- Let's reset for April! March wasn't filled with AS much success as past months when it comes to my 2024 goals & finding overall life balance this year. In this monthly reset, I'm reflecting on March & sharing how I fell short on some of my goals for the month (plus doing a habit tracker review of my lifestyle routines, fitness, drinking, work, & house projects), THEN I'm looking ahead to April and setting new goals to focus on following a review of Q1 overall. March was definitely busier than I'd like, so I'm excited to prioritize slowing down in April & taking on a 10,000 steps/day challenge! I'm still on a mission to get closer to my ideal self with accomplishing these goals in 2024, so I hope this reset encourages & motivates you.

I love YT, especially videos like this or showcasing implementing new routines, hosting tips, just all of it honestly. Especially now that TikTok might go away. I love how much I have learned from social media like cooking etc.

Do you think those bigger goals work for you or stopping you from making the growth you’re looking for? I’ve tried getting my life together so many times before and the only thing that has ever worked for me is letting go of those “5x in the gym”, and big goals. My mindset is, I’m going to work out whenever I can, eat what I want in moderation but really, my body knows what it’s doing and I let it have what it wants(read the book “the f*** it diet”). It’s really all a mind game. Let yourself know that everything you’re doing is okay and your mind will shift. Even with cleaning, I clean as much as I can, and there may be a week where I don’t do the dishes, and that’s okay. Sometimes I’ll take 2 weeks off the gym, and I just go back but take it slower, but I never say “gotta get my life back together” anymore, cause we’re never gonna be able to go to the gym 5xweek, every week for the rest of our lives. Our life is continuous. Some weeks I go once, some I got three times, some I go five, and some I go zero. One week have more activities than others. We’re not suppose to have the same routine everyday. Be easy on yourself and I promise you’ll meet your goals and beyond, without even try. Let go of that pressure. Everyday is going to look different and that’s okay. Your body is doing everything it needs to do to survive. Whatever that means for you. You’re doing amazing.

I appreciate your thoughtfulness + perspective here! For me, I'm very much an all or nothing person lol, so sometimes being extreme or having a challenge I'm trying to achieve motivates me in a way that gets me excited to do those things. I've been on & off with so many areas of my life for a while now, and though I definitely agree that's just how life goes (& I give myself grace to have those times), ultimately living in 1-2 years of that way of thinking resulted in me not feeling great overall which is what I've been setting out to improve this year. This mainly pertains to fitness for me (since I've had times in my life where I've been really into working out, and was happier) - but I eat what I want always :)
