honestly I think autumn is the perfect season to keep the island in since the seasons usually is associated with harvests, pumpkins, and lil hay rides at farms :))
This is an idea for your farm core island. Maybe you could make an RV park. There pretty popular in farmy areas. You could use simple panels or cut-out signs with the holes in them idk what there called. I made one awhile ago and it looked cool. I think It could be a cute addition to your island.:)

froggy if you wanted to get the villager home remodeling quicker then I would just place the required items outside and say it was done and would still count as a finished home! You don't have to I understand if you want to put more work into it but just an idea.
