Great update Charlie don't be too concerned about flitting from one area/project to another I agree you need to keep the interest and vary what you present on your videos yes you will put some people off but I think the majority of us are happy with your channel and how you structure it.
Great video Charlie, you have a tremendous setup for your layout/workspace. I try to make an effort to comment on all of your videos, it’s the least that I feel we can do to show our appreciation for the tremendous amount of work you do for the hobby. I have had a terrible couple of years battling depression and PTSD. Your videos piqued my interest during the worst of times and have inspired me to get off my backside and build my own layout, currently a tail chaser 17’ by 8’ The only spanner in the works has been that she who must be obeyed has decided that we need to move thus we have a pending house move early next year. The good news is I have managed to secure a good size room in the new house for my layout. I have a feeling I will be sifting through your extensive playlist at the appropriate time. Keep them coming!1 Best Ross
Many thanks, Ross, I’m so pleased that you enjoy the channel. Perhaps a house move might be better if the Model railway location is warm and comfortable. Regards, Charlie.
@ Thanks- yes it is a heated room within the basement, approx 10m x 3M. I have started the planning process on railmodeller due to being an apple addict… Thanks for taking the time to respond- BW to you and yours for the holiday season.
I already spend too much time on RUclips and not enough actually modelling, so I can only visit Chadwick occasionally -- usually when researching a particular technique -- knowing that the quality and knowledge is high. Also, my budget and skills are nearer train set standards, so I can only dream of implementing some of the amazing stuff here. Main thing I've taken from this video?: a model railway is never complete! Keep it up, Charlie, and have a great 2025!
Great video Charlie, best of luck next year in progressing on selected projects. I have a video idea for you. I´d like to see some trains running, but to make it easier for you, I suggest that when you have a driving session, just put a camera to a certain spot and let it roll for couple of minutes. Not all shots need to track the train and be fancy. I You have places to spot trains on your layout, so whatever you drive around is good because we get to watch it. Or, if you do have some play time in the freight yard, you can record a timelapse for us to see how it works. I´d certainly like that :D
Impressive work Charlie, as you say you have a lot of pieces in production plus all the other stuff you do, so well done. Can't wait to see you running trains with some mates to show how all that planning comes to fruition., but totally agree you want to concentrate on getting it all looking correct too. Top man !
Well Charlie, once again a great video and update as to your work so far. Yes more trains are always welcome, however the tech and scenery updates are very helpful when constructing a railway model, so keep a balance between both. As ever your descriptive and actual video perspective are well balanced. Look forward to the end of year video and too 2025. Well done keep it up! Steve.
Many thanks, Steve, I do value your opinion. Just one video left this year, a bit of a review and a few trains running. Next year, here comes the scenery! Regards Charlie.
Charlie there is nothing wrong with butterfly modeling most of us do it do not beat yourself up over it. One reason budget and family commitments and work. Also its a to be enjoyed as a when you can do it. Railway modeling its very good way of relaxing into another world.
With regards to your 100mph tracks down to the helix, concrete sleeper isn't required. The two fast lines through Bedford station area, which were realigned and relaid, uses wooden sleepered track. This was done in 1978. It was only in the 1990s when the extra platform was added onto the fast lines was it relaid using continuous welded, concrete sleepered track.
Another great video - I don't envy you your to-do list though Charlie. All that to do while keeping the videoes coming and working with McKinley etc. That's an unenviable workload. Thank you for taking it on - on behalf of all your viewers.
