You mean the fan infront ? Yes, you can remove the fan protect lid ( it looks like grid box case outside) by holding press one each of the lines to one side and dragg it out. Clean each of them.

If you don't wash it, once you starts to use the fan, the water drops from upper part, going through this, and those dirts come down to the water drainage and can block those small water holes. The results can be water to be sprayed outside, not run down smoothly onto the holes and down to the tank.
Use a normal women soap bar like "dove" and put it into the water reservoir inside it. It can soften the water and give u a pleasant smell of outflow air as well

Water keeps growing red mildew. Can we add some alcohol or chlorine or something to try and keep the mildew from growing?
