- The Company We Keep is the culmination of 5 years of skating and filming amongst the Colorado skating scene. Featuring Jeff Gonring, Jon Alires, Brett White, Tom Leong, and Nolan Wojciechowski, the film explores the wide variety of skating and scenery offered within the state, alongside the exceptional people that contribute to making it such a strong community. Whether its via attempting a dangerous stunt, learning a new trick, getting outside and playing with friends, or just cruising down a trail on wheels, The Company We Keep invites the viewer to find the reason why they fell in love with skating in the first place, and to go seek out that feeling again.

what a masterpiece
I miss seeing blades in NYC so fucking much. I'm 40 still in NYC, hard to find aggressives in a size 12 for a decent price, but if I ever do, I will be back on the fucking streets. I used to get mad flak in the 90's for blading here, but I still did it anyway. Harold Hunter was the only dude who ever defended me and was cool with me and I miss him every day and miss seeing him on the streets.
Phenomenal songtrack to all this.
I want to live in Colorado, I want to start skating again. Vibes.
Loved it. Brings back great memories. Love from Sheffield UK
Thanks for watching!! Maybe we’ll cross paths in the future
Excellent all around, bravo
👌good job Brett and everyone 🫡
Hell yeah!!! Sick!!!
Thank you rollerblading ❤
full length?!? wooo boyoyoyoyoing
Beautiful. Thank for sharing. Long live rollerblading!
That vibe 😍
Yes, it’s nice isn’t it? Blading is so good, I don’t understand how people can’t love shoes with wheels on them… best invention ever in my opinion 😊
super vibe video
Amazing video!! Great vibes.
This is the funnest rollerblading movie I've seen in a long time. I really wish I could skate with yall but Im in the wrong part of the state, lol.
Whereabouts? Maybe we’ll be in your neighborhood during CORT?
Tom Leong's style is so sick