To be honest, I find your videos both informative/educational and inspirational. Whilst I guess we all enjoy seeing a train running, I personally subscribe to build on my own knowledge and ideas for my current layout which is being built. If every new release was just trains running I don't feel that the appeal would be the same for me personally. Also, you quite often hit upon things which I am already mulling over, for example the whole complex issue of platform heights on the "non-railway side", and how things like family life prevents work on the layout. I find it quite refreshing that you openly discuses things that haven't gone to plan (such as the porcelain platform edge build), as I sure everyone has things that don't go as initially planned, which in turn can be quite disheartening (especially when the financial coast is considered) until you realise that this is down to everyone's own personal journey when creating a layout, and simple both a step learning curve and the nature of the hobby. So basically... Keep doing what you are doing, you can't please all of the people all of the time. Kindest of regards
Charlie, great update. Thank you for sharing, and showing actually how big your layout is, very informative. You have done lots, but still lots to do. Isn't that always the way. I look forward to progress, and you sharing with me. A station area is always a difficult one, and you may have a winner making the ground to the station at station level, and the track is in a small recess. Great idea. I will have to rethink mine, as that is were I am stuck as well. Cheers, stay safe, and Happy Modelling, Michael
The layout is really coming on ,and I finally joined my local model railway club The Crawley model railway club, and been going since 1958 , but it's your encouragement that made me realise a club is good to join, and a nice lot ,and they have some lovely layouts too ,I took my hornby 2 hal emu in BR blue to run on their southern based layout last night.
hi Charlie great to see the whole railway room would love a model railway like this .this is my favorite model railway and always ejnoy your videos look forward to the next instalment
Hi Charlie. thanks for another entertaining video. it is indeed a massive project but one which gives pleasure to you and thousands of others! One thought on platform heights though. Have you allowed for the thickness of whatever surface you have on top of the plywood, or are you going to just paint/treat the top of it? To get the overhang at the platform edge I think you would need some sort of surface - maybe the same as you did at the branch line station? Carry on butterflying - lots of us do the same!
Charlie, love your videos. I appreciate the time that it takes to produce them, along with modelling and of course life itself. Can't wait to get stuck in to my model railway project.
Nice your of the layout and the progress Charlie. You also seem to have rather nice taste for your wall decorations 😮😊 Some ‘scenery’ to lift the spirits.
Very nice tour of your layout and the parts that require attention and all of it written on one piece of paper. If I were to do the same, mine would end up with three pages of paper. So, it will be one stage at a time. The worktable in the lounge has the start of the second curve section of the Viaduct. This time I am making it all one piece instead of two as before and already I can see how much better it is. I have no plans to remake the first one, it will stay as it is. Thank you, Charlie, for the tour. Martin. (Thailand)
Love the amount of space you have to move about your layout, and that wonderful work table area you have. Also really enjoyed having a gander at your signaling system, but my back and eyes started to complain when I saw the meters of cabling. LOL Thanks so much for the extensive tour.
PLJI indent numbers you have first left position 1 i.e. 10:30 next left position 2 i.e. 9 o'clock next left position 3 i.e 7:30 first right position 4 i.e 1:30 next right position 5 i.e. 3 o'clock next right position 6 i.e. 4:30
What a great video. I’ve been watching for a good 3 years or so and it’s actually amazing to see how much the layout has progressed over that time - and how much there still is to do. Looking forward to more great things in 2025
Excellent video Charlie - It was great to have an overall view of the entire layout, the finished areas (for now!) and hearing your plans for the areas still to be worked on. I guess it never really ends but that's what we love about this hobby (well that's what I keep telling myself!)
great vid charlie , lovely to see the whole layout and plans for the future . I used to live in kingsbridge and worked in totnes shipmate , lol . glad to see you are much better m8 , regards ade
Hi Charlie, Thank you for this update giving a insight to your future plains, as with all your videos they show how you do your layout but it's your advice that helps me move forward and as I have said before I still use your pass videos even today but I can only ever like one time. I look forward to more in 2025.
Very enjoyable, as you say lots of work ahead, I find i have to have a definitive start and end point to each project end generally finish each one otherwise i get distracted and sometimes do not use my time wisely. All the best for Xmas.
Great video as always. You have a lot more patience than me. I love the fact you guys show us how a real railway would work in model form. My layout on the other hand is just one bit oval and totally un prototypical but I love it and that's the real point isn't it. Looking forward to the next few videos and looking forward to seeing the branch line station and canopies. Have a lovely Christmas pal .
