Paul was quite nervous when we first did videos with him, but away from the cameras he's always been a very outgoing and full of banter kind of character. James too, way back, was also quite reserved. As a person gains more experience as to what's needed to make a watchable video, then they usually start to shine quite quickly. Same with most tasks I'd say. It can be really difficult for some people though, speaking in public. When we are all in a good frame of mind, the banter flows through the day, and I just let them have ( mostly ) free reign these days and they both have a good understanding of the humour that the majority of us anglers seem to share. Glad you enjoyed the video (s): and cheers for the well expressed comment. Chappy 👍 ps they hate each other off set and sit in their own winnibago😂😂😂
What a beautiful looking water, and superb chub & ide to boot. Good to see you and Chappy back as well James , curious to see what Cadence is all about?
Can anyone help explain using a FLOATING maggot on the drop?? Is that due to weighting it so it drops through the water but surely you would just use normal maggots without a weight? Confused. Also, additives are bollocks, never have been needed, never will be, easy 5 quidders for the manufacturers, nothing more.
Floating maggot on the drop is used to provide a slower fall to mimic the loose feed samples which don't have the weight of a hook in them. Regarding additives, it's impossible to know what a fish perceives. The choice is there, take it or leave it what I would say after just witnessing barbel find single fishmeal based baits in a vast river is that fish can most certainly detect what they are naturally attracted to with some ease and speed!!!🤔
What a wonderful friendship James and Paul have, Love it when the banter starts between them. Entertainment guaranteed!

Enjoyed the video until I realised that quality chub in spawning condition were being dropped (yep dropped) into a keepnet.
Agree. Love fishing but can not stand match anglers or close season fisherman. You got 9 months to go fishing. All about money like everything else
