How can you not love a Grom
ruclips.net/video/oct8mSKpLEQ/видео.html
I was going to buy the blue MSX125 but i went with a CBF125.
I don't think it's possible not to... I am way too big for them, but I'm not sure it matters to me at all, they look hilarious, bet you were smiling all the way.
8:43 I couldn't help but laugh xD the elbow tuck is what did it!
pick mine up saturday, cannot wait
i say that's the quietest bike RJ has being on in a while.
"Im not vain, I have no shame" That is why youre the most respected motovlogger out there. I love your videos
Perfect city bike probably? And specially for a big busy city where you're filtering 90% of the time
Awesome to see you on a MSX/Grom RJ. :)
I'm glad that you decided to test ride one after seeing us on our ride out a few weeks ago.
Stay safe man.
It was seeing you guys that pushed me to test ride it :)
You're a legend, mate! Always put a smile on my face.
If there were more people like you the world would be a better place.
Thank you RJ, great video for a great bike! It's nice to see once again that a bike doesn't need to be very expensive, or very powerful for being awesome. Ride safe :)
I think it's normal to concentrate on BHP, size, etc, but for commuting, any bike will do and will still put a smile on your face.
RoyalJordanian Right... It should be a biker's motto : "Buy what seems you being the best, but love them all".
This is the best bike I've ever owned! I've managed to get 72mph out of mine :) I am currently saving my pennies to get some upgrades on mine.
Thanks RJ for making this vid, it shows how great this bike really is!
RI, RSMF :)
I love how you ride and describe.
And how you comunicate with people around you.
I'm 16, got an apprenticeship, plan on getting my cbt as soon as I turn 17, buying this as a first bike
same here apart from the apprenticeship lol
LingLing MemeKing you can get your CBT now at 16. I got mine a few days after I turned 16 and then bought a 50cc led. In 6 months I might buy a grom
This is probably your best filtering video. You murdered that traffic, after that if I was in a city that had traffic and could filter this is probably the fastest bike in town.
RJ you really sound like you belong in skyrim
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH SO TRUE
LMAOOOOOOOO
I consider Grom quite seriously as an alternative to my cbr600rr, which is handy as for super sport, but not as handy as msx. It looks to be perfect for city riding.
i have been eyeing this bike for the longest time. its the bike that pushed me to get a bike license. but friends have been advising me against it. no road presence, dangerous small wheels and the like. i think you just made me love it more. granted your lane splitting was scary. but what do i know. HAHA! thank you for this!
Really enjoyed that vid mate. Hope you buy one and mod it out with all kinds of goodies. The exhaust note would be the first...... it's gotta be more Royal Jordanian-esq. I believe Akrapovic makes a header pipe and slip on. Looks like good fun. I may have to buy one for a daily rider. Cheers!
Got to love the classics. 5 years already.
Still own the Grom I bought back in 2014 and still loving it!
The Chiswick dealership! That is where I got my CBR 125 (2012 model) :) Loving it, I am glad Honda is still keeping some good focus on 125s for young riders like me. Awesome video as always RJ!
Thanks for the vid RJ. I love my MSX and ride mine for commuting into Leeds each day, ride it all year. I have bigger bikes as well for the weekend, but this one makes me smile every day I get on it.
Just bought myself a KLR 650, which I really am loving. Here in Colorado, you need the extra power to get into the mountains. However, when I am in a position for a second bike, I want a GROM. They are just too cool! Ride on!
They just arrived in Vietnam, nearly bought one on impulse. US$ 3000 here. The yellow ones look the best.
can you make more test ride videos of different bikes?
Great video :) I've got an 1988 Honda Dax ST50 from my father, wich I drove for 2 years. Now i have a Ducati Streetfighter 848 :D Keep up the great videos :D
RJ even my 8 years old son like your videos he can wach them no swearing no aggression ,he like the filtering 😁👍🏼
I'm in love. Just got mine, used here in Canada for the equivalent of 1400 pounds. I'll take this out before the gsxr
There's a yellow MSX125 which is normally around Barbican during my lunch break or after work. It's a lovely little bike and his is actually really loud when revved! If you couldn't see it (you can't always!), you would mistake it for a much bigger bike.