Great video Charlie as always. I’m looking at building a new layout with block detection. So as a suggestion for a future video possibly showing the Digitrax system and all the components needed and how to connect them for block detection. Kind of like a beginners guide but detailing everything that’s needed if you went down the Digitrax route. Sort of a follow on video to your intro into block detection one. Just a thought but keep the brilliant content coming as you’ve inspired me massively over the last 4 years.
Excellent video Charlie. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one re-laying track through the station. Having the road at the same height as the platforms in the station area will, I think, improve the look and the "trough" effect for the tracks will add to the interest. I'm looking forward to see you do it. Regards Charles
Greetings from Lexington, Kentucky, USA! Avid viewer of your inspiring videos for a number of years, your grand tour of the entire train room provided me with perspective I’ve needed for quite a while. Cheers and please keep up the great work sir!!
Thank you Charlie - that was a great video. It pulled everything that you have demonstrated into a proper context. So informative and interesting! I saw myself in the "butterfly" approach and I am so pleased that I am not the only one like that! Please keep the videos coming.
Another lovely update. I love these layout updates and the timing of this as a motivational boost couldn't have been better! A summary of progress and a overview of plans for the future with a breakdown into tasks, well delivered! I find it really useful when trying to do the same here. And I really wish I was at the stage of having trains running myself. It's the basic first milestone 😅 Good video and looking forward to your continued progress 👍🏻
Wow Charlie, so much going on. My main experiences of stations are Winchester and Fratton. Both are approached at 'surface level', so the track is lower. I love your layout and enjoy your musings. Have a great Christmas. Dave.
Great video, Charlie as usual. Lots to see and lots to reflect upon.I agree that having the road level with the station building rules out a lot of issues in the future and I think the decision must be the correct one. In real life my experience has been Bristol Temple, Meads, and now Worcester shrub hill, both of which have long inclines up to the station building, but where space is limited as in any model railway situation. yours is much the best solution.
Charlie, you do provide an excellent mix of content associated with many of the wider aspects of the hobby (is 'hobby' pronounced 'obsession'? 😀). I am not a modeller and kinda wish I had the time, though if I'm honest with myself I really lack the patience for much of what would be required these days. CMW and a few other channels like yours provide much vicarious enjoyment of the whole game. I shared the figure painting video with my (well and truly grown up) sons who have started getting into the the whole Warhammer thing, they both found it interesting and useful. Thank you.
Charlie, I do so enjoy your channel, the variety of content and the the way you install, uninstall, reinstall, upgrade, amend is reassuring and very entertaining. In my mind I have built a massive model based upon 1930’s Southampton docks in, knowing it will never happen! Looking forward to seeing your videos in 2025. Thank you making them.
Great video Charlie and I do have a couple of suggestions for you. For the tunnel mouth to the helix (5:05) might it be an idea that instead of using the Hornby tunnel mouth you make a bespoke one at an angle that more or less matches the edge of the top board of the helix? That way you would not be faffing about trying to fill that gap in that exists between the tunnel mouth as is and the board? My second suggestion is more of an observation. You show us your plan on how to build up the platform for the main station using 18mm ply. Good stuff, but I can't quite tell from the image at 21:00 if you have allowed for whatever topping you are planning on using for the platform itself. Surely, like the branch line station whatever you lay, be it loose or printed it will and 1mm or 2mm to the height of the platform? It may be that you don't need that extra layer of cork at all, or just a thin layer not 3mm? I could be completely wrong because I am looking through a video camera, not in real life so it is just a thought. Good luck for the next year!
That is some awesome layout, and it's not finished yet. I've been following you for quite some time, and the changes have been amazing. Good luck for 2025.
Great video as usual, slow progress is better than no progress. I have to agree with the butterfly effect, it happens to me all the time. Start one project, then another, then like you said, electrical issues, loco issues, you never seem to get time to finish a single project, something always gets in the way. But that is building a model railway. And then you start to think of pulling it down and starting all over, because you get better at things and realise you could have done it differently. Merry xmas and happy modelling.
