This and pope of Greenwich village are two of my favorite 80s movies from a bygone era in nycs history. The mgm dvd I own of this is not bad quality , but I definitely would buy the new blu ray. release.

Absolutely one of the worst movies ever. If you took everything that was bad about the 80s and put it in one movie, this is it. The costumes, set decorating, directing and the worst NYC accents ever. Imagine Vinnie Barbarino from Welcome Back Kotter replacing Marlon Brando in the movie The Godfather.
It was very MTV”ish but it was still cool looking with the congo lights in the background like King Of New York and I also liked the soundtrack myself and in fact I liked the loft they lived in too very accurate for New York then.