You know its a good bikes when RJ gives it the thumbs up :)
When you mentioned this bike on your FB page I honestly thought it was a Yamaha which is why I mentioned the fact I just picked up an MT-07..turns out it's a bloody Honda! Geez I know nothing ;) .Loved the slalom filterer, slipstreaming the huge tank of a Porsche (including elbow tuck) and well all 14mins was a joy to watch
This is how I know you truly love bikes. I want a Grom too.
I've got a Yamaha YBR 125 that's seen better days and I was thinking of getting a new 125. This MSX looks great, I think I'll test ride it. Thanks RJ.
ah just fantastic looking bikes! and lots of praise from RJ awesome review mate :)
I’m hoping you reach 1 million before Christmas coz that would be a great Christmas present
if you drove like that in california, someone would swerve out of their lane to intimidate you... no joke
Torrey B The same story in Germany. Awful.
+Torrey B Same in NZ, Just gotta be ready for those asshats.
never had anyone do that in London. intact they move out of the way for bikes.
this is blanket statement you could put any city in there... like cities void stupid drivers lol.
Same in Australia
Awesome video, i love that group ride point in this video, looks soo fun :)
Nice little bike
just with one rear view mirror is even better to fit into traffic jam. I owned a skyteam monkey's replica during 5 years, in paris, with 107CC engine. 11HP for under 80kg. It was my best vehicule i ever rode, even after HD 883, Suzuki SVS 650 and two audi cabriolet : it simple, it's own the city, and it's fun. So i can't wait to get my future MSX. I already tested it when it comes out from a friend fan of honda. i can't wait to get mine, back to the basics
I adore my Honda Grom!!!!!! It's my 4th motorcycle and am having so much fun on it!!!! Dracati Ducati and Finnoctane both sent me this video! Great review and it looks perfect for getting about in London! It's a perfect bike for Hawaii as well! :D
...oh, it's because we LIKE, too !!!
;)
This is the quietest RJ video I have ever watched.
Seems like a fun little bike to have in the garage. :)
I got the Honda PCX150 Goes about the same speed as the Grom. Thinking about upgrading to the Honda CTX700N DCT. I would like to complement you for your videos. They are very good. I'm on a RJ video marathon right now. Just discovered your channel. Been watching motovloggers and some are insulting and show poor class. Thank you for quality viewing.
Ride safe,
Steph
Great bike. You can also easily slap a 145cc bore kit on it. It really makes a difference. It also works plug and play with the stock injection and stock cylinder head.
You can go higher with the cc but then you need to modify the injection and crankcase.
Also rode one, so much fun!! Though I ended up buying a PCX as my new mega fuel saving commuter bike, just way more practical.
Looks like a fun little bike to take on the back roads where I live.
Man the Grom has to be the coolest bike of the decade :)
Not long after they came out I saw one in black with all gold trim and thought it looked fantastic! Wish I had one when I was on L plates :-)
I was thinking about buying a 125 to commute to work and I considered the MSX but I was suspicious.... and then I saw..... Honda MSX125 (Grom) test drive by RoyalJordanian... now that's an everyday phrase. Thanks, I'm test driving one soon!
A Grom! I was admiring a red one at the Honda dealership while picking up some parts. Love those little things :)
Saw one of these bikes yesterday & wondered what it was. Great looking little bike!
I saw a guy riding one of these and I thought it was really cool. Awesome that I know which bike it is now. I'm off to get my hands on one!
Great video that cemented my decision to make the purchase. Can't wait to collect it tomorrow!
gotta grom myself and i 100% agree with ya RJ, the tyres are shit in the wet but i got just over 130 miles out of the little £6 tank and they do handle beautifully on the country roads... when they are dry lol
The Grom is not officially out in New Zealand yet. Watching this vid makes me want to get one.