Brilliant update Charlie nice to see trains running also enjoy your tutorials as well let’s me understand what I am trying to accomplish with my layout 🚂🚂🚂🚂
Watching the train cam at the end of the video, you don't need a signal with a feather because you are joining a line and not branching off of it like you were with the original placing of the signal. You might be able to use it on the opposite side of the track.
Another great video Charlie. I and obviously I only speak for myself, enjoy all the videos regardless. The air brush ones, the figure painting came at the right time for me, the electrics the tips and the running ones. Keep up the good work and when we finally meet up I will buy you a cup of tea and a cake 👍.
Thank you, Charlie, for another interesting and informative video. You are an inspirational person and one who improves the mental health of many viewers. I'm in the process of designing and building a new layout and look forward to your video's.
Great update thank you Charlie, really enjoyed the full layout tour and to hear of your future plans it's all very exciting! As for having the road at the same level as the station and platforms I personally think that this would be best. Good luck, look forward to the next video
Fantastic video Charlie. Great update. Looking forward to what you achieve in 2025. Ordered the light from Craft lighting which arrived the other day. This is going to make a huge difference to my progress in building my layout. Thank you for your recommendation. Roy.
I really do love your videos... I've had NO chance to make any progress on my own layouts (switching one, and the main one) for a year because of awful family troubles developing into legal issues :( watching yours puts a smile on my face, and makes me confident that eventually I'll get back to it!
Great video Charlie. I think when we see you working on individual parts of the layout, we forget that there is far more going on than we can actually see. As you say, a huge undertaking and good luck with it all.
Charlie I’m watching this video in absolute awe, an amazing layout and your skills are superb. I’ve enjoyed every one of your videos and learned something new from each of them. Looking forward to your plans for next year.
Thanks for the update Charlie. Well Done on the new Award from Hornby Magazine. It looks like 2025 is set to be a busy year for Chadwick, but then again, when is it not! Best of the Season Greetings to You and Yours. Gibs.
Hi Charlie, another great informative video and it was great to see an overview of the whole layout. I have a couple of observations/comments about the signalling though, I like the idea of the gantry signal at the station but you would not need feather indicators on the station signals, I would leave the signal by the viaduct where it is to control access to the branch and yard. You could have a theatre box on this indicating branch or yard. In my opinion the signal that controls access to the branch station and the yard is to close to the mainline junction and potentially any train held at that signal when it is red would foul the mainline which I believe was the case in one of your previous videos. If that signal needed to be red any train accessing the branch could be held at the previous signal by the viaduct and I would suggest that you would only need a position light signal to control access to the yard off the branch. These and not criticisms by any means and I’m not a signalling expert but are my observations and as always there are more than one way to achieve the same aims. Looking forward to the next instalment.
Thanks Charlie, A great video as always. Thank you for the overview update and your plans for next year. The layout is evolving splendidly. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks & a happy Christmas to you and yours. Nathan
Hello again Charile. Really enjoying this episode (not that I don't enjoy all your content). What you've achieved is truly remarkable. It is a privilege to be invited along on your adventure! Thanks very much for all the infortainment.
Very interesting nice to see the layout what's gonna happen next it's really interesting and by the way thank you for the heads up with the light absolutely brilliant once again thanks very much
I keep coming back to your videos which I always find quite absorbing and I was pleased to see a bit of running today, especially the camera-in-the-cab section. Chadwick Parkway Station is beginning to take shape and I agree with your design for it, no need for change there. The TMD will take care of itself as far as I am concerned with whatever is necessary to be done should be done. I look forward to following the layout's progress in 2025 but would appreciate a little more running during each episode that you film. Have a great Christmas, Eric.
Great stuff Charlie. Yet another amazing video. Yes it’s good to see the trains running but your diversity in subject matter is brilliant and a great learning tool for us novices. Keep up the great subject matter whichever you want to run it. Thanks for all your hard work and super entertainment. John.
