with my grandmother's aunt. Apparently, when my Grandmother massaged her, some sort of poison/bacteria(?) released from the fur that somehow found their way into my grandmother's cousin's body which probably happened due to her, kissing and sniffing animals too much. I've researched and found out that it is called Typhoid, the medicine for it was really expensive and my grandmother was really poor at the time. Her cousin would scratch herself every day, non-stop. She could not sleep nor eat. She would just beg whoever comes into the house, to kill her on the spot. The entire neighborhood could hear her screams, and one day after the other, the screams stopped.

An enclosed space with just enough of a volume of a heavier than air gas to leave a breathable layer of oxygen at head height but a layer of nonbreathable gas closer to the ground. Kind of like the opposite of crawling out of a burning building because of the smoke filling up the structure at higher levels