Yea, I've seen it now.
Okay, I am so tempted to get a MC license, and now that I saw the Grom, I'm even more tempted!
Saw one of these in the parking garage at Universal Orlando a couple weeks back. Had never heard of it and thought it was cool so I grab a few picks.
Saw loads of these in Thailand. Cool looking bikes.
R J My Honda MSX is in the REPSOL colours with the orange wheels and it looks fantastic. Honda in Maidstone had it done and they had so much interest form people looking at mine, that there getting more done. Would recommend that showroom to everyone that wants one. If you want a bike that looks as good as mine go there!!!!! Speak to Chris
You should test ride a few other 125's such as the: Yamaha YZF R125, Honda CBR 125R or KTM Duke 125 ... It will benefit those who are young and new to riding and want some help buying their first motorbike. Just a thought! Love you RJ
Nice review! You should do more, you sound like a very trust worthy guy RJ
6:34 Great! I never knew it is allowed. Nice filtering! ;-)
6:52 Advantage of bike :D
Thank God I don't have to use this awfull L-plate in Poland.
was considering buying this when i was searching for a bike. Glad i chose what i did but still have a soft spot for these things they are soooo coool XD
I can understand riding it in the city going 35mph, but taking it on the highway is something I don't think I would ever do. Maybe if the MSX125 had a top speed of 80mph then maybe. I will say it is the most unique looking bike out there. There is another youtuber who said she owns three bikes and the Honda Grom gets the most attention from people.
my first bike was a Honda cb125e. Great bike but painfully slow over 60kmh. That msx looks really good.
That looks a hoot. Bet with a tune, pipe n a few other goodies its a bit of a hooligan Guess another 20mph on the top would make it a true performer able to stay up with dual carriageway traffic. Great vlog RoyalJordanian
I saw one of these parked in the same bike park as me the other day, looks like a great little bike if you do all your riding in the city! It's refreshing to see something that looks quite different from the current crop of 125s. Reasonably priced, well equipped, looks cool, could do with 70 for A roads and motorways perhaps but you can't have everything. This will sell well I'm sure :)
its crazy i think even people who hate streetbikes and harleys love groms. they are so unintimidating. im short so ive always wanted a big bike but never liked how i couldnt put both my feet on the ground. like all riders are 6 foot plus. i rode dirtbikes here and there growing up. but ya i just got a grom the other day im a noob though on the streets and on the bike since its been 20 years since i rode but i love it so far. its perfect for the city though here the mph in the city is higher then most at 50mph. so i do wish it was a little faster but it still has good torgue and decent power for what it is. i got mine for 2k us used with 1700 miles 2014 with lots of the smaller mods before it starts to get expensive so i think i got a really good deal compared to how much they are otd here. but i really think they are overpriced brand new because they got popular in the states because they turned every motorcycle under 250cc here into scooters... and this is the first 125 actual motorcycle in like 35-40 years here thats legal for the streets.
Great vid, although sad to see the Grenfell tower in the background on the flyover...who would have thought
"Yes, I am talking to myself" 😂😂👍
Haha the pigeon nearly bought it! - Good review RJ, the MSX looks a lot of fun!
That thing is amazing! a little 125 would do nicely, considering the bike is so small. I wonder what the MPG would be, probably over 100. Perfect starter bike. It even looks cool.
One of my friends has a Grom and I hade the chance to test ride it, its only been a year its been out in Canada and I have to say I agree its a lot of fun, its not powerful but that's not the point of it , its a hooligan machine lol its so light and agile and its super comfortable with a very upright seating position and Id agree on the transmission very smooth its so seamless with the lightest of click on the gear stick.
It costs 2800 pounds there RJ? Wow...I could get one for a bit more than 2000 pounds here in Hungary :) Although I'm still a student and I have a Ninja 300, I badly want one of these little bikes :) I have test ridden one as well, in full leathers, which made it even funkier, but I Ioved every second of it. No need to say that it didn't help with me wanting one :) RJ, I think you had TheSpeckyNerd in one of your Subscriber Spotlights, he has an MSX125 with a lovely exhaust, and I got to him through you...so we could say I can "blame" you for making me want it :P :) Cheers!