Thanks for the update and enjoyed the tour of the room. Always interesting to see other people's modelling environment. On a separate note the hill in the corner of your layout is crying out for a small clump of trees at the top. They would just finish it off and hide the angle in the backscene.
Thank you Charlie for your informative video thar helps better understand your achievements over the past 12 months & the level of planning you go to to achieve a realistic working railway.
Fantastic video Charlie. I really enjoyed watching this one. It’s great to see around your ‘man cave’, but I bet the workstations are not always so tidy! It’s a big room but you’ve also packed so much into the space, with the helix’s effectively doubling your track space. The back scenes on the wall also reminded me of a hilarious previous video of yours. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for another really informative video Charlie. So professionally presented. Regarding the station platform and roadway approach I would perhaps comment that vehicles would not quite be at the same level as the platform and buildings as there would usually be a pavement separating the car parking area from platform area. Can't wait for the next installment. Merry Christmas.
Thanks for posting this Charlie - I don't think I have actually seen your whole layout before, at least not in single video! You are very organised and obviously planning is a key element in your thought process...we are all guilty of the "butterfly effect" at some time or other, given the complex nature of most of our layout planning, jumping between desires and practicality in how we use our space effectively...Too often you see a layout that has an industry or structure with no thought gone into access for vehicles or people! In fact just this afternoon I decided to make a change that will work favourably for my main passenger station as well as provide a view block - it's all a fun part of the process! Cheers and best wishes from Melbourne, Australia...
Hi Charlie. I always look forward to your fortnightly videos. There's always something new that I can take on board, Being a rather "mature" beginner, I often find my learning curve needs to be rather steep. The pace of your videos is ideal, especially the "shorts", painting figures for example, and would welcome you filming loco maintenance when you get round to it. It's easy to assume that the level of knowledge viewers possess is greater than it really is. I realise this might annoy experienced modellers but I welcome the way you explain things. Many of us started on our journey in later life and despite being 72 consider myself as being at primary school level in regard to model railways. Keep it up. You're doing a great service to a lot of people. Ray
Great work Charlie, nice to have the Catch up video, shows the scope of your work and gives a better overall size of scale etc. look forward to the next one!
@@ChadwickModelRailway Like the idea of less droppers! with the requirement to solder some sections together so that existing droppers have connectivity are you not to concerned about track expansion during warmer weather?
@@ChadwickModelRailway Well, i've done it myself, new section went in today, less droppers and a couple of soldered sections, tomorrow will be 40+ degrees here in Perth, so we'll see what we shall see. Have a Fantastic Christmas and a happy new year!
Thank you for your very informative and honest account of the progress and update about Chadwick. I think the topographical features make the landscape look very interesting and realistic.
Do the station area without adding more cork. We quite often step up 6 inches into a train and the 2mm will allow some height for platform surface and foundations for the station building.
Great update Charlie don't be too concerned about flitting from one area/project to another I agree you need to keep the interest and vary what you present on your videos yes you will put some people off but I think the majority of us are happy with your channel and how you structure it.

I’m so pleased you found it interesting Martin. Stay safe, regards, Charlie.
Love the amount of space you have to move about your layout, and that wonderful work table area you have. Also really enjoyed having a gander at your signaling system, but my back and eyes started to complain when I saw the meters of cabling. LOL
Thanks so much for the extensive tour.
Thanks mate, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the tour. Regards, Charlie.
PLJI indent numbers

Thanks, Stuart, much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
What a great video. I’ve been watching for a good 3 years or so and it’s actually amazing to see how much the layout has progressed over that time - and how much there still is to do. Looking forward to more great things in 2025
Thanks Alistair, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks for the update video. It was great to see the entire layout and how it has progressed.
Thanks Stephen, I’m so pleased that you found the video interesting. Regards, Charlie.
Excellent video Charlie - It was great to have an overall view of the entire layout, the finished areas (for now!) and hearing your plans for the areas still to be worked on. I guess it never really ends but that's what we love about this hobby (well that's what I keep telling myself!)
