Create a recipe is amazing in the premium version. Easier than adding each ingredient separately. The annual cost for premium is small when you add the cost of doing KETO. So worth it!!!

many thanks Jesse, I've been tracking calories for about 2 years using Samsung Health, what I'm frustrated with is my Garmin watch wont connect to SH so I can see calories in/out, I don't use scales so I'll take your advice and try and build it into my meals which are mostly premade/frozen for work Question > does the food tracker work for foods around the world ? I'm in New Zealand, SH works reasonably well here to pick foods thank you again for your advice, kind regards, Don, Kia Ora from Aotearoa :-)
Thank you for watching and the comment! I believe MyFitnessPal would work in New Zealand for the foods you have there. But I’m not 100% sure since I’ve never been there. But give it a try with the free version to see.
My question is if im making a meal and do what you said but if i make a large amount to eat later with the app only track that whole amount of food based off the individual ingredients.
How do i ajust the calories for an item on the free version? For example 100mls of semi skimmed milk is showing up as 50 calories but its actually 48 calories so how do i change this? Its over estimated calories on a few of my food and i know its not a lot but by the end of the day its 100 calories or more and its very annoying. If anyone could provide an answer id greatly appreciate it, thank you x😊
Your information is excellent. I wish that the images of the app were large and you were small. It's extremely difficult to see the images that you're showing of the app content
hmm, i'm not sure even which brand food scale I have. But I think I went on amazon and got one that had decent reviews. Like 4.5 or better. Only spent about $20-30 on it.
Hi. Many thanks for your excellent video. Before I start using the app, I have a doubt. I live in Spain and the products names and barcodes would be spanish names and manufacturers. Would it still work in Spain? May thanks
Thanks for this. I've been using Lose It for several years, but it doesn't sync with my new Galaxy Watch. As a matter of curiosity, how do you account for restaurant meals. For example, yesterday, I had a Mongolian Grill for lunch. My bowl had chicken, green beans, water chestnuts, cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, celery, onion and brown rice (about 1 1/2 cups). How would you handle this in MFP? (this might make a good video series - learn by observing actual usage) Again, Thanks!! G
thanks for the comment, and there is a good amount of estimating involved to track a meal out like this. So generally I'd just do the best I can and not expect that it's perfect. But I'd track each food/ingredient separately. So I'd find a search result for each of those items you listed. Plus I'd add some extra fats for oil and/or butter that they certainly use at restaurants. And it takes a few minutes extra doing it this way, but it's probably more accurate than finding a generic search result that tries to encompass all of that. But maybe I will do a video about this soon too.
I just started today. I don’t have a full scout yet, but I will be getting one by the weekend so from now is it OK if I just try to measure it by the servings until I can get the food scale?
so you don't have to do any math. you can simply put the bowl/plate on the scale. Then you turn it on or zero it out, then start adding your food. that way it only weighs the food.
Hello brOther i have a question I am from Pakistan and i try a lot of time to signe up in myftinesspal but the account isn't created kindly tell me about itt please please 🥺
Why would you want to turn off exercise calories? Don’t you want to eat more depending on exercise? For example some of my bike rides I burn 1200 calories. Most of my workouts I burn 500. Wouldn’t I want to eat more on the days I burn 1200 calories vs 500?
I'm not saying you shouldn't eat strategically more or less based on activity. I have clients who eat more on intense training days too. I'm saying you shouldn't eat back the calories you burn. because the technology that tells us how many calories we're burning, isn't accurate yet. So we might then go out of our way to eat back 1200 calories when we're actually burning 750. So this setting is mainly a precaution for those with weight loss goals. if you don't have weight loss goals, it really doesn't matter anyway.
that's interesting, how was it inaccurate? I have bought a few off amazon that are rated well. Usually look for one with a 4.5 rating or better. Not sure the exact brand I have at the moment.
For a couple, you can cook up however many servings you want between the 2 of you, then split it in half. And for a family, you can weigh out your portion of food after it's cooked. Just search for "chicken breast cooked" in MyFitnessPal or "93% ground turkey cooked." basically, just specifying that you want to track the cooked amount.