Also, Yuminashi will have a 210 (!) cc kit for the MSX! Considering that with their 180cc kit still in development they reached 157 km/h (obviosuly they changed the sprockets as well) I can't imagine what the 210 cc kit would do to this thing....Surely a bike to surprise people! Still, in its stock form it's just an awesome little bike. :)
Most quite video of the channel's history..
For the first time of watching your videos with headphones on, my ears are not bleeding lol..
you ride like a boss! amazing little bikes these!
nice little bike, i think something like that should be perfect for just round the city, especialy over here in slovenia where the cities arent so big and the traffic isn't that awfull
Definitely cute little bike and very nimble.
Great video RJ the Grom looks like its a lot of fun and nimble, reminds me of miniature Nuda.
That looked like great fun, I'd like to have a test ride on one now. 👍👍
Great video review mate, and an excellent 'on board with' view too. Nice one.
11:45 Camaraderie!
Nothing like mutual love & respect for each other like riders.
RJ, you didn't happen to test ride this bike from Chiswick Honda? I took it for a spin today. I have to say I got a bigger grin on this little fella than on a R6.
Haha! Awesome vid RJ as always
Can't wait to get one of these used in a couple of years :)
Jeez, that's some really nice video quality.
Is it still good for a 6 feet 4" guy? I really like this bike, but I'm not sure if it's confortable for a guy with my height.
eusouoestuca Doubt it, you can only try.
RoyalJordanian Thanks bud!
I am 6'2..my girl is 4'11 we both have our own groms and its very comfy for both of us around town. i don't feel scrunched on it and her feet touch the ground just fine. its one of those bikes that seems "just right" for trodding around town.
eusouoestuca No. This is more for people above 6ft 5in, at 6ft 4in you'll probably have trouble reaching the ground.
João Soares Obrigado pela resposta irony-free xD
As another guy wrote, it Would be awesome If you test rode some more 125's. I'm a Young guy as Well, and Would love to see what the cbr 125 and ybr 125 and such are capable of in your hands.
Just a thought.
The YBR 125 is a pretty decent bike I have it.
I'm definitely seeing quite a few of these about now! If I ever have money to burn.. I'd probably pick one of these up for a laugh :P
get it used its a lot cheaper and you can find lots of em at least here now in the states with low miles and decent prices.
love the videos you make
Looks like a fun little city bike
-Intro starts
*volume goes down abit*
-video starts
*raises the volume*
-talking with the man
*raises the volume more*
-riding through the city
*raise way more then supposed too*
AHA, there is the exhaust sound
RJ, thats a pretty quiet exhaust for your standard. would a loud exhaust kill his cutenes?
I think this is the quietest video you have made HAHAHA, Lil baby Braps!
The 2016 version of grom in Thailand is absolute lil beast, im very sad Indonesia's Astra Honda didnt release it....
"Cute" does not a bike make RJ...BUT....The Grom is awesome. OMG. I wish this little beast was around a few years back :-)
Oh, and it IS a great price in the UK for a 125!!
Can you test ride the Yamaha WR125X next??
:) I thought about getting one to put in my van when i go surfing....they're ace looking bikes! Nice one RJ
great i have red 125 ,love it ,lots of fun
RJ was driving along BvG's road to work. I knew I recognised that route. I wonder if they know each other?
The Grom is a pretty cool setup but if I lived in or around London I would want a DRZ400 with 80/20 (Street/Dirt) Tires.
Love this little bike, and currently using it for winter (and bad weather) riding in Oslo, Norway... Yeah Winter, with snow and ice and all :P
Only issue for my use is the smal lwheels and low power, then again it's not exactly made for snowriding :)
Rj you've help me so much cause I been thinking about getting this bike
That was a great scene from prior...
& a great Motovlogger in Hawaii that has really
Modded her GROM out...