Thanks Steve , I’m so pleased that you found it interesting. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks, love see the layout, and like all your videos and while aren't just what I am looking for but enjoy them all. Keep up the great work😊
Thanks Jack, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
great vid charlie , lovely to see the whole layout and plans for the future . I used to live in kingsbridge and worked in totnes shipmate , lol . glad to see you are much better m8 , regards ade
Thanks Ade, yes onthe mend hopefully. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks for the tour!!! It does put things into perspective. Great update 🙂
Thanks LJR, much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, Thank you for this update giving a insight to your future plains, as with all your videos they show how you do your layout but it's your advice that helps me move forward and as I have said before I still use your pass videos even today but I can only ever like one time. I look forward to more in 2025.
Thanks John, it’s great to have you on board. Regards Charlie
Very enjoyable, as you say lots of work ahead, I find i have to have a definitive start and end point to each project end generally finish each one otherwise i get distracted and sometimes do not use my time wisely. All the best for Xmas.
Thanks four Oaks, have a great one yourself. Regards, Charlie.
Nice video Charlie! Your videos are always informative and relaxing to watch. I hope Santa brings you a nice new locomotive for Christmas!
Thanks WC, that’s most kind. Regards, Charlie.
Many thanks, Chris, and for your kind comments. Regards, Charlie.
Great video as usual. I always look forward to any new ones. Captures my era of British Rail.
Thanks Andrew, I’m so pleased that you found it interesting. Regards, Charlie.
We have very much enjoyed updates on the layout over the year!. Layouts are rarely completed, its all about the journey! Merry Christmas from us!
Thanks, Kingsview, much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, great layout update. Keep the videos coming I look forward to seeing them.
Thanks Richard, I’m so pleased that you found it interesting. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Stuart, please check out my videos.
78 and 137.
Also McKinley Railway 32.
There, quite a lot on RUclips already.
Regards Charlie
Excellent video Charlie. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one re-laying track through the station. Having the road at the same height as the platforms in the station area will, I think, improve the look and the "trough" effect for the tracks will add to the interest. I'm looking forward to see you do it. Regards Charles
Thanks Charles, yet more signals from AA though! Regards Charlie
Greetings from Lexington, Kentucky, USA! Avid viewer of your inspiring videos for a number of years, your grand tour of the entire train room provided me with perspective I’ve needed for quite a while. Cheers and please keep up the great work sir!!
Thanks Kevin, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
Thank you Charlie - that was a great video. It pulled everything that you have demonstrated into a proper context. So informative and interesting! I saw myself in the "butterfly" approach and I am so pleased that I am not the only one like that! Please keep the videos coming.
Many thanks, Deltic, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it. Regards, Charlie.
Thank you Charlie, I always look forward to your Videos, excellent.
Thanks, Peter, that’s most kind. Regards, Charlie.
It's the basic first milestone 😅
Good video and looking forward to your continued progress 👍🏻
That’s most kind GWRT,
regards Charlie
That was a wonderful catch up and look forward. You have so much to look forward to in 2025 and I look forward to you sharing your progress. Cheers.
Thanks Gene, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
What a great and interesting video that was Charlie. It was good to see the entire layout from a distance. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Thanks, HMB, much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Im in weston at the moment but im moving up to shrewsbury next year charlie cant wait, the rail network up there is amazingly beautiful
Indeed, it is mate, a beautiful contrast. Regards, Charlie.
Wow Charlie, so much going on. My main experiences of stations are Winchester and Fratton. Both are approached at 'surface level', so the track is lower. I love your layout and enjoy your musings. Have a great Christmas. Dave.
Thanks, Dave, and the same to you and yours mate. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks, Martyn, your comment is much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Thank you.
Thanks G5691, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the video. Regards, Charlie.
I’m so pleased you enjoy the channel M1537, regards Charlie
He makes some excellent points, and rest assured I’m not going to use the Hornby tunnel mouth, it’s just a 50p placeholder. Regards, Charlie.
