Sahih al-Bukhari 3116 Narrated Muawiya: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If Allah wants to do good for somebody, he makes him comprehend the Religion (i.e. Islam), and Allah is the Giver and I am Al-Qasim (i.e. the distributor), and this (Muslim) nation will remain victorious over their opponents, till Allah's Order comes and they will still be victorious." It's about knowledge of deen, Not everything.
The tawassul is with the Maqam of Rasool Allah ﷺ, not necessarily our Iman right? Because our Iman can also be deficient as could be our connection with him ﷺ. But what is not questionable is his ﷺ highest Maqam.
Which imams Authenticated this incident during uthman radialllhu anhu?can you give reference for this? cause salafis says these incidents are fabricated
umm......kindly ask them which imam called the narrations as weak? what proof do they have that its fabricated? or if its weak? lets even agree that if ya said it to be weak, the narration is weak. then who told them that this narration cant be acted upon? do they not know that the muhadditheen who say that some hadith is weak, do they not say that the hadith can be acted upon in the matter of virtue? and ahlus sunnah wal jamaah consider tawassul to be mustahab, and the hadith is enough for this act to be proven mustahab

Sayyiduna Malik al-Dar, the treasurer of food during the time of Sayyiduna ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab radiyallahu ‘anhu, reports that once the people had been experiencing a drought in the era of Sayyiduna ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu), a man went to the grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and said, ‘O Rasulullah, ask for rain on behalf of your ummah, for verily, they are being destroyed.’ Thereafter this person was instructed in a dream to go to Sayyiduna ‘Umar radiyallahu ‘anhu and tell him that, ‘the rains will soon come and say to him, Be intelligent’, When ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu) was informed of this, he began to cry and he said, ‘O My Lord, I will only leave out what I am unable to do.’ (Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah vol.12 pg.31-32; Dala’il Al-nubuwwah of Imam al-Bayhaqi vol.7 pg.47). Hafiz Ibn Kathir (rahimahullah) has stated that the chain of narrators is ‘good and strong’ (Musnad al-Faruq vol.1 pg.223). Hafiz Ibn Hajar has also indicated to its authenticity in Fath al-Bari.

Why didn't Shaykh Asrar bring this hadith in his debate with Shaykh Abdur Rehman Hassan. This hadith has to be the clearest evidence for Tawassal.
