20:30 - You're right; In the UK and Australia, a lot of our media is actually owned by the same large media corporations, and you often see these kinds of "faux antagonistic" interviews to make people who may not otherwise be seen as good people into coming across as more sympathetic figures. Think of it as a type of good cop/bad cop approach, but applied to interviews, documentaries, and biopics (although they'll also do it on certain news segments). I don't know enough about this particular billionaire to say if he's actually objectively a good dude or not, but I would be wary of any interview designed to get us to side with the upper class. Cheers from London! :)
What did he do to actually deserve the hate, though? The only angle I see is political or money envy. Because otherwise he seems like anyone who wants to make fun or interesting stuff happen with the money to usually finance it. Though the title of "Greatest National Treasure" one seems particularly vain, most of the actual stuff he makes seems actually inventive.

I'm an Aussie myself but I don't follow news or politics that much, so the most I know about Clive Palmer comes from the annoying United Australia Party ads, and a set of INCREDIBLY sketchy looking spam texts the UAP sent to voters back in late 2021. Also I haven't watched TV in years, but 60 Minutes was the worst.
@@doobzsalam1847I didn't want to say it since I couldn't be sure, but that was pretty much my read on him. Also I was looking up some stuff about him and the UAP after watching this and the party's slogan was literally "Make Australia Great." Just wow.
gotta tune in for the next titanic video, titanic 666. Also some other great movies on TUBI are Deadly Dilf, Meet the Killer Parents, The Manny, Kitchen Commando and so many more lovely originals

Yeah no, Clive isn't a good person at all - but even I'll say that the interview was way out of line. If you wanna know more there's a channel called "friendlyjordies" that covers Australian politics (amongst other things), and he has some videos about him released in 2019. "Australia's Trump: Clive Palmer" was the first one I saw.
On the one hand, Palmer from what little I know is basically the Australian equivalent to Donald Trump, so I get not liking him. But on the other hand, this reporter is so aggressive for a non-political story that it makes me laugh.
The boat so nice, they sank it twice.
I thought for sure this was going to be about that _Titanic II mockbuster movie. But this is even more insane.
Same here, don't even know what it actually is about yet when it's not about the terrible movie.
I need Jon to cover that Titanic mockbuster movie...
That reporter was kind of a dick, wasn't expecting him to make the crazy titanic man look good

For his standards JonTron’s been going crazy w uploads and I’m totally here for it
after tha 60 minutes interview Clive was like "I was not expecting to be the sane one in this whole thing"
We entered to another dimension where Jontron is releasing videos more frequently
Man you guys reacted to this video so fast 😂.
omg yay i just finished this jontron video, time to watch it again with my favorite reactors
I think 'recent' events have proven that anything having to do with Titanic, aside from the movie, isn't going to do so well.
They already had 3 exact replicas of the Titanic and one other and the Titanic sank while the other dismantled and scrap sold off.
As an Australian I'd just like it known majority of us here hate Clive Palmer.

It's pretty common from what I've seen that Australian interviewer are rude
At least the 60 minutes ones are, I'll give you that.
Nice cold open guys 🎉

A shame it never came to fruition, hopefully my preorder to ride The Challenger II by that New Zealand billionaire doesn’t fall through

I'm hoping this gets people to react to Friendlyjordies's content on him.
I knew better than to immediately trust him even though he seems so jolly. Someone with that amount of money seems super sketchy to me