That is some awesome layout, and it's not finished yet. I've been following you for quite some time, and the changes have been amazing. Good luck for 2025.
Thanks Martyn, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
Many thanks, Ken, for such a truthful comment. Regards, Charlie.
Brilliant update Charlie nice to see trains running also enjoy your tutorials as well let’s me understand what I am trying to accomplish with my layout 🚂🚂🚂🚂
Thanks Adam, I’m so pleased that you found the video interesting. Regards, Charlie.
Watching the train cam at the end of the video, you don't need a signal with a feather because you are joining a line and not branching off of it like you were with the original placing of the signal. You might be able to use it on the opposite side of the track.
Thanks, James, for an interesting observation. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks Michael, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the channel. I shall look forward to a cup of tea, regards Charlie.
Thank you, Charlie, for another interesting and informative video. You are an inspirational person and one who improves the mental health of many viewers. I'm in the process of designing and building a new layout and look forward to your video's.
Many thanks, David, I’m so pleased that you enjoy my videos. Regards, Charlie.
Lovely look round Charlie. Love the way you got the lights on the ceiling. Very professional. Very enjoyable update. All the best.
Thanks mate, so pleased that you enjoyed it. Regards, Charlie.
Great update thank you Charlie, really enjoyed the full layout tour and to hear of your future plans it's all very exciting! As for having the road at the same level as the station and platforms I personally think that this would be best. Good luck, look forward to the next video
Thanks, Lee, we sing from the same song sheet.
Fantastic video Charlie. Great update. Looking forward to what you achieve in 2025. Ordered the light from Craft lighting which arrived the other day. This is going to make a huge difference to my progress in building my layout. Thank you for your recommendation. Roy.
Thanks Roy, I’m so pleased that you found the light useful. Regards, Charlie.
I really do love your videos... I've had NO chance to make any progress on my own layouts (switching one, and the main one) for a year because of awful family troubles developing into legal issues :( watching yours puts a smile on my face, and makes me confident that eventually I'll get back to it!
So sorry to hear of your issues BC, perhaps 2025 will turn things around. Regards to Charlie.
@@ChadwickModelRailway Thank you. You're a good man. I really hope it does!!
Great video Charlie. I think when we see you working on individual parts of the layout, we forget that there is far more going on than we can actually see. As you say, a huge undertaking and good luck with it all.
Thanks Kev, I’m so grateful for your support.
Charlie I’m watching this video in absolute awe, an amazing layout and your skills are superb. I’ve enjoyed every one of your videos and learned something new from each of them. Looking forward to your plans for next year.
Thanks M6500, much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks Charlie! I really enjoy your videos!
Thanks Scott, it’s great to have you on board. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks for the update Charlie.
Well Done on the new Award from Hornby Magazine.
It looks like 2025 is set to be a busy year for Chadwick, but then again, when is it not!
Best of the Season Greetings to You and Yours.
Gibs.
Many thanks, Gibs, and the same to you and yours. Regards, Charlie.
Many thanks for your views Ian , I think you’re right the signal needs to go back. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks Charlie,
A great video as always. Thank you for the overview update and your plans for next year. The layout is evolving splendidly.
Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks & a happy Christmas to you and yours.
Nathan
Thanks Nathan, that’s most kind. And the same to you and yours, regards Charlie.
I pretty much enjoy all you videos.
Thanks Stephen, I’m so pleased that you do. Regards, Charlie.
It is epic Charlie, but it is also brilliant. I so look forward to each new episode. A highlight!
Thanks Nick , that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
Hello again Charile. Really enjoying this episode (not that I don't enjoy all your content). What you've achieved is truly remarkable. It is a privilege to be invited along on your adventure!
Thanks very much for all the infortainment.
Thank you Stephen, that’s very kind of you to say so mate. Regards, Charlie.