Show me a better Pstar 360 out... Exactly!!! This one was buck for what it was. Smooth
Nice watch!!
Thank you for this film. It really felt so positive. My Skate session was rained off this evening so this really helped with the disappointment.
I still remember Evol when Jeff Stanger, Chris Olpin, and I think George Veasy were SLC 3. Funny Spira was in Evol as well.
The two Jeremy's Soderberg and Spira have become legends since that era. It's wild thinking back that was over 10 years ago when I was getting back on the boots after a 10 year break. Felt like starting all over with all the stuff going on then.
Seeing those guys skate in person really puts it into perspective just how good they still are
So proud to be included in your film. This is a great representation of the skate culture here. Awesome work dude!
Appreciate you, Billy!
Excellent movie I enjoyed every minute. You all did an amazing job.
Well done dude
Heyo from Boulder! What an awesome production on every level 🔥 - hopefully i run into you guys sometime!
Heck yeah! Check out ‘colorado Thursday night roll’ and ‘Denver urban skate troop’ on FB/insta for events. Boulder is always a great place to have a session
Thank you, enjoyed this immensely.
Really appreciate that, Cian.
Nice work, Good video 👍🏻
That was fun to watch! Great job everyone and see you guys at the next Mile High Battle! Cheers!
Appreciate you checking it out, JP! Looking forward to seeing you again in the fall 🤙🏻
this felt really wholesome, cheers guys
Great vibe! Great video!
I haven’t watched any blading films in ages. Crazy how rollerblades are so heavily setup for grinding these days. My old set of Rollerblades (circa 1993) were like half the size. Love to go get back into it. So much fun.
There’s a wide variety of options today for boots/setups. We definitely are a little obsessed with grinding though haha!
@@brettwhite3 That’s cos it’s so much fun. I was always way more into skating round the streets finding shit to grind and jump off rather then down to a park. Not that parks aren’t awesome too but something freeing about urban skating.
A fine rollerblade film indeed! 2 bad not every1 was on that off road tip
I feel like we barely scratched the surface. Would love to find some new trails, and would love to get back to a bike park with a crew
Awesome video Brett! Great representation of Colorado skating! Couldn’t make the premiere but glad I was able to watch it.
Awesome video legends! ✊🔥💪🙌
Impressive edit, great choice of music and awesome rollerblading!
Thank you Tom! I appreciate that
beautiful. you really captured what its like to be a blader and the fun to be around your friends.
it genuinely moved me...
thank you for this
Your words mean a lot. Thank you.
this is a sick flick dudelaroni
this is insanely good.
Awesome video Brett! This turned out awesome! Great skating and awesome filmwork! Well done everyone!
I thought Josh fell off, hadn’t see a vid from him pop up in a while. Great to see you all in action. This is a long video and time well spent. Awesome 🏆
Thank you! Yeah Josh has been an awesome friend to skate with and a great influence on the scene as a whole. He’s definitely still skating!
Thanks for the film man… I grew up in Boulder and now live in Denver… it’s really cool to see all the spots I used to skate and how the community has grown in recent years. It makes me wanna get back into some rollerblades and see if I can still do it. Much love y’all ❤
Thank you for watching! Skating classic spots was a big highlight of the experience for me. Holler if you end up getting back into it!
This video makes me want to start going to TNR again, man i miss skating!
Good Vibes 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
What an amazing edit! Colorado rollerblading is something special. Really enjoyed this movie!
Love the persistence never give up til u get it right ✅️ 💯 👌
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
i liked this cuz i felt the tricks were more relatable but still super sick and the filming/editing is on point
Lots of people skating the Powerslide next tri skate 110 mm on this video. I have the same skates: grey, black, teal blue wheel cores
Wow super dope edit! This was a pleasure to watch! Great job on every level 👏
Bank to bar right by my place! 2:53
Great Job Brett! Colorado has always been rolling their own scene for quite awhile really, Denver in particular has carried the torch. Some of My favorite memories are being allowed in rolling (I was 48 yrs at the time , so roll was about the extent for me) with my son, nephew, Spira, The Prince, Jeremy Gallagoes, Luke bender, Eli Davis a host of others as they made their way through neighbor hood comps, and other friendly underground contests. Then there is The Great Colorado Road trip! Thanks to rollers like you all, I worked at both Woodward West and East, made it to several IMYTA's and volunteered , and had my own crazy skate road trip in the infamous Skull Car, back in the days of Daily Bread!! thanks for the memories
That sounds wild, Jonathan! So cool that you’ve been able to experience all of that. I just hope it continues in one form or another!
Really cool video, thanks for sharing! By chance, have you guys seen Aragon blading in CO recently? I've heard some rumors he's getting back into it. Would be so sick to see him in a video like this. I know he has a full time "real job" in CO, but he's one of the best to ever do it. Keep up the good work, and cheers from FL!
Thank you for the support! Brian definitely still skates. It’s been great to have him at sessions more regularly.
Pretty damn good flick!
Thanks Tom! Fun shredding with ya!
@@brettwhite3 you did an awesome job showing what the Colorado blading scene is all about
where is the rail at 8:41?! coming backout to colorado next month
Horizon High School in Thornton
Bom demais !
This is rad! I’m trying to do something pretty much identical but up here in Alaska. Doing it essentially all on my own. Any advice would be awesome.
That’s awesome! I don’t know that I have too much advice other than figure out what your vision is and stick to it. A lot of my filming was aimless, and I struggled to pull it together into a cohesive film at the end as a result. Who knows if you’ll have that same problem though. My general advice is to organize your clips, edit while you film, and always remember to have fun with it!
yooo is there a spot in Colorado yall get your aggressive skates from? id order online but i wanna make sure the sizing is good. im lookin to get a pair of razor sl. anyways great parts from all yall, cant wait to join this Colorado community!
Hey! There used to be a skate shop where we tried them on before we bought, but that shop has since closed its doors. You can give Denver Skates in Arvada a call, but they are quad focused and likely don’t have much of their inline inventory in stock anymore. Beyond that, what size are you looking for? I have a new pair of size 8-9 shells I need to get rid of. You can also ask around in the TNR Facebook page or check blade trade outpost on Facebook.
Otherwise, gotta buy online in multiple sizes and return the one that fits worse… I use intuition skate shop primarily, but there are lots of good shop owners who can help you over the phone
Fuck, I should've been born in Colorado
What helmets would you recommend? I just started getting back into skating here in Lakewood but I'd also like to not kill myself lol.
Whatever helmet FITS and that you actually WANT to wear! There are different certifications and what-not, and I’m not too educated on all of them to be honest. The dual-certified MIPS by triple8 looks like a good option for a lot of protection, but I couldn’t find a size that fit me well enough. I personally have an ennui elite helmet right now. I used to have a POC crane. Both have worked well for me. Try on a few and pick your favorite!
What kind of blades were being used on that dirt trail?!
Just normal ones with big wheels! Urethane wheels work fine on smooth hard-packed trails, like the jump lines we were doing, but tires come in handy on sand and bumps.
Im getting into aggressive skating. Is there a way i can join the colorado community?
Check out Denver Urban Skate Troop, and Colorado Thursday Night Roll on FB/insta. That’s a good place to start!
Where are some good spots to skate in the Springs?
Hmm good question. Hit up @acostablades channel - he might know some good ones. I’ve only street skated there a couple of times myself, and I don’t remember where we were! There are definitely a few classic spots in the area though.

What’s your local?
Why is this so goofy and skateboarding isn’t?