Very interesting nice to see the layout what's gonna happen next it's really interesting and by the way thank you for the heads up with the light absolutely brilliant once again thanks very much
Thanks Michael, I’m so pleased I enjoyed the video and like the light. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks Eric, and I appreciate your view regarding running. Regards, Charlie.
Great video Charlie
Glad you enjoyed it Ed!
Regards Charlie
Nice layout tour mate. lots of good watching ahead. yay! Arthur
Thanks Arthur, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it. Regards Charlie.
Great stuff Charlie. Yet another amazing video. Yes it’s good to see the trains running but your diversity in subject matter is brilliant and a great learning tool for us novices. Keep up the great subject matter whichever you want to run it. Thanks for all your hard work and super entertainment. John.
Thanks John, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
It's always a pleasure to listen to and watch you on your channel. Regards, Stephen.
Thanks Stephen, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
great vid and tour of the room and train layout nice set up thanks four the vlogs you do on channel thanks lee
Thanks Lee, I’m so pleased that you enjoy the channel. Regards, Charlie.
A great video Charlie. Was especially interested in looking around the whole layout.
Thanks John, I’m so pleased that you found it interesting. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks for the update and enjoyed the tour of the room. Always interesting to see other people's modelling environment.
On a separate note the hill in the corner of your layout is crying out for a small clump of trees at the top. They would just finish it off and hide the angle in the backscene.
Thanks, Ian, and you make an interesting observation. Regards, Charlie.
Thank you Charlie for your informative video thar helps better understand your achievements over the past 12 months & the level of planning you go to to achieve a realistic working railway.
Thanks Roger, your thoughts are very much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks William, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed a look into my world.
Stay safe, regards Charlie.
informative and inspirational video as always fella, have a great Christmas :)
Thanks TW, and the same to you as well mate. Regards, Charlie.
Many thanks for sharing your views, Colin. Much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Many thanks, Greg, the planning of the infrastructure indeed is crucial. Regards, Charlie.
Ray
Many thanks, Ray, for some interesting suggestions. Regards, Charlie.
Great work Charlie, nice to have the Catch up video, shows the scope of your work and gives a better overall size of scale etc. look forward to the next one!
Thanks mate, I’m so pleased that you found it interesting. Regards, Charlie.
@@ChadwickModelRailway Like the idea of less droppers! with the requirement to solder some sections together so that existing droppers have connectivity are you not to concerned about track expansion during warmer weather?
@ that’s a fair point, but I do my track laying with the heating turned up. Regards, Charlie.
@@ChadwickModelRailway Well, i've done it myself, new section went in today, less droppers and a couple of soldered sections, tomorrow will be 40+ degrees here in Perth, so we'll see what we shall see. Have a Fantastic Christmas and a happy new year!
Muchas gracias por tus trabajos y compartirlos con todos nosotros
You’re most welcome, RD, regards Charlie
Thank you for your very informative and honest account of the progress and update about Chadwick. I think the topographical features make the landscape look very interesting and realistic.
Thanks librarian, it’s great to have you on board. Regards, Charlie.
You are a really good role model. Thanks Charlie.
Thanks, H 1952, that’s most kind. Regards, Charlie.
Fantastic video loved it, it is truly amazing what you have done. Always look forward to your videos many thanks.
Thanks Norman, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards Charlie
Hi Charlie just as you said its never ending but it can only get better. cheers
Thanks Kev, I’m so pleased that you found it interesting. Regards, Charlie.
Loved cab eye the running session !
Thanks, Peter, regards Charlie
I wouldn't worry about incomplete projects. You get it done. It looks wonderful. Very impressive. Rail roading is fun!!
Thanks, Roberts, that’s most kind. Regards, Charlie.
Do the station area without adding more cork. We quite often step up 6 inches into a train and the 2mm will allow some height for platform surface and foundations for the station building.
Thanks, Mark, for an interesting suggestion. Regards, Charlie.
Love the overview Charlie… 👌
Thanks, peachy, much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Great update and overview! Looking forward to future updates!
Thanks MRR, so pleased you found it interesting. RegardsCharlie.
